## Mezmo Reviews
  ### 1. Streamlined Log Management and Observability with Mezmo

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nilansh B. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Mezmo makes it incredibly easy to collect, process, and analyze logs across distributed systems. The UI is intuitive and it is easier to add filters for the kubernetes pods and different systems.
The real-time search and filtering saves hours during incident response.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Costing can grow significantly as log volume increases.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mezmo helps us centralize and streamline our log management. Instead of manually stitching together logs from multiple systems, we can ingest, process, and enrich them in one place. This makes troubleshooting and root-cause analysis much faster, reduces downtime during incidents, and gives our team better visibility into system health.

  ### 2. Mezmo has helped our security operations as far as speed, efficiency, and integrations available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

We've utilized Mezmo since the LogDNA days, and it has been the forefront of our incident response. We've tried several platforms and none of them had the speed of data ingestion. It integrates with several ingestion paths, and the pipeline features is extremely powerful. My team uses it on a daily basis and I can't emphasize how helpful their engineers are to help implement.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Pipeline is a bit difficult to understand at first, but has made strides of continuous improvements since coming out. The Mezmo team has helped us implement efficiently.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mezmo has given us the ability to monitor different endpoints for infrastructure and security in one dashboard with different modularity for stats and analytics.

  ### 3. It was a very amazing experience

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

It helps in Monitoring the statuses and also in keeping the track of all the records at one place and then distribute them amongst us

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

There's nothing to dislike. There's nothing at all to complain about it

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To Monitor the data and it helped at all in most of my data issues

  ### 4. Efficiency at par

Using Mezmo efficiently increased my teams productivity which is very much needed.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Some time its not very easy to implement and use for newcomer

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In first some heavy implemenrations are get very easily donr with the help of Mezmo pipeline which earlier was very hectic work to do.

  ### 5. Memzo provide me a good experience with its user friendly interface which has builtin dashboard.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjay D. | Data Analytics and Engineering , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Mezmo Observability Pipeline enables us to quickly identify issues and reduce the time to resolution. Its real-time visibility helps us to pinpoint the root cause of problems, leading to faster incident response and improved system performance.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I like all the service which is provided by Memzo, but if I want to point out one limitation is that the development and maintenance of an effective observability pipeline can be complex sometime and it's require specialized knowledge and skills.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mezmo Observability Pipeline monitors, troubleshoots, and manages large volumes of data generated by complex distributed systems. It improves collaboration between teams, enabling them to quickly identify and resolve issues, improving system reliability and performance.
This helps our organizations to keep their systems running smoothly and quickly resolves issues. It saves time and effort by making it easier to find and fix problems before they affect our customers or business operations.

  ### 6. Amazing product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** G Santosh K. | Application Development Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

One of the notable features of Mezmo Observability Pipeline is its ability to provide comprehensive visibility into distributed systems and microservices. Mezmo Observability Pipeline can help organizations improve their operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance customer experience by providing timely and actionable insights into their systems.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

One potential limitation of the platform is that it may require significant resources and expertise to implement and maintain effectively. Organizations may need to invest in skilled personnel, infrastructure, and tools to configure, monitor, and analyze the data generated by the platform.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Mezmo Observability Pipeline is designed to solve the problem of gaining visibility and insights into complex and distributed technology environments. With the increasing complexity of modern IT infrastructures, it can be challenging for organizations to identify and diagnose issues, monitor performance, and ensure availability across various layers of the technology stack.

  ### 7. Easy to use, great app, but with limitations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Very easy to implement.

Define the name of the app and environment.

App is great! Compact, good UI. Logs are easy to read. Different color for warn/error. Visualization of spikes.

Setup alerts, including alerts when certain logs spike in frequency. Many great options in the app.

App makes it easy to see only certain types of logs, from certain servers/apps/times. Even search the logs!

Generous amount of data retention per dollar, and unlimited number of hosts. Minimum charge is $10/mo.

