  ### 1. Account Management Is a Nightmare—Hard to Reach, Slow Responses, Get Discounts in Writing

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

Overall the product works pretty good for retail and service. Its quick and efficient. The out of the box reporting does the job but lacks a bit when it comes to deep diving. I havent found the ability to extract detailed csv files of my sales, line items and customers so I can alter the data in excel to pivot how I would like. From the few times we reached out to technical support, it seems good. The 1 point on the recommendation is due to the account management, I would almost not recommend this, its that bad.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Account Management experience is horrible. Maybe this is because Im a small account, but honestly even for a small account it shouldn't be almost impossible to get a hold of my account manager. You can call and call and call, leave voicemails, email and never get a reply. If you're creative and persistant, eventually you will get them. In one case, I couldnt reach anyone so I called the billing/ collections team to have them open a urgent communication to my account manager. After a few days, I got a call. This time around, I had to reach out to Sales, to have them route me to a fill in  account manager to re-instate my account. Also to note, make sure if you're promised any discounts, you get them in writing. When I had the issue with my first account manager, it was because of the massive price increase Lightspeed had around 1 year ago. After tons of stress and finally getting in touch with her via billing/ collections, I was promised a $30 monthly discount, guess what I never got it. 

Also with the Lightspeed lending, I took one loan from them, everything worked out well. Then the second time around, the rep got in a sense upset when I told him I couldnt justify the rate to lending, that the interest was too high. His tone changed and response was,"I don't see what the issue is", like he was trying to pressure me into taking the loan. I found it extremely unprofessional, so I never used the service again.

All in all, product is not bad, it gets the job done, but if you have any issues with your account, this is another story. Its enough of a nuisance for me to sit here and give Lightspeed a low score. This is a honest review, so if you're a business that needs to connect with your account manager after setup, you may want to take my review into consideration.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

I really like the efficiency of the checkout systems and point of sale (POS) in Lightspeed Retail. The help section has been great for when I need help with specific reports. I find inventory tracking to be extremely easy, and having the ability to alter products and the POS screen in-house without needing a third party is a huge plus. It's especially important in my food management space where I can update products and pricing myself; this is vital for being cost-efficient. The setup was extremely easy with step-by-step help from a rep through multiple virtual calls. Lightspeed's Help Chat has been invaluable in solving issues smoothly and teaching me how to use the new system, especially after switching from Shopkeep.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Sometimes knowing how to pull a very specific report can be confusing.

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lightspeed Retail solves slow checkouts, inventory chaos, and data compilation for me. It makes managing multiple locations and building a customer base easier. I like that I can update products and pricing on my own, vital for being cost-efficient and profitable.

The return of items or modifying an order is very tricky and at times frustrating. Fortunately, there is good support with Lightspeed.

We do retail, sales, and service all on one system rather than having multiple different systems for our business and each department.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

When I actually got one on one support through scheduled meetings the customer service was way better. However, they still weren't able to solve most of the challenges that we had with the system.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Their online support is terrible. No matter what the issue is, it takes  hours of waiting. I have to sit by the computer because the chat will end if you wait too long to respond. It'S nOt LikE I nEEd To bE rUNnInG a BuSIneSs oR aNYThiNg. From something as simple as retrieving a tracking number, to getting an answer about malfunctioning hardware they supplied, it doesnt matter. They will just respond "Apologies for the response, I am still checking with management team regarding this. Thank you for your patience."  

If you have a choice, DO NOT CHOOSE LIGHTSPEED POS, unless of course you got more time then money.

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have not solved any of my problems. They tell me how their software won't do the things I need it to do so I have to find my own work around. For example, a days sales report can not be filtered by the payment type. Seems pretty straightforward but no, you have to download the report to excel and filter yourself. We wanted to add a round up feature to benefit the non-profit we are affiliated with which is a common feature and should be easy to implement. They suggested we use the rounding feature that has to do with international currency and is not helpful at all. Right now I am waiting for a response on their faulty hardware and have been for a week. I only get the same responses that they are escalating the request.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

Great inventory management features such as min/max and seasonal inventory control. Lots of advanced features for retail operations such as custom menus available on the sales screen as well as custom menus available for service department operation. Easily combines sales + service for my retail bike sohp into one POS and keeps it tidy.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Would love to have inventory editing for multiple locations available in one place instead of having to toggle between stores to control inventory. Would also like to not have to use Lightspeed payments to access the POS. While technically it is possible the upcharge for using an outside payment processor is too large to make it worth saving a fraction of a percent.

