## KeePass Reviews
  ### 1. feature rich, open source, and made for the tech-savvy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Keepass is a completely free program so it frees up your wallet when finding a solution. It is also very customizable with tons of different plug-ins ans extensions. Lastly, it is also open-sources so you will not have to worry as much about where your data goes like with a traditional password manager. You can store an unlimited number of entries.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

This program is not really user-friendly but more for a tech-savvy individual. Keepass simply stores your passwords but it will not alert you to possible security breaches. There is also no form fill-in option so it will not automatically fill in your credentials.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If you are a tech-savvy bunch of users, this program is best for you, since its free, unlimited entries, and is secure. You can even sync to devices. If you are layman user, this is not for you.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my field of work, security is a must. I have a different password for every single login, device and application (as you should). I have hundreds of passwords that are used but in no way can remember them all. Keepass allows me to utilize a single database with a master password to ensure i dont have to worry.

  ### 2. KeePass - Free password manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John-Austin G. | Product Manager, Consumer Experience, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2020

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass is a password manager available completely free for many systems. KeePass allows you to generate and save a selected number of passwords. Another feature that I like about KeePass is the ability to enter login data by pressing the appropriate button combination.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The only thing I would change with KeePass is the user interface.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

I recommend using KeePass to anyone looking for a secure password manager that is available for free.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

KeePass allows me to save my login data for services I use in my business and at home.

  ### 3. Easy tool to utilize to save passwords to ensure you're never locked out!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2020

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I like the simplistic design and easy to use interface.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

There isn't a prompt to make you update/revise your passwords every so many days depending on the program.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

This is a great tool to track and maintain your various passwords that you will likely use every day. It's inexpensive and a breeze to use.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password storage to ensure security and speed of recovery. I use this to maintain my passwords for the many sites and programs I access daily, and help prevent having to frequently do password resets.

  ### 4. Most useful tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larissa F. | Advocacia, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Keeping my keys safe and encrypted is the correct instrument. All the encrypted capacities with robust algorithms like SHA-256 are excellent. I love free, open, on Linux, Windows and Mac, software. For apps that require keys with particular parameters: the use of unique characters, capital letters, complete quantity, etc., the password generator is beneficial. It is fast to get a specific password, and the ballots will assist a lot in this quest. KeePass lets us maintain all passwords locally and not on a server that significantly enhances the company's safety.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The user interface is complicated, so you should enhance this segment to experience this software better. The multi-user mode is not the best; one user can alter other people's passwords readily. A better way to sort passwords and new secure projects could be evaluated.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Keep track of the prospective danger and integrity of the guest group at the distinctive place of your passwords. This equipment must be highly secure and must have a reliable power supply.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have centralized passwords for effective leadership and quick access with KeePass. In this field, the company's safety is improved as necessary as device and application credentials. KeePass enables the critical management and management on a desktop without access to the network to be monitored.

  ### 5. Unlike the contest, the software is open-source and freely available

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josenildo V. | Operador de produção, Paper & Forest Products, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

The application is a credentials manager that supports Windows and has variants for Linux, Mac OS X, and mobile devices that are located on the public KeePass page. Unlike the contest, the software is open-source and freely available. KeePass promotes several very safe encryption standards, AES and Twofish. The repositories are maintained locally by standard, but the application may be configured to use cloud services to synchronise information. Clients are provided with a portable technology variant on a flash drive that enables you to maintain your credentials around. The software is highly customizable, so when you use distinct libraries for particular activities, you may separate your passcodes into classifications to divide information. It is straightforward to import information from internet browsers and other credentials managers.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

It may be confusing to use KeePass for the very first time, as the software creates a blank GUI and it might take the time to get established with it so I recommend looking for a guide to optimize the instrument properly.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

I suggest Keepass because of the many robust security characteristics, that the software offers. In addition, the application is open-source and entirely adaptable, so it is probable that the instrument will reach your requirements.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software allows me to deposit my passcodes in  encrypted repository so that I need to know the master pass to access hundreds ones. The flash memory variant is also quite valuable due to frequent relocation.