Mezmo does not offer any services other than logging. Other cloud logging solutions offer all kinds of performance monitoring. But for me this is actually a benefit. It makes the app very simple and easy to use and SDK very simple to set up. The more complex tools are often too cumbersome and awkward because they do too much. Do one thing and do it well.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

* It's not possible to submit regular "log" level. You have to choose instead from "debug", "trace", "info", "warn", or "error". When attempting to log {level: "log"} in NodeJS, I get an error. The SDK simply does not allow it. So, it's annoying when logging regular "console.log" level, I have to submit it as {level: "trace"} instead. It's not a big deal for me, because I don't use trace.

* Would be nice if debug/trace/info were different colors in the app. Currently they're all grey.

* I don't know if they fixed this or not, but as of January 2021, there was a limitation... If you make a log less often than once per minute, then their logging service seems to go to sleep. Then if you haven't submitted a log in a while, it just would drop the first log, not report it at all. This was frustrating. I fixed it with a "setInterval" on my server - submitting a "debug" log once every minute. This way, even if I send occasional rare log events from different servers, all the logs now show up without getting lost. It's easy enough. However, in order to not pollute the app dashboard, I had to set aside "debug" level for this purpose, and never use it in my actual app. Then filter it out from the app.

So now, I'm able to use (and see in the dashboard) "info", "warn", "error", and instead of "log" I have to use "trace". These are the only levels available that actually work.

Fortunately, for me that's enough. And, the UI is very good, and the price is very good for how well everything works. But if the service was less user friendly, or price higher, my rating would be lower. So overall great job!

* Documentation is not well worded, not easy to browse. Documentation mentions a "fatal" log level, but that doesn't actually work.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging from multiple cloud servers

  ### 8. Loving the product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumit K. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The search experience. TBH, I haven't seen this kind of UI before for search across logs. Whoever came up with this is a genius. I love the right hand pane that shows me various colored lines and how easy it is to jump between the logs using those colored lines. I also love how I can click on a line in the log and then click on `view in context` to view the surrounding logs.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

(1) I am not able to understand what `Time Scale` feature on the right hand top corner does. TBH, I haven't tried looking for it in documentation or web, but it would be nice if I could know without looking for it on the documentation.
(2) I feel like the `Levels` tab on the top that is supposed to help me filter logs of various severity does not always work as expected. I don't feel confident using it, hence I have stopped using this feature and always look a the entire log.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We rely on Mezmo for all our production and staging enviroment logs. Since it is not possible to provide access to actual deployed instance to all the employees, the company relies on mezmo to provide a platform which all employees can access to check out the status or health of the production / staging systems as well as debug them.

  ### 9. 5 minutes integration, and you have a full fledged logging system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan B. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Documentation is very thorough and integrating from Cloudflare workers took literally minutes.

The support team is amiable and responds quickly and professionally.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Finding your way around the web application is a little tricky. The central panel with the logs and search is excellent. However, the left navigation is made entirely from icons, and you must hover over all of them to find what you need.

Also, switching between plans did not count for the partial payment that I already did. However, their excellent and friendly support has quickly fixed that.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I run multiple Cloudflare workers and several other services.
I needed a place to store logs and be able to add some metadata that would help me track a single request going through multiple services.
I connected Mezmo to all of my services as the standard-output, and added metadata about each request, including a requestId that helps me with cross-service tracking.
Now when I have a problem, I easily find all logs related to that request going through all services, even cross providers (Google and Cloudflare)

  ### 10. Data pipeline using Mezmo

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NIKHIL G. | GCP Data Engineer at TCS, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

This is one of most useful product for data engineers. It does make life easier for data engineers by providing one of the best platform for creating the data pipelines in no time.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I don't have anything to dislike at the moment.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving one of the major issue of knowing why the data pipelines are gonna become faulty. It does also provides the logs which can be used to debug the errors.