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lightspeed Retail makes it easy to access inventory at both locations and see in real time what is on hand. IT also allows easy to keep track of service tickets and makes it simple to find out what is going on with a customers order in real time.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

I can use it from anywhere. We have virtual assistance and help us so they can login help us with all different types of Task and reports.
The Reports are pretty decent but they've made upgrade recently to more rebost reports but they want an extra $145 a month...wow...LOL

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Oh man in the beginning they are so helpful answering questions right away but after you sign on it gets harder and harder to even talk to your rep. I will name him, but they'll figure out who I'm talking about. You can ask about a new feture and it will take few day or sometime weeks to get back to you. It's unfortuniate that it's been that way. We are moving to a different POS next year after the holidays.

We use Shopify POS, and they have  Lighspeed R it doesn't integrate with Shopify and there's a lot of apps that you have to pay quite a bit more just to use.
They have Lightspeed X they are spending a lot of time upgrading mad and we try move from our 2X but they said that we would lose all our transactions and we would have to start from the very beginning. So frustrating.... When we do run into some issues and we're working with a customer you can't get a hold of tech-support you can do live chats but it's really slow and it's frustrating when you're down or you're having issues and you need help right away and there's customers in front of you I don't think they understand that part that it's important we value our customers would be nice if the value their own customers that are paying monthly fees as you can tell I'm a little unhappy. Not only only me but my virtual assistants that work on this program to help us take a bunch of apps together so we can use it. It's it looks so sophisticated on the outside and Tshirt really using. It feels like you're still stuck in the 90s..

I moved from keystroke and I've used that for over 20 years and I moved to this POS. It's a lot easier that's for sure thing what we had before it's a little slow especially when you bring a customer up and you're waiting for the credit card machine. A lot of customers are sitting there, tapping it several times before it pops up I guess because it uses Wi-Fi. We do a workaround for custom orders. We use the work order form that they have. It's a little clumsy that took us some time to kind of Jerry rig it to work for us but we figured it out.

I have been using lightspeed for 3 years. I use a family member to process credit cards. Lightspped has decided that if you want to continue using there software you have to use there credit card processing or they will charge you triple. This puts me in a bad situtaion with my family member who has been processing my credit cards for 20 years of me doing differnet businesses. He has not ever raised my rates. When I told my light speed rep what the rates were he said send me last three statments they would not be able to beat them and I could stay with my cousin and keep the good pricing from light speed. When I sent the Statements they ended up beating my cousin by 3 dollars a month. As we all no 3 dollars amonth is nothing. I will be leaving light speed, Family is more important. I know in 3 to 6 months lightspeed will start inching up the credit card processing and I will be paying 10x what i'm paying now. Becuase full who you chose as a partner in Pos they all want the credit card procsessing that is where they make there money.

I absoutely love the basic reporting Lightspeed offers. Lightspeed POS is pretty straight forward once you get the hang of it. Allows discounts and customer loyalty accounts to be easily intergrated. Support chat is always top notch.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Several things in Lightspeed seem to be more complicated than they need to be. Enter inventory is an all day task. I feel Lightspeed is very limited on the discounts and promotinal capibilities. Lightspeed is already one of the priceir POSs and I hate that they want to upcharge you so frequently. I can never get ahold of my account rep. I think they have changed a couple times, and I've never had great communication.

All in one POS. Inventory input, prints price tags, scans price tags, accepts payment,s prints recipets. No other applications are needed to run a basic register.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

It's a fast-loading back-end, reliable and flexible POS system for the most part that is good for small to medium-sized retail stores with multiple locations like ours. It has all the features you might need.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

With a place like two locations like ours, I find the reporting features a bit challenging and awkward to use, as well as inputting invoices and making sure everything is organized between two stores. There is also some additional flexibility that I wish it had due to business growth and multiple revenue streams coming into play.