  ### 6. Best password manager for keeping control of your database

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas W. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I personally chose Keepass because it allows me to download and manage the fully encrypted database of passwords myself, storing them where I please, while still providing extensions and plugins to create the experience that I needed and integrating with my browser to automatically fill in form fields and login credentials. It is a fast and small little app, but the features and power behind it are incredible.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

There was a bit of a learning curve when getting started compared to online services like 1Password that allow you to quickly import everything with their online walk through. The interface is also not the prettiest in the world. But all of these shortcomings are easily remedied through the different plugins available for KeePass.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Check out all of the available plugins and browser extensions that are compatible with KeePass to really create the experience you need from a password manager. I have mine setup to automatically sync and log me in to all my websites in Chrome. Also check out the portable version for a flash drive or online storage account access to allow you to easily have your password manager if you need to switch computers regularly (if you work on computers for instance).

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use KeePass for all of our project credentials and client credentials and store the database centrally on our Google Drive. This allows us to all easily have access to the passwords and credentials we need while still knowing the database is secured by both Google's security in Drive and via the encryption of the database itself. We love how easy and fast the app works and it mainly stays out of our way and just works!

  ### 7. Easy and straight forward app to manage paswords

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Simple double-clicking of the appropriate fields gets you your passwords or usernames copied to the clip board. Organizing passwords with groups folders makes things easier to find and read.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

Have not found an issue with this software as of yet. The only thing might be the aesthetics of the software. The UI is fairly intuitive but they could make it look more appealing to look at. Also, i think this software could use additional columns to add to the list in the views.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If you like a simple and easy to use software, but do not care about aesthetics, this is the program for you.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my field of work, we have hundreds of passwords and it is commonly insecure to use the same password for multiple applications.

  ### 8. Don't worry about too many diffferent password

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Od T. | IT Senior Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Credential management is a big issue for everyone. KeePass is the right solution for credential management. The first thing is it's free and open source. Just remember one password for the KeePass password manager and no need to worry about other logins and passwords. KeePass is created a login related record with grouping, extra URL or notes, with expire. One good function is generated password by own limitation (length, complexity, characters). And easy to use it. Copy username and paste where login then copy password and paste it. After use copy password functions then instant memory(Clipboard) clean procedure will be work. It is good protection against lost my password.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

Currently there is someones integration to browser is available. If there is official browser integration it will be good. Currently, my found integration web-enabled version for KeePass works only read-only.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

In digitally we need to remember more login and passwords. KeePass is easy and good secure password manager. Therefor one of the must have software for everyone. Just use it once. After that, you will be always install your desktop.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I met KeePass I always forgot my logins and password. Then spending many time for recovering it. Also I kept password insecure way such as memo, text file. Now I'm happy with KeePass. It created encrypted personal password database in my desktop. Keepass database file is encrypted strong algorithm by my own created secret key.

  ### 9. Great for business and personal use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Aviation & Aerospace | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I appreciate that my KeePass database can be stored on my own hard drive or thumb drive. It feels more secure than having to store it on the cloud somewhere (though it can also be stored on the cloud if you desire). I also appreciate that when I type in a password that I make up myself, KeePass indicates with a graduated color-coded bar whether it's a reasonably secure choice. I also like that KeePass reminds me when an update is available, and automatically loads my database into the update.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

KeePass will auto-generate random passwords if you prefer that to making up your own. Those auto-generated passwords are nigh unto impossible to remember on my own, though. Maybe there is a way to customize passwords that I already have - and just make them a little more complicated - but I have not discovered it yet.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

KeePass saves me a lot of time. I work in a lot of applications and if I had to remember all those passwords (which have to be changed frequently) .... well, I'd have to write them down, and that's not very secure now, is it?