  ### 11. Easy to get started and no pain points

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lokeshwar S. | Site Reliability Engineer, Consumer Goods, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Filtering query logic is lifesaver when parsing through massive amount of logs.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Graphs look pretty but should have more interaction with logs filter.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tuning server performance and even reviewing the logs to predict trends.

  ### 12. The Mezmo platform is a fantastic product. Highly recommend.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James M. | Senior Application Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

It was super simple to integrate into our process. We were eliminating massive code refactoring for implementation. Seamless to plug right in. The application UI is straightforward and maybe the best part was the ease of configuring needed alerts. We now have a significantly better insight into what our end users may be seeing in terms of problems. Everything about it is superb.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I really cannot think of anything that I dislike. Not really a dislike, but the new billing is a bit hard to sort out.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

If you are looking for a fantastic logging solution, this is it. The trial is excellent. You will be up running in no time, saving valuable time from previous logging systems to use for more productive work.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to read through and search for specific errors in massive text files. Getting timely alerts for critical errors enables our small development team to get right to the root cause and hotfix as necessary. Having data that is already parsed out the way we need it.

  ### 13. Easy to find erros in logs!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The entire platform is very unique and user friendly. The simplicity is the key here. It was a great experience to use the searchable log solution for daily tasks.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The way to find entire logs in the context is a little bit tricky. I usually had a request ID to search in the logs and it made me do it multiple times instead of one single click.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogDNA does the best task it has been given and gives a streamline experience. It also easily archives to a S3 bucket and does great with slack and other integrations.

  ### 14. A-Z for Memzo

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Mezmo supports integration APIs for many services like AWS and Kafka, which is very helpful when a client has a data warehouse in any service, making it easy to pull data and start with the pipelines.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

When I first explored Mezmo by going to their website, it was not well designed and it was a little difficult to access the documentation and video tutorials for all the examples.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extract data from Amazon S3, transform it, and build a pipeline for your dashboard.

  ### 15. Enormous time savings in Diagnostic Efforts as well as Monitoring with Alerts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bernard L. | Systems Architect & Head of SAP Build (bespoke apps), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The centralisation of key technical information and events into a singular repository across diverse systems produces a powerful repository to quickly assist in diagnosing problems in real-time. Couple this with an active alerting capability and you have an automated technical support partner serving you 24/7

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I have no dislikes - simply delivers what we understand it needs to.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

It will deliver you with an enterprise wide event repo with great analytical capability, significantly enhancing your operational support capabilities (among other things)

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sounds like I am going to repeat myself here! I like the fact that in 1 location i can see a diverse set of events given we have elected to use this as a primary event sink for a bunch of different event categories. Benefits realised include extremely quick diagnostic capabilities given this is integral to our application architectures.

  ### 16. Sort out data problems with MEZMO

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Unstructured and repetitive data can be easily monitored and removed using this tool. Can bring the data from different sources, process it and transform the data for visualization

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The website could have been better, it looks complex for using it the first time, Changes in the design can make it look better.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data observability is good, it helps to monitor the data and optimizes the data which will save time and helps to get better data.

  ### 17. Exactly what we needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley O. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Integration was quick and easy - there were many pre-built options be we had a fully working custom integration with our existing logging system working within a couple of hours, just following the API documentation.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I've found it a little bit complicated to extract custom fields from structured (JSON) logs, but got there in the end.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We just wanted a simple way to be able to collect all our logs in one place, whether from servers, desktop clients, website, etc. I've tried some other products with more features, but in the end we just didn't need them, and Mezmo was better at the one feature we needed most - reliable and fast live log streaming, with powerful search and filtering functionality.

  ### 18. Great product to view and manage alll your logs in one place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guillermo H. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I love the search feature, I always find what I'm looking for. I like to be able to go to that point in time in the logs, getting the context before and after the line. It's great to be able to create a special "view" and view logs in real-time from a specific log file or server.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

It's not that I don't like it, but sometimes I need to recover an old log file that's beyond the retention window. The good thing is that you can set up log archiving, I can always go and search in the backed up logs in S3

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mezmo lets me have all my log sources in one place, it let me access them from anywhere without the need to log in inside a server. This makes checking something quick a super accesible task, maybe its a user complainging that something failed, or want to supervise something thats going on.