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lightspeed retail is generally good about keeping SKUs organized, and integrating and delineating admin/user roles well, which have all been issues facing a retail location that is spreading to a second location and trying to keep the same level of retail excellence. As a high-volume store, it is also imperative that our system is 100% reliable, both back and front ends, and it is easy to adopt by new and rotating store employees. Lightspeed has generally been intuitive and easy to use for these purposes.

Support is available to help fast and you can actually call them. Hardware seems solid

Lack of features for ecwid. If you can't use their payment processor, you have to use authorize.net which isn't integrated. You get redirected outside of your platform.

They charged me $500 for the first month when I was evaluating but I was told if I cancel in 30 days, I can get a refund. That wasn't the case. Customer support said I could of went on a trial account, but I called in to set this up and Chloe Ruest signed us up.

Could be a universal platform, you can install lightspeed on any device; however the e-commerce is very limiting.

The after sales service is not great. once you have a rep you are locked in to that rep even if there are better suited persons available to support you they cannot assist you have to go to your rep

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

I like the ease of use with the integrations that help me to run my business. All my sales get sent to quickbooks and the integrated payment processing with Lightspeed payments is a valuable tool. No longer do I need to manually enter the price from Lightspeed to my payment processor. Complete the sale in the app and send the payment to Lightspeed payments and it's handled.

The one thing I would like to see is a monthly statement for customer accounts

Lightspeed is a great tool for keeping tabs on your revenue stream. The Home Screen has multiple reports that can be created and used to know what is selling and what is not.

Very user friendly, it's simple enough that we saved time on training new employees who will be working with it. We used to spend way more time on different platforms which costed us time/money & more error were made due to complexity of software which again took time.

Few errors accrued, but considering the time period between them it was acceptable. Could have regular user & admin separate sections for each to submit recommendations how to improve the UI or other functions

Managing product data base, fast & simple update on items (price, size, discription etc), having customer data base & being able to communicate if needed, sending out receipts or full customer report if requested

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

We use Lightspeed POS for PC for customer transactions and inventory control. The customer interface is simple and easy to use; inventory is pretty simple to create items and add stock, individually or via purchase order. The data on customer purchases comes in handy when customers forget what they purchased in the past, or I want to check the size or type of shoe they bought previously. We have two separate registers, as we have two different parts to the store; bike, and triathlon. I can track sales and do reports on the triathlon side separately from the bike side, which is advantageous. We also cash out the two POS terminals separately.
 
There is a lot of flexibility in creating inventory items and categories. It's also easy to reconcile inventory items/amounts to physical counts.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

It would be nice to assign inventory to either side of the store instead of one all-encompassing inventory. (ie bike shop vs tri shop) I do it manually in Excel currently

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Retail:**

There are varying options that you should explore to add additional value to your Lightspeed subscription-Analytics being one example

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We capture email information via Lightspeed and then upload it to MailChimp for our marketing. In the past, we had to create a spreadsheet separately and upload it, which was time-consuming.

Being a Trek bicycle dealer, our inventory is accessible on the Trek website via Lightspeed/Locally, so customers can see our inventory on bikes before they call.

I love how easy to use Lightspeed is. With the e-commerce option, I was able to sync my store inventory to my website- avoiding any inventory disasters. I also love how user-friendly it is for my employees. T

I wish there was an app where I could view online orders, and all my sales by line so I could easily see how we're doing and what we sold while I'm not in the store.

I highly recommend it!

Lightspeed is helping me keep track of the cost of goods sold, shipping out costs, and items that I've sold out of state that are not taxed. All of this also helps when it comes time to pay my sales tax. I can easily look everything up.

Nothing.  They had one friendly employee over the phone, and that's it.

Total phone and email harassment, not respecting time zone (calling me too early in the morning).
Many problems when setting up the account: I had to have someone troubleshooting all the time
Trying to make you pay more than what you need.
Very expensive monthly.

Is is easy to use as a POS, and the cash up is simple.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

We use over 300 Composite products, and the reporting of the components used for these is non-existent. So if you need to know how much raw product has been used in the composite products for the month, there is no way to export to Excel for analysys. The only way to see this is to check each component used in the Catalog history in VEND, which is very time-consuming, to say the least. Think of 300 Composite products, with each having at least three elements; who has the time to analyze all of this manually? You cannot take cash payment on a 30-day account without the daily invoice not posting as paid through to Xero. This issue makes the system open for dishonest cashiers to pocket cash if a workaround is not implemented. We now take the money in and post the payments manually into Zero.