  ### 10. KeePass allows me to store all my password in my database.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

This application is undoubtedly fabulous, it makes the task of remembering passwords and registration data much more comfortable, thanks to this software I can safely store all the personal information of my records of each website that requires it. I can afford to put extensive passwords that give me more security because KeePass does the hard work for me. Best of all, I can protect the database that contains all my information with a master password so no one else can access it. Besides, this application is free, very light and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

Developers could implement more tools that contribute to improving the security of users. The software excellently does its job, but it could have content that makes it more complete.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

No doubt I recommend this application, it is essential for any user. It makes the tedious task of memorizing too many passwords for each site we access a lot easier. It is easy to install, use and configure.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to this application I can keep track and order of all my users and registration information clearly and flawlessly, KeePass has undoubtedly relieved me of the intense work of memorizing many passwords, and I no longer need to put the same password in different registers.

Using the program is very easy, it is enough to set the primary password, and no interference is required. KeePass gives you the ability to enter data into the form on the selected page quickly.

- KeePass developers focus more on functionality than on the interface so that new users may have a problem with KeePass.

- You must remember to make database backups in case of a problem with the storage media can lose access to passwords forever.

Any user can handle KeePass.

KeePass lacks the ability to integrate our database with cloud services, so we could comfortably transfer passwords.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

KeePass is a recommendable password manager, especially since it is available completely free of charge.

KeePass allows me to store a large number of passwords, so I don't have to write them down on cards or in a notebook, which may be exposed to theft.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominique G. | General Services Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass is a program that allows the user to store passwords and generate them KeePass caught my attention, my attention is that it is, completely free of charge available to most operating system owners, another of its advantages is that KeePass allows us to create strong random passwords and save their infinite number. KeePass not only allows us to save passwords but also gives us the ability to sort them into folders. Passwords generated in KeePass are stored in a secure file, which can be transferred on mobile devices or saved in the cloud so that we can access our passwords in a selected place in the world.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

In KeePass, I miss very much the function of direct integration with the clouds, as well as the possibility of integration with the 2FA application.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

A password manager is a very useful tool all the more so when we want to maintain security on the Internet KeePass is worth trying solution because it allows us to store data in a secure way and above all is available for free.

  ### 16. The best to manage your passwords

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anibal U. | Electro Mechanical technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I like this program because it is an open source tool, which allows all passwords to be stored in a secure and encrypted way, and there is no weakness if a large number of users analyze the code to be violated. Note that this tool would help me to ensure that all documents, files or programs are safeguarded and that no person can see or make changes to what is being protected; that is why you should use an easy reminder password so that the main or initial user can access your files and / or documents.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The only thing I do not like about the tool described above is that, despite its security, there may be the possibility of not being able to access the document, file or program if we forget the password, this would lead to a delay in what is is making and / or losing information if we can not enter.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Among the recommendations that I could mention for this program would be the following:

Do not forget to save the password and changes to the database.

Write and save in a safe place the password that will be used.

Make a backup of the base that is being worked on and store it in a different place, such as a pen drive, mail, etc.

Do not give anyone the password or password, since it is for personal use.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

this application helps me to manage in a simple and precise way all the passwords that I store in your database, today we use different passwords for work and personal level and sometimes we need this assistant to remind us in an effective way

  ### 17. KeePass - review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass is free, open-source software for secure password management. You can put all your passwords in one database that is protected by one master password or a key file. The user only has to remember one primary password or select a key file to open the entire database. Databases are encrypted using the best and most secure encryption algorithms currently available (AES and Twofish). KeePass is entirely free and has open-source code. You can look at its source code and see if the encryption algorithms are properly implemented.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The only thing I can do with the KeePass solution is that the interface looks pretty retro.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If you are not using any password manager, then you should consider using KeePass now.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using KeePass, I can take care of security in the cyberspace using secure passwords significantly reduces the likelihood of hacking into my account.