  ### 19. Works wonderfully and completely gets out of our way

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deniz P. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

- Alerts to slack
- Conditions on alerts
- Saving views and filters
- Ability to live-tail
- Searching through logs and quickly getting the results.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

- More language integrations would be better to ingest logs in an easier way.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For practically all of the IT companies out there, logging is not a core function, yet it is an absolute necessity. This is where LogDNA comes in. It works wonderfully and completely gets out of our way.

We push logs into it from our .NET servers via a Serilog LogDNA sink. The ability to filter logs with ease and to later create views out of those filters is amazing. We are always utilizing the live tailing feature during new version deployments. We also have many alerts set up for the views, which send alerts to Slack. The way alerts can be configured is very intuitive and combining filters and alerting conditions allows for very precise and meaningful alerts to be sent to us.

At the current pricing level, it would be wrong not to use LogDNA.

  ### 20. Overall feedback on the use of mezmo pipeline

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

We can do more of Analytics on the data with ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The overall memory and resources consumption is little high as compared to the processing of the pipelines.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If it comes to the overall analysis of the data, it is very useful in getting the useful insights form the data, which can be used for better decision making in the organization

  ### 21. Taking the stress out of reviewing logs and finding info

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russell B. | Full Stack Javascript Developer/Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Easy and intuitive to use. Setting up with my AWS servers and environments was quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

So far nothing, although I still can't remember the new name.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With multiple environments and lambas and other log sources, using AWS for viewing logs was just clunky and finding specific errors and issues with the supporting data to troubleshoot was always a pain. Now I'm easily able to setup multiple log streams for different tasks and environments and I'm able to easily find the data I need.

  ### 22. LogDNA is essential to our business. It just works and has been very reliable.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Nothing can replace a purpose-built tool meant to ingest and aggregate log data. There are other options out there, some of which are built directly in to the cloud provider my business uses. None stand a chance in being as easy to use as LogDNA.

We love how easy LogDNA makes it to see all our log data in one place. Its a snap to focus on a single server or app, or search for a specific log entry,

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The ability to dynamically group hosts could be improved.

We utilize blue/green deployments so our hosts are constantly being rotated out. We also have LogDNA running on our staging hosts. Its challenging to show an always up-to-date view of all our production hosts without manually adding new hosts to the view after a deployment. If we just "select all" hosts, we'll end up with a view that has both production and staging in it.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving the problem of showing an aggregate view of all our log data in a way thats easy to understand, easy to search, easy to export, etc. LogDNA is just so much more user friendly than any other similar service we've used.

  ### 23. Fantastic logging experience for development and debugging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua C. | Principal Member Of Technical Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Mezmo's searching and filtering abilities make it very easy to debug production systems. Link sharing helps teams collaborate and integration is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

There isn't much to complain about, it works very well. Sometimes log ingestion can lag, but that is rare. Log messages are listed at the time of ingestion, not the time they are created at, which is sometimes an issue.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mezmo centralizes all our logs across our entire computer fleet and makes debugging and collaboration very easy.

  ### 24. Perfect tool to monitor our ERP system.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce W. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA is easy to use. It can be configured to display appropriate information for developers, IT support staff, and managers. We often release new code multiple times a day and having immediate access to any issues that arise is critical. LogDNA has made use more responsive and productive.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

We have no complaints. Learning the full capacity takes time - in fact, years later we are still finding new was to use its features.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most often we use it to find unintended consequences to database or code changes. I imagine that like most organizations we face the problem of legacy technology getting in the way of desired improvements. LogDNA allows us to release major improvements and then discover the edge cases where that has caused problems.

