For example, while working on creating content for a multilingual onboarding process, we were able to generate different voice variations and tones for different audience segments, which could have otherwise meant working with different voice artists. What do you dislike about Kukarella? The limitation I have observed so far with Kukarella is in more complex and real-world scenarios where the tone of the voices is of great importance. For instance, while developing training or instructional content, the voices of the speakers are mostly clear and crisp. However, there have been occasions where the voices, although clear and crisp, have not had the required emotional content to make the content more interesting or appealing, especially in longer audio content where the tone might sound slightly monotonous. In another scenario, while developing content in multiple languages, there have been occasions where the pronunciation of industry-specific terms or names had to be adjusted manually, which is an additional step in the content development process. In addition, there have been occasions where the management of various versions of the audio content or files is not as seamless as it should be, especially in complex content development scenarios. Kukarella solves an important problem in the healthtech space related to the cost, time, and effort required to produce quality voice content in large volumes. Normally, in real-world scenarios in healthcare settings, creating voice content for educating patients, onboarding patients, or training them involves significant coordination and communication with voice artists, scheduling voice recording sessions, and undergoing numerous rounds of revisions making the whole process painstakingly slow and labor-intensive. With Kukarella, the whole process is now instantaneously quick, enabling us to generate voice content in real-time. For example, while creating patient onboarding and caregiver training materials, we could instantly generate voice content from clinically approved scripts using Kukarella. This made it easy to update the content as and when guidelines changed without having to go through the whole process again. It’s also amazing that Kukarella offers access to multiple libraries, aggregating voices from Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and IBM, giving me a vast range of accents, ages, and tones to choose from. The Emotional Styling and customization options are fantastic too, allowing me to direct the AI voice to sound cheerful, whispering, empathetic, or professional, depending on the context. This level of direction makes narrations sound much more human and engaging. The web-based platform doesn't have a steep learning curve, and the AI Assistant is a great shortcut, making the whole setup incredibly easy. It takes some trial and error to figure out where specific settings like pitch and speed are hidden for each voice. Credit System Nuances: Kukarella uses a character-based credit system which can be frustrating. The 'multiplier' effect means some high-end premium or custom voices cost 10x the credits of a standard voice. If you're not paying close attention to the multiplier badge when selecting a voice, you can burn through your monthly allowance faster than expected. It doesn't sound robotic at all; it sounds incredibly believable for any type of content. I mainly use the feature that allows for dialogues with multiple AI voices; it makes scripts much more dynamic. And the voice cloning is fantastic for personalizing narrations. The slightly annoying thing is that the platform tends to take its time when I ask it to generate really long or complex scripts. And with voice cloning, you need a perfect sample to begin with, otherwise the result is sometimes a bit odd. I'd also like the word/credit counter to be less restrictive on the smaller packages. The fact that it can be easily used on a browser is my favorite thing about Kukarella. It's amazing how you just have to put in the text and the dialogues and voice-over are generated for you. As much as I love the simplicity of this tool, I do feel it is still a little basic when it comes to personalization and complex editing. What problems is Kukarella solving and how is that benefiting you? Kukarella converts the text to audio very easily in a matter of clicks. I do like there is further AI integration to enhance it even more. I used it for one of my personal projects and it easily did the job for me. I like the Kukarela audio and text conversion feature for multiple accent voices. It supports almost all country voice accents. I found US, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and even Kannada Indian voices that helped me to create the best audio file I can use to make presentations and videos. I implemented it with my call center software for IVR. It is easy and I use it frequently to create a Kannada accent voice which supports too much.
