LemonInk is an ebook watermarking API. It can be instantly integrated into WooCommerce and PrestaShop webstores using our plugins. Or into any other store using our powerfull API. The watermarking itself works by applying a digital watermark to each sold ebook which makes them unique and traceable. This approach helps reduce ebook piracy by both discouraging users from publicly sharing ebooks securely signed with their data and allowing publishers to trace leaked ebooks back to their original purchasers. ## LemonInk Pros & Cons Pros and Cons are compiled from review feedback and grouped into themes to provide an easy-to-understand summary of user reviews. **What users like:** - Users love the **user-friendly interface** of LemonInk, making document signing and management quick and easy. Efficient and User-Friendly Digital Document Management **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Cristian C. | Administrador, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user. **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account **Source: Organic:** Organic review. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate. **Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025 At G2, we prefer fresh reviews and we like to follow up with reviewers. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about LemonInk?** The platform is incredibly user-friendly, with a straightforward interface that allows for quick document signing and management. The integration with cloud storage systems ensures that all documents are easily accessible and securely stored. **What do you dislike about LemonInk?** While the platform is highly efficient, it could benefit from more advanced features like document version control or deeper integrations with more third-party tools. Some users might find the limited customization options for document templates a drawback. **What problems is LemonInk solving and how is that benefiting you?** LemonInk solves the issue of slow and inefficient document signing and management by providing an easy-to-use digital platform for e-signatures and document tracking. It eliminates the need for physical paperwork, reduces manual processes, and ensures faster document turnaround times. The benefit is increased efficiency, as it speeds up the entire process of document signing, approval, and storage. This is particularly valuable in streamlining workflows for remote teams, reducing administrative burden, and ensuring a more secure, paperless environment. ### 2. Great way to prevent piracy! **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** N F. | Content Writer, Writing and Editing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user. **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. Imagine you have worked on something for months and bad people just duplicate it and selling it with lower price. That's so bad. LemonInk is here to reduce it all. **What do you dislike about LemonInk?** I think they should add more features so people can have more options on how they use it. **What problems is LemonInk solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have a few digital books that can be stolen in minutes by random people on the internet. By using LemonInk, at least those bad guys are going to need more time to crack it. Glad to know LemonInk earlier this year. ### 3. Watermarks and Pay on the go option. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Bansee B. | Legal Tech Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Current User:** The reviewer uploaded a screenshot or submitted the review in-app verifying them as current user. **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024 **What do you like best about LemonInk?** I like how user-friendly LemonInk is. I didn't have to explore the software at all. I love how you don't have to buy whole of a subscription pack, it only charges per service basis and it saves a lot of my time in general. It watermarks PDFs and it's great for adding a personal touch to the work of your own. **What do you dislike about LemonInk?** I don't really dislike anything about LemonInk, but if there were more possible integrations it would be nicer. **What problems is LemonInk solving and how is that benefiting you?** I could easily use this tool without any technical knowledge and add watermarks without any extra subscriptions. It helps publishers. ### 4. Method of implementing watermarking for ebooks protection **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Ace r. | Sales Director, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024 **What do you like best about LemonInk?** LemonInk is easy to implement within my existing WooCommerce store with no configuration needed. Now, I can sell ebooks with the watermarks without having to completely redesign my online store to do so. **What do you dislike about LemonInk?** LemonInk has no conversion capabilities for some modern formats such as MOBI, which is still relevant for some devices. This means that I can’t really provide watermark protection across all my ebook sales and that feels like a lost chance. **What problems is LemonInk solving and how is that benefiting you?** LemonInk does not shy away from the problem of ebook piracy at all. Inscribing watermarks in every single copy I sell makes it very difficult for the work to be pirated and if by any chance it is, I can easily get to the source. ### 5. Fresh and crisp — just like an actual lemon. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Posy H. | Director of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Validated Reviewer:** Validated through Google using a business email account **Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Source: G2 invite:** Invitation from G2. This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024 **What do you like best about LemonInk?** LemonInk is fantastic at gatekeeping your files from being published to the public domain without your consent. It makes it easy to apply a secure digital watermark to each file you sell or share. This discourages your customers from reselling and distributing your work. **What do you dislike about LemonInk?** I don't have any major drawbacks. It already integrates with many eCommerce platforms (API, PrestaShop, Shopify, WooCommerce, and Zapier). I think the only drawback would be if you aren't using one of these. **What problems is LemonInk solving and how is that benefiting you?** LemonInk prevents files and documents from being published without consent. ### 6. LemonInk is the perfect solution for publishers **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) This reviewer was offered a nominal gift card as thank you for completing this review. **Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024 **What do you like best about LemonInk?** LemonInk’s focus on user experience stands out to me. By not pushing new features too frequently and instead refining existing ones, they ensure that the tool remains intuitive and comfortable to use. Plus, in the ed tech industry, it is critical to have watermark to stop the distribution to other sites, it helps in that as well. **What do you dislike about LemonInk?** I feel there are two things: While the focus on refining existing features is beneficial, occasional introductions of new features could provide additional functionality and keep the tool competitive. Also, adding integration capabilities with other tools and platforms used by users like me could enhance the tool’s versatility and streamline workflows. **What problems is LemonInk solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can start adding watermarks to my content with little to 0 tech knowledge and ensure that from a rights perspective, that document has been marked by my seal. This added along with comfortable and intuitive features greatly enhances usability and reduces learning curve- I could go live within a week! ### 7. It's very clean and easy to use and you can't get lost in the software. I also enjoy how you only have to pay as you use the software versus paying for a membership which is a break on my pockets. Lastly, the integration of watermarks is so amazing. I love how there are variations and as someone who writes it makes it seamless for me to add my personal touch versus having to fidget on other software plus I'm able to lob this software to my student writers and offer them protection for their work. **What do you dislike about LemonInk?** The interface is very simple, it could use a bit more guidance for approachability but sometimes less is more! **What problems is LemonInk solving and how is that benefiting you?** It offers protection towards my writing so no one is able to claim rights or ownership to my work. ### 8.