  ### 25. just works, fast and reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ciprian M. | Chief Idea Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I get realtime access to logs from various remote boxes

search is also a life saver, together with (logs) streaming

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

err, they just bumped up the minimum price tier to $10 :-|

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

collecting system logs and providing an UI for searching, troubleshooting

  ### 26. A greate service for small business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trej G. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

In Gemunion we help startaps to set up their business from a technical perspective. We use monopero architecture to setup different microservices and it is really easy for us to filter logs by microservice and instance as well as set up notifications about errors to telegram and slack

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I would like to be logged from more than one account at a time. Hate to switch between multiple company's accounts

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Not all things should be done by yourself. If the service is good and has a reasonable price you should use it instead of reinventing the wheel

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use logdna as part of our error pipeline. We used papertrail before it was terrible from all sides starting from price. we also tried a local graphana setup but it takes much longer than just connecting to logdna.

  ### 27. After many tests, it is the tool that best suits our needs for managing our logs and alerts.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan José S. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The facility to view the logs by application and machine, and the facility to configure alerts.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I think they can still improve on the graphics and statistics part compared to what other tools offer.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to Mezmo we can identify problems in our software even before it becomes an issue for our customers.

  ### 28. perfect tool for logs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Mezmo has been the perfect tool so far in managing our logs, it has everything we need:
* perfect integration with kubernetes as well as VMs
* good, simple interface easy to use, especially useful when you need it most during critical moments
* live logs
* intuitive syntax to search and filter
* very fast search
* easy to drill down and isolate sources
* hugely useful histograms, easy to create and share dashboards
* alerts
* it is possible to define rules to exclude storing logs with specific patterns to save on costs

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The exporting feature could be more smooth, showing the link to download logs in the UI and not only via email.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

log management can be an headache, especially with self hosted solutions, mezmo solve that and is also super easy and with loads of features.

  ### 29. Simple and powerful tool to configure and check logs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shashidhar V. | Sr QA Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Almost everything, easy to set up/configure logs and absolutely easy even for beginners to understand and start verifying and traversing thru the logs, no clutter, great filtering options

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Might be trying to search based on part of the logs, for example, a particular string which might be part of detailed logs, and not evidently visible, not a big pain point, but good to have feature, or might be it's there and I haven't been able to use it in the way I wanted it to show up, not sure if we can search by building a query with AND / OR operators

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

If looking for an easy to use effective tool for checking or analyzing logs , LogDNA is the one

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly checking the logs related to the applications that I work on, to check the cause of issue or failure, LogDNA comes in very handy to run thru the logs, saves a lot of time while trying to figure out, as what went wrong and where.

  ### 30. Awesome logs, great details!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel N. | Implementation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I love that you have the ability to enter a lot of filters at the moment that you are searching, based on the different and multiple fields that you might be having/using then you can get great combinations to narrow down and get really specific in your searches! Real-time monitoring/debugging/tracking!!! It's a really awesome thing!

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Maybe the fact that, at least in my account (or plan, I don't know), there is a limit on how far you can get to search things in the past, I would like to get that improved to give a higher range of search. Something that I don't dislike but maybe there is some room of improvement, would be to get a little bit faster the real-time refresh rate.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Go for it, give it a try and you won't regret at the moment that you start using it and discover it's full potential, also know that the LogDNA team is really engaging and will be there for you to help you.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the need to have a tool that can register the logs and each point of the different activities our platform realizes, tracking the details in various fields from different perspectives and types. Some of the main benefits are the live monitoring option that you have, so you can track/debug and do a lot of things taking a base on this, in real-time, without having to wait a lot of time from when the logs get uploaded and you get access, as in some other platforms.

  ### 31. Superior log aggregation & search system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2020

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

- Excellent web UI, far superior to AWS CloudWatch
- Low-latency log tailing
- Easy and powerful search features
- Reasonable pricing

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

- Limited graphing / alerting functionality (it's not a full replacement for CloudWatch metrics or alerts)
- Occasional periods of higher latency and (rare) ingestion issues

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Give it a try on the free plan. Note that log retention is disabled on the free tier, so search won't function as well as in the paid product.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our app makes heavy use of AWS Lambda and auto-scaled EC2 instances. Aggregating and searching logs using the built-in CloudWatch tools are extremely frustrating.

