# Which beginner-friendly conversational marketing software has clear chatbot documentation for getting started?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi G2 community, curious how the people who review<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/conversational-marketing"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/conversational-marketing">conversational marketing</a> software would call this one. When you are new to chatbots, the software matters less than whether its documentation can actually walk you through getting started, and vendor help centers are hard to compare from the outside because every vendor grades their own homework. So here is my read on four names that keep surfacing:<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/manychat/reviews"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/manychat/reviews"><strong>Manychat</strong></a>,<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/tidio/reviews"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/tidio/reviews"><strong>Tidio</strong></a>,<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/hubspot-marketing-hub/reviews"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/hubspot-marketing-hub/reviews"><strong>HubSpot Marketing Hub</strong></a>, and<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/landbot/reviews"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/landbot/reviews"><strong>Landbot</strong></a>.</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/hubspot-marketing-hub/reviews"><strong>HubSpot Marketing Hub</strong></a>: the deepest official documentation of the set, plus structured Academy courses. The catch is that the docs cover the entire suite, so the chatbot answers you need sit among thousands of articles written for everything else.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/tidio/reviews"><strong>Tidio</strong></a>: reviewers tend to describe setup as self-explanatory, which arguably matters more than documentation volume. The help center is scoped tightly to the widget-and-bot use case, so there is less to wade through.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/manychat/reviews"><strong>Manychat</strong></a>: leans on templates, video tutorials, and a large creator community rather than formal docs. Great if you learn by copying working examples, thinner if you want reference documentation when a flow misbehaves.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/landbot/reviews"><strong>Landbot</strong></a>: builder-focused guides and an academy aimed squarely at first bots. The smaller footprint cuts both ways, since less community content means official docs carry more of the load.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">That is my read from the outside, assembled from documentation and reviewer comments. Tell me where I have it wrong: whose getting started path took you from signup to a working chatbot fastest, and whose docs sent you to YouTube instead?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

&lt;p&gt;The best documentation test is whether a beginner can get from signup to a useful live flow without needing community workarounds. I’d compare time-to-first-bot, clarity around branching and integrations, and how well the docs help when something breaks—not just how many articles exist.&lt;/p&gt;