  ### 18. KeePass - With this safe you will remember all logins and passwords

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Todd C. | Director of Finance, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass is a free data manager available for many operating systems. All data stored in the database are protected by AES algorithm with a 256-bit key. Our password is also being transformed against data protection, so we can be sure that the safe is "airtight" and the possible intrusion into it will result only from our inattention or mistake. After creating or opening an existing database, we will see the information contained in it on the main screen of the application. The interface is simple and legible: on the right side, there is a side panel with categories (groups) written in it, on the left side, there are elements written in it. When you select one of them, the most important information will be displayed below. Also, Auto-Type provides integration with web browsers - just a keystroke combination to enter sensitive data.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

Developers should focus on design changes and Keepass integration with cloud storage.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Keepass is a password manager with high functionality and also available for free.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keepass allows me to store secure passwords set by me on the most important portals.

  ### 19. Why I recomend this password menager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denise H. | Planejamento, Fiscalizacao de obras e Administrativo, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

It is beneficial to have a tool of that type because it enables me to handle the passwords to ensure that every company is safe and that user accounts of all secure facilities, in turn, have the effect on better compliance with security laws, because the passwords are saved in folders that I can organize in folders. It is an open-source and cross-platform encrypted password manager that suggests that I can access KeePass files on any operating system. I like the generator of the password. I can choose multiple ciphers according to their complexity.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The main disadvantage for KeePass is the master password, which means there is no way you can access your credentials on the file if you forget or lose this password, as there is no support team in this software because it is free and open-source so that you have to maintain it in mind. KeePass also has a downside because it does not have a Web App to keep passwords on your site, like LastPass or the like.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Why do I suggest this software? It is free, open-source and very light because it's working. In the best way and without noisy, KeePass secures digital credentials. Another element you should take into account in KeePass is the fact that I can achieve the master password in my brain, but I could also have it written in a unique location I only understand.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

KeePass provides us with the capacity to handle all accounts, programs, devices or services that need encryption with the password. With a master key or even a file which significantly increases the safety basis of the business, KeePass provides us with a distinctive location, centralized and regulated by the correct individuals.

  ### 20. KeePass - Security with just one click.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christophe B. | General Insurance Agent, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Keepass is a program that I learned about while browsing the technology forum, one of the main advantages that I noticed when using KeePass is the fact that this program is available completely free of charge to owners of the most popular systems. Keepass is used in many areas, especially in the IT industry, where we use many websites daily, where we need to log in. Our passwords are as secure as money in a Swiss bank because KeePass uses advanced security algorithms and the primary password chosen by we protect our database. KeePass also has an auto password-writing function, which is very useful because it enters login data for us.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

I did not notice any drawbacks when using Kepass apart from the fact that the auto-refill option does not always work well.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Free password management solution with grade A security.
Simple UI and direct access to all your password are standard here.
Password database is securly encrypted and cannot be accessed without proper authentization.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The UI might look a little bit dated, but for such a great price (hint: its free) this is such a non issue.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password management and security. The software offers great ways to store your passwords with additional info to them (i.e. website, notes, etc.)

  ### 22. Best secure password manager

**Reviewed by:** Josh B. | Mr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Perfect ability to have multiple password databases. I use 1 for work and 1 for personal. Ability to separate passwords into groups. e.g. social media, clients, emails.
Also ability to auto-fill passwords is nice as well as being able to load files from remote locations, Dropbox, SFTP, etc.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

GUI (Graphical User Interface) Isn't the nicest to look at and could definitely improve on that front. Browser plugin support isn't the most straight forward and could be simplified.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More secure online accounts as now i can have a different password for each website and not have to worry about remembering it.

  ### 23. Manage passwords

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

A developer colleague suggested Keepass as a safe manner to share a username, password, note, URL, and other username databases a few years ago. Since then, my entire team has used Keepass across various projects and as a technique of coordinating and safely sharing email credential. Keepass allows us to organize, store, and quickly access extensive collections of login and account credentials. Encryption is extremely safe, and a bonus is the password generator instrument. We used this tool for both on-site (PC) and mobile (thumb drive) apps. The search feature to readily discover buried or old usernames and passwords is quick and easy. Overall, this is an excellent, free instrument that does precisely what it says it does.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The only downfall is that if you forget your password for this software, you'll lose it all.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

I recommend using the KeePass for secure password storage.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With KeePass, I can quickly generate a random password and save it without leaving my workstation.