LogDNA gathers all our logs into a super simple and effective web UI. Latency is minimal and tailing/searching all logs is far easier than CloudWatch. LogDNA's pricing is very reasonable in comparison with other log aggregation services. The log transmission agent is low overhead, and the HTTP API is very easy to use.

  ### 32. Simple, powerful tool for log-centric workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reilly S. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

As a busy founder and software engineer, I don't have time to dig through complex UIs, read pages of docs and learn yet another stack. LogDNA does logging really well. They ingest from all the sources we need, provide an intuitive UI, alert on anomalous events. Enough said.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I would love to see even more emphasis on developer experience / UX. As mentioned above, this is already their strongest asset (especially compared with other tools) but I think there is still more opportunity here.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

The simplicity and pricing model of LogDNA makes it a no-brainer to trial. Install their agent on one of your services and give it a try. The benefits of LogDNA will be clear right away.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging across microservices, application monitoring, debugging, customer support, operational health, ad-hoc product analytics. We have also grown into dedicated tooling for some of these tasks, but it starts with logging.

  ### 33. Reasonable pricing and easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick M. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA is incredibly easy to use and set up. Great features like Real-time alerts and Usage Quotas are available in all paid plans. Pricing is reasonable and pay-as-you-go means it's perfect for hobbyists and small businesses. You can set up Usage Quotas to ensure no surprise bills.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

We had a couple of months of unexcepted high bills after a server improperly handled a recurring error but since they added Usage Quotas, it's no longer an issue and I have better trust in the service.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LogDNA allows quick and easy access to log history. Searching is fast. Real-time alerts allow you to react to production issues quickly. Being a cloud service means there's less configuration and maintenance so the team can focus on our product.

  ### 34. Helpful logging tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Really easy setup, good searching functionality

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Lack of flexibility in log parsing/interpretation means some features might not be helpful

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helpful for getting an overview of all logs

  ### 35. Couldn't Use Heroku Without It

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan J. | Senior Software Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA helps me maintain oversight of my Heroku apps, troubleshoot errors, and notify me through instant Slack messages when something is amiss. I couldn't do my job without it.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Sometimes a log's UI feels overwhelming since it's a constant stream of messages. When troubleshooting, it would be nice to be able to "clear the deck," so to speak, of the current messages so I can focus on whatever it is I'm trying to sort out... not delete the logs, but just clear the UI.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Just use it. You'll be glad you have it.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm constantly monitoring and troubleshooting my production Heroku apps for aberrant data/inputs/etc. Having a persistent Heroku log lets me do this asynchronously.

  ### 36. Easy and affordable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pat B. | Principal Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA offers very affordable lower-tier plans, which is critical for a small project like mine. The availability of a Heroku Add-on and CloudWatch integration made it easy to get all my logs in one place.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The CloudWatch integration is a Lambda you must deploy yourself. The source for it had some issues that I had to work out myself, but LogDNA's Support team was responsive.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use LogDNA to bring logs from different services on different cloud providers (Heroku, AWS) into one place for search and analytics. The Charts feature is great for getting base-level app metrics without having to build anything besides logging.

  ### 37. Easy to use Logging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

LogDNA was easy to setup and provided immediate value. We can identify issues across our microservice architecture in a hurry when we need to. The filters are fast and helpful. It is cheaper than alot of other options that we looked at.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Occasionally LogDNA is slow to return results, but I think they must have been working on this issue because it is a lot less frequent now than when we first started using the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Give it a try. It is a lot easier than AWS logs!

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use LogDNA as a single place to find all of our logs for our microservices, it becomes the first point of call for developers when there is an issue. And it's good for investigation of potential problems.