I have been informed by VEND that the issues that I have mentioned above are not in the pipeline to be considered in the near future.

I love the fact that Lightspeed is cloud-based.  This allows us to be portable and also access information from wherever we have an internet connection.

Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get through on the support line.  They are very helpful when you do reach them but it can be a bit of a wait.

There are many videos that are helpful for different functions available on Youtube.  Often you can find what you are looking for so you won't need to call support.

We currently have Lightspeed Retail as well as the Ecom.  This allows us to have up to the minute proper inventory tracking because when someone purchases online or in-store, the inventory is updated.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

This software is extremely user-friendly. With everything from the POS to back office functions I find it to be so useful. One of my favorite features is the inventory management!  The reports you can run are very helpful, the way you can sort items on a PO, the quick edit feature... so many great areas of functionality! Customer service really seems to care and they take suggestions seriously.  It seems they are constantly striving to improve and cater to customer needs.



**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

There's not much I don't like--maybe I just haven't found anything yet worth mentioning.  The scanner sometimes misses items if scanning several things at once but that's probably more of a hardware issue than a software issue.  When scanning books to receive or scanning during inventory you have to be slow and deliberate to make sure everything is captured.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

Adding products is super easy. You can add single products or create matrices that allow you to have various options per sku. The ability to have both the manufacture and custom UPC's is excellent. Another feature we use all the time is the various sales options on specific categories per certain days of the week. Lastly, the purchase order system is priceless.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

My top three complaints which have not impacted my use of this product are as follows. 1: You can only schedule sales one week at a time, or always on. There is no way to set it for every Wednesday of the year as an example. 2: There are issues between the POS, and card processors more often than I would like. It's usually fixed within a couple of hours; but certainly more occasion than previous POS's we have had. 3: You need to use an intermediary plugin for WooCommerce. We use Hyperspace as an example. I wish Lightspeed could integrate via API with both inventory and their points system.

It handles all of our in-store retail sales of over 1.3k SKU's. It also offers an easy solution for gift cards and in-store credit. The user interface is also one of the very best I've seen.

We were able to go from analog to digital in both inventory and POS without a bit of tech experience. Including warehousing and Loyalty. We researched several competitors and Lightspeed was exemplary by comparison.

We wish we could easily adjust what the receipt printer issues at EOD. Bundling (selling a box of normally single items and pulling accurately from stock) could be improved. For us, knowing to add to inventory after also receiving into inventory created a little chaos. So a little more information on what was occurring during transferring would've helped. But really that was a lot of disorganization in starting up.

We're able to calculate loss and make actionable plans for its prevention. We can access Lightspeed at our supplier warehouses and check our inventory as we place orders. It's made us so efficient we've reached better-tiered pricing structures.

1. LS pos doesn't have custom fields for inventory items. 
2. also the account feature could be a lot improved, the ability to view customer statements could be a lot better! the ideal way is to look at a customer statement like a bank statement with a balance column on the right side showing the balance after each transaction
3. i would love lightspeed to implement the option of creating an "invoice" like in QB, also the option of editing a invoice after it is done like in QB. and after Receiving a payment and applying this payment to the invoice. that is a most have for big account that they buy big and make payment.

I find the whole system to be quite intuitive, but I also love that Lightspeed tech support is available to chat and troubleshoot almost any time of day. Many of our common distributors can connect with lightspeed directly, which saves us hours of manual entry when our orders come in. We use the workorder function to bring in service, and we also recently started using the Ikeono add-on to text customers from within Lightspeed directly.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

The new Lightspeed Hub feature can be a bit glitchy. Lots of restarting the program, reloading the webpage, restarting the computer, etc. I would love to see a bit more in terms of complicated discounts (for example, buy one get one, or any purchase over xyz gets a free whatever, stuff like that)

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to easily count inventory with Lightspeed. We're now using their integrated credit card processing, so there is no longer a need to spend time at the end of the day making sure the credit card machine matches lightspeed data. Our service items are neatly organized with custom labels.