I recommend using KeePass to anyone looking for a password manager that also works offline because KeePass is available completely free of charge.

  ### 25. Of the best password managers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine N. | Mechanical Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I love this application because I can have the passwords saved and organized in folders, it is very useful to have a tool of this kind because it allows me to manage the passwords which guarantee to have all the company's secure systems and in turn the user accounts of all secure services, this has an impact on better compliance with safety regulations. Keepass is an encrypted password manager, it is open source and cross-platform which indicates that I can access a KeePass file on any operating system. I love the password generator, being able to choose several ciphers depending on the complexity required.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

A key disadvantage in KeePass is the master password, since in case you forget or lose this password there will be no way to access your credentials in the file since this software does not have a support team as such since it is free and opensource, therefore it is important to keep this in mind. Another negative aspect of KeePass is that it does not have a web application to save passwords in your web pages such as LastPass or similar ones.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Why do I recommend this application? Because it works, it's free, it's open source and it's very light. KeePass secures digital credentials in the best possible way and does so without making noise. Another aspect that you should consider with KeePass is to have the master password safe, in my case I have it in my brain but I could also have it written down in a special place that only I know.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our business environment, KeePass offers us the ability to securely manage the password of all accounts, programs, devices or services that need to be encrypted. KeePass gives us a unique place, centralized and controlled by the right people and also protected with a master key or even a file which greatly improves the security base of the company.

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass allows me to configure a master password and store all personal or corporate data. The features I appreciate most are its 256-bit encryption and its availability for almost all platforms such as Windows, Linux, MacOS. In addition, I also like your tool to put an expiration date on passwords.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The interface is easy to use, but it has a very old design. It almost looks like I'm driving it from Windows XP. Both the layout and the icons should be updated to offer a more modern user experience.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

I can recommend this software to guarantee the protection of your passwords. This software has banking security technology, it is multiplatform and it is very easy to use, so today I trust this tool closed eyes.

  ### 27. Reliable password manager for free

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis Miguel A. | Coordenador de Projetos, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass supports many operating systems, and you are able to use it on almost every device. Unlike the contest, the software is free and open-source. KeePass offers several requirements for encryption, AES and Twofish, ensuring a high level of safety. The application may be customized to use cloud storage to synchronize data, but by default, the databases are stored locally. As developers give a mobile version of the software on a USB flash drive, you can hold your password database around. KeePass is a completely customizable solution so that if you use separate databases for particular actions, your passwords can be split into categories for information segregation. It is seamless to import information from other sources like web browsers, password managers, and generic password files.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

KeePass interface might not be transparent for the first moment, as the program creates a clean interface and it may take time to get started, so I recommend looking for a tutorial to properly configure the tool.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If you're searching for a management solution that offers a lot of facilities, you might think about attempting Keepass. In addition, the software is open-source and can be fully customized, so the instrument is likely to satisfy your requirements.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Cristobal P. | Cristobal Palacios Soporte Remoto, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

It is a free software, lightweight but with a big heart. With KeePass, we can have a small database with all those passwords we want to keep secure and protected by passwords, from your WiFi password to bank accounts. With this application, it is possible to store them in great detail, even placing links to the pages related to the password that will be used for storage. In the settings section, KeePass has a great customization section where we can configure the appearance, the tasks it performs when it runs, and scripts to automate some processes. All passwords are stored in a database to which a master key can be assigned to monitor its access.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The configuration for a novice user can be difficult since there are a lot of parameters that need to be set if a high level of security for our keys is desired. There are many steps to configure the program, requiring patience and experience in using the software.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

They are on the right track, the program is highly recommended for those users who wish to manage their passwords in an organized and secure manner, totally recommended.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software is starting to be implemented as it helps the user with the management of their personal passwords as well as some managed for the company. Another great advantage is that it is completely free and saves costs on acquiring other software to perform the mentioned task.

