It will enable the calendar to be synced with the Google or Outlook calendar, so the native calendar features can also be used, like the tasks added to Kosmotime showing up on the calendars. It also allows focus blocks to have grouping of tasks so that time can be blocked for all of them. It also allows time tracking for each task and focus group **What do you dislike about KosmoTime?** Kosmotime doesn't have phone application support and thus cannot be used on Android or iOS. Neither does it have PWA support. The UI doesn't support dark mode. Kosmotime tasks on Google calendar cannot be rescheduled/modified. They're read only **What problems is KosmoTime solving and how is that benefiting you?** KosmoTime allows me to block my calendar for tasks and allows me to track the time I spend on those tasks. It allows me to be more productive and mindful of my time and eases workload ### 2. Prior to using Kosmotime, I kept a million to-do lists all over the place which was fine... but it become hard to determine which tasks belonged to which things. I was doing a lot of jumping around and context switching. Also connecting my work and personal calendars is a huge time saver. **What do you dislike about KosmoTime?** It took me quite a bit of time to actually use the tool efficiently. It's different than the way that I kept track of tasks and times for years so not necessarily a dislike, but there was definitely a learning curve **Recommendations to others considering KosmoTime:** As I mentioned, it is a bit of a different way of working (or at least was for me). I think it's ultimately more efficient but it did take me a bit of time to adjust how I was used to working to best optimize my time as well as Kosmotime. Oh - and don't close the onboarding messages :) **What problems is KosmoTime solving and how is that benefiting you?** Benefits are that I'm doing less context switching. As I realize I have a new task pertaining to a project, I can add that task to a block of time I already have set aside for that thing. It let's me organize what would otherwise be messy, never-ending to-do lists. I also like the focus mode - sometimes a Slack message will distract me and turning that on pauses my notifications and changes my status so others know I'm in focus mode ### 3. It also lacks a reminder system. The tasks do not appear on the GCal, they only show a 'busy' event. For the actual task, you need to check Kosmotime **Recommendations to others considering KosmoTime:** Do not use it as your all in one productivity tool. Instead, only use it for what it does best - block time on your calendar, and follow it religiously **What problems is KosmoTime solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kosmotime is an easy to use tool to improve productivity by scheduling tasks and time blocks onto a calendar and tracking the time. Unlike tools that over indulge in feature expansion and make it more overwhelming to use the application than to actually get more productive using it, Kosmotime keeps it simple with a focused set of features. While it still lacks in improving integration support and reminders, it has great potential as a personal productivity tool ### 4. How I mainly use it is using the Chrome Plug in to grab all the docs and random things I need to read or execute on at some point in the future, and then I triage in the app itself when I have time. **What do you dislike about KosmoTime?** I'd like some more functionality around not showing tasks on my calendar that don't have a set time to be completed as so many people access my calendar each day. **Recommendations to others considering KosmoTime:** Let go of your old-school list-making app and use KosmoTime's Chrome extension instead! **What problems is KosmoTime solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've greatly reduced the time it takes me to stay organized and can now plow through a lot of tiny tasks in one workblock very easily. ### 6. It helps me to really focus on a priority task until it is completed, vs losing myself in tasks i would do first because they are easier or more funny. Since i am using KosmoTime i have started to put all my tasks in my Outdoor calendar and i feel less stressed. I am learning every day how much time tasks really take vs what i "feel" they should take, this helps me to improve my planning performance. Last i really like the "Focus Blocks" feature that helps me to handle streams of tasks that are linked together. It would be hard for me now to do without KosmoTime. **What do you dislike about KosmoTime?** I have not succeeded in linking KosmoTime with Asana yet (ad I am a big user of Asana) . Hopefully i will soon. **What problems is KosmoTime solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tasks take longer than expected because 1/ My expectations are not realistic, and 2/ I am getting distracted. With KosmoBlock and the "sprint" clock, i am developing a better feeling for how much time tasks are taking. And with the blocking feature, I get less distracted. ### 7. I never realized how frequently I was going between tabs and apps before! I feel like I'm spending real, dedicated time to do meaningful work. I also like the UI of the dashboard - it's easy to see everything I have to do and the tagging features help me to understand where I should be prioritizing my time. KosmoTime is helping to make getting through my tasks actually attainable. Imagine that :) **What do you dislike about KosmoTime?** There isn't much that I dislike about KosmoTime. Hoping to see more integrations in the future as the Slack and Asana integrations have been incredibly helpful so far. **What problems is KosmoTime solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before, I felt like my tasks were all over the place - paper, digital notes, email, Slack, Asana, etc. Each time I visited a different to-do list I felt overwhelmed. Now that I have one singular place to track everything I can finally feel a sense of accomplishment and reduce context-switching. I'm also learning to set more boundaries with myself and know that it's okay to not check email or Slack every time a notification comes through. It's important first to get through my tasks! ### 8. Easy to keep track of to-dos, create focus, and track time spent. **What do you dislike about KosmoTime?** It would be helpful to have a recurring block option, but it sounds like that feature is currently underway **What problems is KosmoTime solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlining my productivity apps and making sure they fit into my current ecosystem, not just add to it (love the slack integration.)