The best part of Lightspeed Retail is that it uses a singular, universal inventory repository for *both* Retail POS and eCom sales activity.  Our staff was initially enamored with Squarespace for web design, but every system we reviewed seemed to be good at either the Retail POS *or* eCom, but not both.  Inventory solutions seemed to migrate towards 3rd party integrations.  We viewed these as potential points of failure and expansion of support contacts.  We looked for a single vendor who could perform both, and Lightspeed was the winner.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Lightspeed integration of Retail POS and eCom could be better from the administration/management perspective.  Granted, these components can likely function on their own for customers who want one or the other, but for customers who choose Lighstepeed as we did for its universal Inventory management, the integration of the administration/management could be better and more tightly integrated.

If you're an enterprise whose platform is Both Retail POS *and* web eCom and a consistent, universal inventory repository is a goal, consider using Lightspeed for your solution.

Lightspeed provided universal inventory management so that the website doesn't sell items blindly - once the last item is sold, that item is listed as out of stock.  Whereas you can sell into the negative qty on the Retail POS side, you can configure the eCom side not to allow this.  Integrated inventory management with a single vendor across Retail POS and eCom is key.

Absolutely nothing about this horrendous experience with this company was good. What I'll like best is when they stop stealing $134 from me every month despite multiple cancelation requests made well within my right of rescission.

I dislike how regardless of the situation, the complaints, or the dissatisfaction, they are more concerned with sucking every penny out of my pocket than they are with anything resembling customer satisfaction.  Lightspeed is one of those companies where profit rules over all else. The only time I ever heard responses to my multiple inquiries over a 12 weeks was when they were sending me an invoice for another month of service that I didn't use or want.

Do not purchase this system.

This situation has forced me to reevaluate my personal and business banking, in addition, two prioritizing prompt, helpful customer service well above a 10 or $12 a month saving.  The banking institution I used formally was very little help resolving this situation. In choosing my new banking institution, I made sure to read customer reviews and speak to several supervisors regarding to dispute and reimbursement policies before finalizing on a service provider. Sadly, that was the most valuable thing I received from this business relationship.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING SUBSCRIBING TO VEND ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 200 SKU AND MULTIPLE SHOPS   
We subscribed to vend approximately a year ago when we had 2 shops and not very many sku, the system worked great and although few issues for which customer service was never really helpful we were able to manage and circumvent.   The issues started to build when our shops and sku started to increase, it was at this point we started to use there import and export functionality to mass upload data. Unknown to us at that time we started to see huge inventory issues within shops, from stock figures constantly being wrong to stock transfers always being incorrect. Upon investigation we found bugs when uploading re order level and qty, the system would automatically delete and add stock, we reported this issue to vend 6 months ago, they then came back to us with a solution   “ to manually edit 2000 sku across 20 stores whilst they resolve the issue”  It has now been 6 months vend has still not resolved the issue, there is no way we can manage to edit as per there solution needless to say we have had to build a complete off line solution to manage our inventory which is a core feature for why we purchased vend in the first place.  We are now urgently looking for alternatives as this has impeded our growth caused customers to walk away due to non stock items and will cause us a huge cost in technology change across 20 stores . We are experiencing slow response also while using the system in both front and back end, for example creating a transfer order, and checking upon receiving it in the system. I strongly recommend anyone taking vend to test the system robustly, above is just one of many unresolved issues.

Cloud system that is really easy to set up and use. I love the integrations with Quickbooks, Xero, WooCommerce, and payment processing. The price is reasonable, and it allows you to monitor your whole shop from one place

The price is great but, for businesses that are just starting to adopt this kind of technology and thinking about expanding, it could be a little over the budget, considering there are other options at a lower price that, even though are not as robust, will do the job. Also, for some non technical folks, bulk inventory management could be a challenge.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Retail:**

Make sure you know exactly what you are looking for. Some other free solutions may seem enough but being able to add attributes to each item (size, color, width, etc...)  gives you more flexibility and allow for better traceability. Reporting is great and the connectivity with your online shop makes everything so easy to manage. If you are not tech savvy, make sure you have someone that can help you with all the integrations.

Inventory control and connectivity with my accounting system. Before, I had to manually extract the information from my old POS system, analyze it, and extract the values I needed to then work in my accouting system. Now everything is automated and easy to use.