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass is a software that allows you to save and create passwords in one place. They can be very complicated because they do not need to be remembered. We need to set and remember only one password that will give us access to all of them. This is secure because all passwords are encrypted. In the program, we can segregate passwords, create folders, etc. so using and searching for personal passwords is fast and straightforward. The program is entirely free of charge.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The graphical user interface is not very user-friendly, in my opinion. It is not very intuitive and outdated.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If you need a simple program to store and generate passwords, you should try Keepass, because it costs nothing and offers excellent data encryption.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Cliff S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I like that the passwords are stored locally and not on the servers of some company that may get hacked or go out of business.

I worry about losing the master file with all the passwords but I already made like 3 backups of it in different places. I suggest everyone do the same who is using this software.

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Very easy and quick to download and install application. This application is very useful as it allows you to save registration data on the different websites we access. It saves usernames, passwords, and emails in a very organized way. It is easily configured and allows you to create a database which can be saved anywhere and protected with a password. The most pleasant thing about this software is how easy it is to use, it does not require any particular knowledge to configure it correctly. It is undoubtedly the safest way to keep our passwords safe and well organized. Additionally, the files it creates with our passwords are a file that can be carried on any USB device and used on other computers as long as KeePass is installed since it is the only software that recognizes these files.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The interface is not the most attractive or user-friendly, although it is quite simple to use, it would be nice if it were more intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Highly recommended, the best application to save your passwords, emails, and registration information among other data. KeePass is a password storage software, it is completely free and is only available for Windows. With KeePass, we can store all those important passwords that we don't want to forget, such as bank passwords, email passwords, or passwords for any website or social network. This program has quality tools, one of which is that we can assign a master password to start the application, thus preventing others from checking our passwords.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

This program is a bit difficult to set up, it requires a lot of patience and time that we are going to dedicate to configure it correctly. They should also improve the application's interface, as it looks a bit outdated.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

I like you can kinda keep anything in there. I have a few databases. KeePass supports a number of plugins. It has a password generator and synchronization function, supports two-factor authentication, and has a Secure Desktop mode. It can use a two-channel auto-type obfuscation feature to offer additional protection against keyloggers. KeePass can import from over 30 other most commonly used password managers.

  ### 34. Secure Password Keeper

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Having the ability to remember just one master password while all the others are kept secure inside the database.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

I really do not have anything that I dislike about KeePass.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have to change passwords frequently for a variety of reasons (I.T., Payroll, Banking, H.R.) and it had been hard to keep up with the requirements for each of the different areas I cover.

KeePass allows me to keep my passwords in a secure database with a windows tree like GUI. I am able to organize my different passwords into their own file system.

When a password has a required reset I am able to auto generate based on the previous password and just have to remember to save the database. Another thing that I like about KeePass is having the ability to go to the entry for the site I am needing a passwrd for and double click the username and/or password, it copies to the windows clipboard and then paste into the field I need login credentials. After 10 seconds the clipboard is automatically wiped by KeePass.

  ### 39. KeePass - Password Management Made Simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric H. | ACE Systems Administrator, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Having all my passwords in one place with so many options for unlocking the database.

I share my database with other employees at work. Making password access, changes and management so simple. Our vault files are stored encrypted in the cloud and use file synchronization to propagate the changes near instantly.

The built in password generated is also a nice added bonus!

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The interface itself feels a little dated. Reminds me a bit of an old Windows 95/98 application. But functionally it works as intended.

Would love to see a Chrome plugin so that my passwords could be easily accessed while working via a web browser.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

It's a great, secure and free option for password management. I can't express enough how powerful this becomes when paired with cloud storage / synchronization. We use BOX at work... but any of the other cloud storage providers should work well too.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password management is always a pain. But this replaced a spreadsheet which is immensely insecure in comparison. Pairing this with cloud storage means everyone is always up to date with changes.