  ### 38. Flawless Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

* Its reliability. I love that I can always rely on logDNA to check out critical logs without ever worrying whether the service is up or if it is displaying me the correct or the latest info. I use logDNA to debug critical bugs on production or staging environments and also to keep track on deployment issues.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The string search feels like a bit un-reliable at times. I feel like either its not searching enough of the data or its not doing a good enough match. Sometimes I wonder if it does any kind of fuzzy match - if not should it do fuzzy matching ? Also, the 'Apply' button in selection modals feels like a little bit redundant. I feel like a better usage would be that whatever options are selected should take effect and there should be no need of a separate 'Apply' button.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

Go for it. Easy to use. Extremely reliable.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use LogDNA to debug critical bugs on production or staging environments and also to keep track of deployment issues. It allows us to improve our product and also ensure better availability for our cloud-hosted solution.

  ### 39. Controllable Logging and Notifications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan J. | Senior Software Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Slack integration for log levels has been extremely helpful to our team to provide timely response to application errors.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

The built in search function filters the log panel rather than a more typical search/find that would highlight the hits.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Log level notifications.

  ### 40. I've used log DNA for logging my web applications, and I don't plan to change that.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohaan A. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Log DNA is free. It provides astound highlighting and displays all the necessary information, not some but everything. As a free extension, I highly appreciate the different levels of pricing ranges.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I don't dislike anything about Log DNA as it provides all it promises, it displays logs and traffic in live time with no lag to be present. As a hobbyist, i've got nothing but positives to say about log dna.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

If you want an up and ready logging application to display absolutely all imperative elements of the traffic of your application, whether it be for debugging, analysis or pure curiosity, log DNA strongly facilitates all those requirements for absolutely free. And if you require further utilities, log DNA has a diverse set of tools assigned to provide a complex view of your traffic.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are many unseen messages being produced by servers which arent returned into the terminal, LogDNA easily allows for seeing http return messages, information regarding final destination and seeing if the information is posted or if the request has even been made or not. Log dna displays it all.

  ### 41. Easy but powerful logging for our Kubernetes clusters

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefaan N. | DevOps Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Adding LogDNA to Kubernetes is extremely easy. The LogDNA agent is installed with a single command. In a matter of seconds it is collecting container logs as well as system logs.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Each container results in a source of logs. Kubernetes clusters with many containers result in LogDNA having a lot of sources. The UI to select a specific source is not user-friendly when having too many sources.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

The administration and installation are effortless

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developers don't need access to the Kubernetes cluster. All logs are sent to LogDNA, which has an online user interface. There is only a slight delay so developers can see log entries almost in real-time.

  ### 42. Insanely easy to use and i love having access to all my logs in the same place.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santiago F. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Never have an issue. Logs are shown instantly, and it is very nice to have all mi apps logs in the same place.
The views feature is a game-changer, it is like having folders for your apps.
I

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I don't dislike anything. I wish they had an integration with the Kubernetes Nginx ingress controller made by Kubernetes. also, it would be nice to have an iPhone app, just to check problems on the go

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have multiple Shopify apps and also have several clients.
I plug all my Django projects with the log DNA package and use the logs on Log DNA and Sentry for debugging production problems.
Also, use it to check everything is running ok through the day

  ### 43. Logging efficiency and organization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Goran S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like the ability to search quickly through the data logged. It have excellent filtering options, so the data can be segmented and partitioned between different sources. It has superb options to filter the data that is being feed to the system from different sources and app/compoentns of the user. With connecting multiple sources of input data/logs, there is a need to easily filter and separate that data depening on firtly Envirorment, and then to further down filter ans seperate the data by app and component that feeds it into the system.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

In cases when we had a situation with more significant data spikes, it's a bit harder to pinpoint and narrow down the search through the "noise," for example, to see when a lousy error spills over into other areas of the platform. They get drowned in the potential spike of data, and sometimes there is a slow down in these scenarios (maybe expected given the nature of data influx in that case).

