At its core, KxStudent is the back-office system that keeps your operations running. Staff can allocate rooms in bulk, manage arrivals and departures, review financials, handle student requests, and communicate with students, all without switching between systems. Routine tasks such as creating student records and responding to common queries can be automated, freeing up time for your team to focus on the student experience rather than administration. Arrival weekend is one of the most demanding periods in the accommodation calendar. KxStudent, with its integration with other optional tools, supports this period with pre-booked arrival slots, digital check-in, real-time room and occupancy status across all buildings, and parcel tracking notifications for students. Your team spends less time on paperwork and more time on the welcome experience. Payments are handled through an integrated payment platform (KxPayments), which connects billing directly to each student's profile. Automated reminders go out before and after due dates, scheduled payment plans can be set up within the platform, and arrears are visible in real time, eliminating the need for manual reconciliation. The platform accepts card, Open Banking, and mobile wallet payments and is PCI DSS compliant. When students need support or want to raise an issue, KxRequests provides a straightforward way to do so online, 24 hours a day. Requests feed directly into KxStudent for your team to manage, creating a clear record and removing the need for paper forms or email chains. KxStudent also supports summer occupancy, managing short-stay and commercial guest bookings within the same system to keep your accommodation portfolio productive year-round. The platform sits at the centre of a broader ecosystem and integrates with registry systems, financial systems, door access, and a range of other Kinetic products, including Student Web, KxInductions, and KxMobile.