  ### 40. KeePass - Fast and safe

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruno L. | FINANCE CONTROLLER, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass is a program that allows me to store and generate passwords safely. The main advantage of this solution is that it is available completely free of charge. Keepass is a multiplatform solution running on such systems as Windows, Linux, and Mac. It also has support for mobile devices (Ios/Android). It is worth mentioning that the passwords we generate are stored in a secure encrypted file that can be moved between devices using a cloud/portable memory. The ability to integrate with any (modern) web browser is also a plus.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

One of the disadvantages of KeePass is the fact that if we forget the main password, we will not have access to our data. I also lack the possibility of direct integration with clouds.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If you are looking for a password manager that is available for free and allows you to save as many passwords as you like, you should consider trying KeePass.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By using KeePass I am able to generate and save random passwords, so that no one will gain access to important accounts.

  ### 41. Your security keys at hand

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel C. | I am a good graphic designer and thanks to this tool, I am more professional, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Too much security in the hands, the most complete security tool that stores all the keys of your life digitally. I really like the tool because you can have it as an executable at any time of life, wherever you want. It is portable and very unique. In fact the development and benefits are demante by the users.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The only thing that I do not like about the tool is that if you store it in the cloud as an executable backup file, you must link that the tool does not hang, since it depends a lot on opening the amount of shared keys that exist. In the same way it is part of a general security key, because if you forget the access code to the program or file, you lost everything, since there is no way to recover it easily.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

I totally recommend the tool, for those people who need to have several access codes, handle all types of passwords and you can configure them by folder.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool helps me every day of my work, for the access of devices that contain generic keys, for that reason I do not remember them and thanks to this program I can remember them for their purpose. Once I could not enter a firewall in my locality for which I went to the program to see if I had a generic key saved and the connection was successful

  ### 42. Free and Excellent Password Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Individual & Family Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I can store all my passwords in a single file used by the app. The most important thing is the file is encrypted and to open it you will the app and the main password to access to the database.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

It is kind of complex to use it in the mobile app. Well I think it wasn't developed to use it in mobiles. For me to be able to read the encrypted file with all my passwords, I stored the main file in Dropbox and from my Keepass mobile app and read the file and use it without issues.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem I'm solving with the app is getting rid of having to remember all the passwords I use in different platforms.

  ### 43. The most secure password storage application.

I securely store passwords, usernames, important website names and bank information that may be confidential. In addition, with the 2-factor login option, I increase the security one more time.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The worst part of the application is that it does not use a common database with mobile.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed the user name of the website, the certificate has expired and I had to login to the portal about 2 years ago, I easily access the information I have stored.

KeePass is a free password management solution that supports Windows and has unauthorised versions for Linux, Mac OS X, and mobile devices which are available on the official KeePass website. In contrast to the competition, the software is open-source and free of charge. KeePass provides several encryption standards, AES and Twofish, that ensure high-security level. The application could be customised to use cloud storage to sync data, but the databases are stored locally by default. You can keep your password database around, as developers offer a portable version of the software on a USB flash drive. KeePass is a fully customizable solution so that your passwords could be divided into categories to segregate data if you use different databases for specific actions. Importing the data from other sources such as web browsers, password managers, and generic password files is seamless.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

Using KeePass for the first time might not be transparent, as the program brings up a blank interface and it may take some time to get started with it so that I suggest looking for a tutorial to configure the tool correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If you are looking for a password solution that provides many features, you might consider trying Keepass. Moreover, the software is open-source and fully customizable, so it's likely that the tool will meet your needs.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

KeePass allows me to store my passwords in one, encrypted safety vault, so to get access to hundreds of my account I need to remember one password. Also, because of my frequent travels, the portables version is a comfortable solution.

  ### 45. KeePass - Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oscar A. | Administrator systemów IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2018

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

First advantage is that KeePass is free. KeePass uses strong and secure encryption algorithms such as AES, ChaCha20 and Twofish, and SHA-256 hashes. KeePass automatically generates low-intuitive passwords (for each service). With the ability to create groups in KeePass, sorting passwords will be easier. KeePass is an open source password manager so people made version for Linuks, OS X, Pocket PC and Android.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

In my opinion first disadvantages is that KeePass have not very intuitive interface. The design is not user-friendly for new users of this program. In my opinion KeePass should pay more for opinion in others web sites.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

If u want to use it in my opinion you should use Professionall Edition. That give us more option.