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

It's a great tool that can easily tackle your logging needs. Whether you are doing this to monitor your infrastructure or get an easy means to centralize your app data logs, LogDNA will be easy to implement and satisfy those needs.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit of having it as a central place is to have all of our platform logs, this helps to troubleshoot the platform when problems occur, but it also helps spot various patterns of general usage.

  ### 44. One of the best logging products we've ever user!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo S. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

I like that you can segment different types of errors by views. This makes things a lot easier to keep track of specific errors, as well as keep error logs from various projects separate. Their filtering can be beneficial as well. We get thousands of records every day in some of our views, so being able to filter not only by date but also by a specific day, makes everything a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I wish Logdna's alert system were a bit more complex and a bit better. There are specific scenarios where it would be helpful to get a text notification or email without having to create a new view for a particular error. We have a lot of different projects with different views, so not having to create multiples on top of our current ones to get specific notifications would be amazing!

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

I would recommend users take some time to get familiar with all of the features available through this platform. There are a lot of different useful features that may be beneficial to a variety of users, so it's important to take your time and become familiar wiht this product, so that you can use it to it's full extent.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We keep track of all of our error logs using log DNA, so it makes it a lot easier to find bugs that we may have not otherwise found in our production environment

  ### 45. Very powerful tools and ease of setup/use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guillermo H. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Installing the agent and setting up logging sources on the servers is pretty straightforward. Searching and filtering the logs is very easy and powerful. LogDNA offers excellent tools like live alerts (based on some criteria), creating views, etc.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I'm pretty satisfied with the tool. Sometimes it's hard to identify the log source (from which server the logs came from), but that can be easily fixed by adding some tags to the log sources.

**Recommendations to others considering Mezmo:**

They have excellent client support too! I had a minor issue with one of the agents (my app created a super big logline and was making some problems). They were super helpful, and we were able to pin down the problem :)

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing different logs in one place, being able to search large volumes of info quickly, and being able to react to some events in real time thanks to the alerts feature

  ### 46. Easy to set up and a joy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler M. | VP of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The setup process was effortless. We evaluated several other logging solutions, and LogDNA's setup & configuration was much quicker than the others. Our chosen solution had to support rsyslog, which LogDNA does perfectly.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

So far, so good. The only real issues I've run into are that the parsing library doesn't work perfectly. A few of the parsing templates that we have created end up with results that don't quite sync up with what we were expecting. We are working with support to resolve this.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to be able to aggregate logs from various systems and be able to quickly and efficiently search through them. We also needed to create charts from data extracted from those log statements. LogDNA has solved those cases for us beautifully.

  ### 47. No more hunting for the log files

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason L. | VP Software Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

Two things:
- Being able to find and filter fast.
- Charting and trending data. You can identify an issue that is trending quickly. If you start throwing a lot of specific errors and they are trending, you can visually see you have a problem.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

We've had some issues when we redeploy our kubernete containers. But, the team is working on solving that.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few things.
- Monitoring for issues
- Identifying what endpoints are being used most, which helps us identify features in our apps that are possibly underutlized

  ### 48. Nice tool to help you debug microservices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandr U. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

- Easy to integrate with NodeJS and Python apps
- Price
- Ability to save error traces and additional data
- Easy to navigate in time and filter by services

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

- I would like to be able to store bigger objects in logs. Sometimes I've seen errors that the object is too big

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to debug our microservices architecture and find issues easier

  ### 49. Allround logging solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andre S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The possibility to receive messages in slack when an error/warning is appears in some log.

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

I would love when mezmo would also support monitoring kubernetes solutions using the agent.

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All logs at one point, easy to filter, slack integration

  ### 50. Very good logging system with amazing log querying functionality

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Mezmo?**

The querying system, notifications and charting of the logs is great

**What do you dislike about Mezmo?**

Querying can be difficult and improved docs would be highly beneficial

**What problems is Mezmo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We stay on top of the health of our APIs and apps using Mezmo. We are always one step ahead and when issues arise, we can debug really easily with Mezmo
