Lobster Data has established itself as a central platform for us to efficiently and structurally manage data flows. I am particularly impressed by the user-friendly interface, which allows even complex processes to be clearly represented and easily configured – all without deep programming knowledge.

What I particularly appreciate about Lobster is the clear separation between technical details and business requirements. The platform allows interfaces and data formats to be designed flexibly and integrated seamlessly into existing systems. Despite the many advantages, I sometimes find it challenging to find the optimal way to implement an interface. Lobster offers many possibilities and high flexibility, but this can be overwhelming, especially at the beginning. If there's one thing I miss the most, it's the ability to fully customize the web interface.

From the perspective of an IT professional in the EDI environment, what I like most about the Lobster_data Platform is:

- The true no-code logic: Complex data flows can be visually modeled—with loops, conditions, transformations—without having to drift into Java, XSLT, or Python. This saves an enormous amount of time.

- The stability in production: Once set up, EDI processes run smoothly—hardly any maintenance needed, no surprises.

- The transparent monitoring: Errors are clearly displayed, with details on the source and processing—much better than typical logfile searching.

- Flexibility with formats and channels: Whether EDIFACT, CSV, XML, JSON, or proprietary formats—everything can be processed, sent, or received, whether via SFTP, HTTP, mail, or API.

For beginners without technical background knowledge, it can be somewhat overwhelming at first despite the no-code approach – especially with topics like data mapping, loops, or asynchronous interfaces.

Lobster _data is indispensable for us as a central data hub. The software goes far beyond classic EDI and handles a multitude of interface activities for us – reliably, efficiently, and transparently.

What particularly convinces us: Every single data record is fully traceable. The transparency that Lobster _data offers is unique in this form and creates trust in our data processes. Lobster has been a great tool for us in being able to connect and integrate a wide variety of different platforms. It has opened the door for in-house EDI, true B2B, various web and ERP integrations, and has helped us eliminate some manual repetitive task. I am a US based user, and because of that support can be difficult with it being EU based. It can take an extended amount of time to resolve issues purely because of the time difference. However, their support staff is excellent. Secondly, while the platform is codeless, it does require a significant level of base knowledge of systems and communication protocols along with learning the intricacies of Lobster itself - it would not be highly accessible for non-tech people. We use the solution to electronically network with customers and business partners, for example via EDIFACT. Previously, we relied on external service providers for this, with each new connection representing a medium-sized project. Change requests were particularly cost and time-intensive.

In the meantime, we have become flexible in this regard thanks to Lobster_Data and can continuously expand our connections on our own. The intuitive low-code operation of Lobster_Data significantly supports us in this. If we ever get stuck, the Lobster support has always been able to help us competently so far. Lobster_data helps us setting up mappings between various partners, clients and other 3rd parties. The ease of use is amazing and once you get to work with the endless functions, you're mapping setup can handle basically every request. I have few dislikes about Lobster Data, but running version upgrades seems a bit cumbersome. Luckily this is been done by a Lobster engineer and without any issues so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One can do a lot by oneself and does not necessarily need a consultant. There are many protocols that can be used: AS2, SFTP, Web-Service, etc... Largely self-explanatory. But definitely book an introduction for the beginning! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As with many other software, Lobster _data is also moving to the cloud. We do not yet know if we can/want to follow this path, and we hope that Lobster _data can continue to be installed on-premise and will continue to receive updates and new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very logical structure. Implementation of requirements is possible very quickly. The support is very competent and responds quickly. The possibilities are diverse and are constantly being expanded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In some points, when I have very specific ideas, I have to make compromises. For example, it would occasionally be nice to be able to offer different languages for different users, or to be able to equip clicks on a subset in dashboards with a new tuple search. Easy Transfer of Files from Format to format, great support when asking questions and asking for help.

We use this on daily basis - transferring numerous of files e.g Orders, ASN, ACK's , Inventory etc. The profiles were easy to implement and easy to integrate between partners.