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I like that it is a portable tool that is to say you can save the key file to be able to use it anywhere, you can save it in a cloud, without problem. It is a pretty safe, reliable tool and guarantees that you can establish a connection to any device, thanks to its key memory that has

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

I do not like that you have a lot of procedure just to see a key. additionally if you lose the key you can not re-enter as you do not have how to recover it. Also if you save it in the cloud and you do not have access you lose all the information, therefore it would be great to save it in the cloud and manage it with an encrypted security type

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

You can use 100% guaranteed tool, since it can be used at any time to save the tool

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

he has solved problems like, being able to connect to a firewall, which did not have the key and therefore a friend transferred me his keys and I could as well as a problem, in the company where I am working, thanks to it I could configure a statistical route that was missing to be able to go online

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

+ Keepass is a program that makes it very easy to manage static passwords. With its help, we will significantly increase the security of our accounts and simplify the authentication process (both on your computer, phone and tablet):

+ Secure storage of passwords for any service,

+ Automatic generation of hardly intuitive passwords (for each service),

+ Support for automatic logging (e. g. we can replace the password manager in Firefox),

+ Automatic creation of password database backup.

+ Works with Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, Blackberry and others,

+ It does not integrate with a specific program, it is a kind of "notepad for passwords";,

+ OpenSource - access to the source code guarantees security and easy expansion

+ Lightweight program with portable version.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

Problems with database synchronization and opaque design.

Despite these small inconveniences, Keepass is a very flexible program that is easy to use and significantly increases security.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

It is worth spending a few minutes on downloading keepass, because a secure password can protect us from unauthorized access to data important to us.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a person interested in cyber security, I know how important it is to have strong passwords, thanks to keepass we can store our passwords on your computer without saving them in dangerous places.

  ### 48. Secure password registration application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bahar K. | Solutions Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

KeePass is basically a password safe that allows you to store your accounts, computer and bank information and passwords on various websites with encryption on your computer and use them easily when needed. Only one master password can be used to access the passwords, or a key file that you define can be used if desired.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

There is no authorized local company in case of risk and open code.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have accessed the url and password information of your dns server access information for 5 years.

  ### 49. Allows easy yet secure access to sensitive data

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

Useful in managing sensitive data/information. It's free and customizable. Easy and secure access when needed

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

It is not user friendly. Hard to understand how it works. Need better support too.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps passwords in one place. Easy when there are several to remember

  ### 50. Password Storage

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry H. | Representante Técnico, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about KeePass?**

I love the ability it has to admit thousands and thousands of credentials even in the same database.

Add notes and update keys in different formats is very effective in organizations that implement a much greater security system daily.

The most exciting thing is that it is completely free and open source; so improvements can be made manually if you know something about programming.

It has impressive language support. High security capacity in encryptions for sending passwords as well as storing them; thus avoiding any brute force hacking methods.

**What do you dislike about KeePass?**

The physical appearance is one of the main characteristics that I don't like. I find it very static, very simple for such a productive application.

Additionally, I mention that the saved passwords in the database do not synchronize. We have a workgroup in which we use the same database to manage passwords. The point is that when a password is updated, it should automatically update for others and it doesn't.

And finally, when this program is updated, the changes included in the update are not visible. I hope you can improve the aesthetics.

These are the main negative points I find.

**Recommendations to others considering KeePass:**

Simply, it is very practical; it works and adapts very well both at the corporate level and on a personal level. There is no need to add more. This application is very good and with just a few clicks, the necessary configuration can be done.

**What problems is KeePass solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The utility and productivity of this small program are enormous. With it, I can send the username and password of any application with just one click. Since I work as remote technical support, there are many occasions where it's necessary to send credentials, and there are so many that with this tool we can use it to the fullest.