We are now more efficient, produce productivity data for analytical reasons, incorporated e-commerce and more! Customer service is amazing, accommodating, quick to resolve issues and friendly. We are glad we chose LS 3 years ago!

My experience was tainted by older supervisors who had no idea what they were doing. They did not make the necessary updates to things such as LIghtSpeed Hub and other things, creating problems for everyone.

Lightspeed Retail has made our lives 1,000 times easier when it comes to tracking inventory in our small store. We have been able to sell so much more online thanks to the simple connection between the retail platform and their eCom option.  but it is relatively easy to chat or call with a representative from the company for help. I appreciate the ease of use of entering new products and the ability to search for previous products,

Lightspeed does have occasional down periods, and they are more frequent than we would like. I wish Lightspeed Retail was a little more customizable on our end of how things are setup, but I expect that to come with time.

Like I said previously, we can sell so much more online because we can now track our inventory very quickly with the platform. We can also identify products much easier thanks to the ability to sync an image with every product.

There is A LOT!  The onboarding was awful.  Reporting is vague (no end of day report).Support is awful.  No easy way to do markdowns, and so much more!

I would not recommend Lightspeed to anyone in the boutique retail industry.  It does have some good qualities but nothing that you couldn't get from other POS software.  I regret choosing Lightspeed over Quickbooks Multi-store but with the time invested into the switch, I don't want to have to go through another switch again.  We have been in business for over 17 years and  used Quickbooks during that time.  I wish I had never made the switch.  The overall experience has been awful!

There aren't many benefits we are getting that we couldn't have gotten had we stayed with Quickbooks.  I guess it being cloud based is the most beneficial.

I went from a physical pen/paper inventory to a real-time list that I can check from anywhere! Not having to count everything physically is something I only dreamed could happen one day! I can now make orders remotely, and it has taken a tremendous amount of time-load off of me as a sole business owner! I now have so much time to do other things! The POS system is a flashy new iPad system instead of our old, ancient hardware! It was a seamless transition that has made transactions easier for my customers and employees! Very little training was required, and I'm more than excited about our future!

The downside to Lightspeed is that when an issue or outage occurs, there is no troubleshooting to do. We simply inform out retail locations, and wait for it to be restored.

**Recommendations to others considering Lightspeed Retail:**

Utilize the support, they have both chat and phone options. When using barcode/label printers, use Zebra Browser Print.

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Several benefits, a web based POS system can be used on a windows based PC and CC machine (Verifone MX915), no fancy equipment to purchase. Easy to manage inventory system, and also e-commerce orders are managed in Lightspeed.

As a remote web designer, its great to work with the in-store staff to get them entering products and inventory while keeping an eye on their entries and building out the eCom website.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

There's not much to dislike. Most features we have needed are there. But the in-store folks could better answer that questions since they use retail more than I. However, I train them in products and features and all their requests so far I have been able to work out and get them past easily.

Serialized products are important to us. There could be better documentation in Lightspeed help on this topic. But after realizing how it works, it seems useful.

**What do you like best about Lightspeed Retail?**

Lightspeed has the absolute best support of all POS, eCom, and omnichannel providers. They have truly 24/7 phone support in addition to chat support during regular hours. If any of their support agents don't know the answer to your question they admit that and ask the best way to get in touch with you once they've been able to find the answer (usually maybe an hour later), but usually they can help you out immediately.

**What do you dislike about Lightspeed Retail?**

Some of the features aren't perfect. The best example of this that has actually impacted me is the "Discount Rules" function in eCom. There is no way to make a deal valid to be used multiple times. For example, you have a buy 1, get 1 half off deal that you want to be able to be used for any quantity. There is currently no way for the customer to be able to add 6 of the applicable items to their order and get 3 of them half off.

**What problems is Lightspeed Retail solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lightspeed is incredible at inventory tracking, especially if you also get Lightspeed Analytics. It helps us to clearly see what hasn't been selling, and what we need to order more of. The omnichannel function is also an easy way for us to tie our website and retail locations together so there aren't inventory issues.

Ease of use, ability to manage my retail location from any corner of the world. I absolutely love the customer service and friendliness. Sales reps and account managers do their best to ensure you're happy with the service.

Small minor inconveniences that are needed to cater to liquor/package stores, for example, allowing an option to add automatic bottle deposits on all applicable transactions.
