The Kindertales CRM is powerful for tracking and working prospective families. Registration and forms inside of Kindertales makes paperwork a thing of the past. The Parent app makes communicating with families easier and increases customer satisfaction. Checking in and checking out with the check in stations makes drop off and pick up a breeze. The Kindertales enrollment manager makes forecasting graduations/age outs / new starts simple. The Classroom App puts key child information at the teachers’ fingertips. Meal Planning’s scheduling tool makes managing our menu efficient. Auto-pay with KinderPay makes collections simple for the entire organization. It is also very user friendly, the cx services team are very helpful and always ready to help. **What do you dislike about Kindertales?** The system is very slow at times and we have very difficult posting pictures for the families on daily reports. Also, the milestone report doesnt always save when completed. **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** The communication is a lot more faster and transparent with the parents. They get spontaneous updates about their children throughout the day and can communicate with the staff directly if needed. ### 5. I love the classroom section especially so I can easily see where everyone is and how many children are in both the center and in each room. **What do you dislike about Kindertales?** It can sometimes be slow to use, especially the staffing reports can take a long time to load. **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has streamlined our data and allowed it to be easier to access. Kindertales has potential but needs some improvements to get there **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Teneal D. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2022 **What do you like best about Kindertales?** Having online support is extremely helpful to ask questions, we love that feature. **What do you dislike about Kindertales?** - we wish there were ways we could pull more specific reports ( we really wish we could pull reports of what CHANGED in a month so we could cross reference for subsidy reporting, for example) - in the area where you see "kids enrolled with no payment information" we wish we could see the start date so we knew when they were beginning so we can touch base accordingly. Also being able to email directly from this page would be helpful. - there is a flaw with Kindertales where the start date is adjusted when a child changes programming (or maybe changes the # of days they attend) and it will skew our reporting for subsidy which results in a lot of manual labour - there have been a few glitches which makes it really difficult to trust reports that are pulled.. we often double check reports manually to ensure they are correct - the editing capabilities in the newsletter area are limited - we wish there were notifications on the dashboard when messages come in - we wish there were options for survey creation + the capability to pull reports from that data - **Recommendations to others considering Kindertales:** Make sure you know what kind of reporting you would like to be able to pull and that Kindertales can allow for that! It is something that we are constantly grumbling about because we wish it could just be a little bit easier. **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** Overall Kindertales is on the right track to being a phenomenal software but there are some glitches and updates that need to be improved for sure. It is really an all-in-one software that we are thrilled to be using but there are some areas for growth for sure. ### 11. With the CRM inquiry feature, it is easy to keep a running list for the waitlist. **What do you dislike about Kindertales?** inability to control features such as: CRM messaging, late fees, and some finance applications. Inability to separate the waitlist for different locations instead of just one. Inability to see enrollment in separate programs (AM vs PM), and see the list in last name alphabetical order instead of first name alphabetical order. Forms such as medical and health forms not being seen in the classroom app for state guidance protocols. **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** Not needing to use paper on site, but still have the chance to print out forms, attendance, and lists if needed. Parents are able to register quickly online instead of in person. Parents are able to communicate to sites through the kindertales app, as well as check in/out. ### 12. Our staff and faculty needed signifcant training and hand holding. Kindertales team were patient, thorough and pleasant at all times. **What do you dislike about Kindertales?** As with any software/application that is not customized, it does not meet every need of ours but again, with their team's help, we have been able to make it a wonderful resource for our school and parents. It would be extremely valuable to have the app be able to send notifications to mobile devices that are emergent. **Recommendations to others considering Kindertales:** Making the move to Kindertales was not an easy one but highly worth it. Our issues were mainly on our side, not Kindertales. Our staff has a difficult time with technology and change. It took a considerable amount of staff time initializing our use but are reaping the benefits ten-fold now. **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving communications, reporting, and accounting issues to name a few. As such, we have freed staff up for other important initiatives. Parents are pleased with the ease and frequency of communications. ### 13. Everything is stored in one place and we can easily track certain things. The ability to communicate with parents right from the app is so convenient for both admin and teachers. In my opinion, it has made my job easier in certain aspects. It has benefited our program in many ways, including organization, communication, and also keeping our finances all in one place which makes life so much easier. If there is a feature that can not get up immediately they will provide a way to propose a new feature to corporate. **What do you dislike about Kindertales?** They run their finance reports through stripe and they aren't always accurate. There are a few occasions that we need to follow up on amounts reflecting wrong. Also, the Messenger feature does not always execute sending messages correctly. **Recommendations to others considering Kindertales:** None **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have some issues with utilizing the incident/accident forms. I believe that it is a law in some states and provinces that children's reports must be signed on-site by the guardian. We aren't a state affected by this law, so we have requested that the feature could be accessible to states and provinces not affected by that specific law. ### 15. It is a big piece of software and takes a while to get your head around everything. **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kindertales puts the burden of collecting payments back on the parents, with features like auto-pay and the parent app. ### 16. Parents can set up their payment method, and don't have to worry about payments being late. They can fill out their forms and see what their child is doing throughout the day. **What do you dislike about Kindertales?** Sometimes when Kindertales makes changes to the app, we do not always get a notification for it. We see the changes when we use the app, which is every day. The communication with support has improved. When we first started using the app, we were not getting issues soluted for a couple of months, now it takes a day, a couple of days or a week or so, depending on the urgency. **What problems is Kindertales solving and how is that benefiting you?** Always working on payment issues, glitches with payments and subsidy differences, as we had outstanding balances continue to accumulate on their own and Kindertales was able to fix it within the day.
