I like the user interface because it’s really easy to navigate through the tabs. I also like the traceability. The latest feature, “Trace Product,” is easy to understand and can help a lot with audits. I like the multiple bin feature too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Shop Floor app is really great, but when we add multiple operations, we have to enter information like lot numbers and quantities for each one. Some operations are just for setting up the machine or line, or for someone to verify or approve the product. For those operations, we don’t need to enter lot numbers or other information. The things that are most helpful is the ease of katana. To me it feels very fluid and easy to use and allows for more clear use of the product. When you dont have to have tons of questions on how to use it that allows me to be more efficient with my time. I love that i can use my claude account to work with Katana. It makes it finding PO's or parts even more simple. The system is very accurate and you can trust it as long as you are putting everything in everything accurately. Without using my AI, the thing that drives me insane is trying to find the PO where I ordered specific items. I have multiple vendors where I order different things, and trying to track down when I ordered them and how many I ordered is a nightmare. I also dont like that there are no ways to communicate with me team through katana. Sales team cant let procurement know there is a new order, Procurement team cant let Production and install teams know there part is on order or has been received. Love the UI/UX for Katana! It's easily navigable and lends itself to a straight forward learning process. The features meet our shop's needs exactly, while remaining within the standard price range for similar tools.

No performance issues, except for some very minor and brief lags between processes - Though this may be because of the speed of moving through a trial instead of real time between operations that would happen in actual use.

I also very much appreciate the native integration with Anthropic/Claude Artificial Intelligence. Connecting with the Claude's AI allowed me to bypass some tedious setup work, allowing me to get started even faster.

Katana has been really easy to teach my team. It is very intuitive and user friendly. I really appreciate how they are constantly making updates and changes to the system in ways that benefit the user and not just a bunch of add-ons that muddy the UI. Some of the integrations with outside software can be a little clunky. I have Katana connected to QBO and 2ship and for the most part they work well, but there are some quirks. The visibility is the biggest win. Having live stock levels, work orders and material requirements in one place means we're not chasing spreadsheets to find out whether we can commit to a job. As a manufacturer working to order, being able to see exactly what's allocated versus what's genuinely available has cut a lot of guesswork out of production planning. Reporting is the weakest area. The built-in reports cover the basics but anything more specific means exporting to a spreadsheet or pulling data via the API. The simplicity of the stock allocation and MO grid. This makes it very clear at a glance to my team what we can and cant do.

I really like the organized interface of Katana Cloud Inventory. It's pretty intuitive and makes it easy to manage tasks and navigate through the system. Would be better if formulas could be entered in as percentages as opposed to material needed for 1 lb of product. Also, we have a secondary warehouse that we keep packaging needed for production in and we are unable to put that against orders until we receive it in our main. warehouse for production. After investing considerable time in implementing Katana, we felt stuck when the subscription became much more expensive. As a small team, we did not have the resources to immediately switch to another ERP.

When we eventually cancelled, we were charged an additional month under their cancellation terms. Our request for a goodwill exception was refused, and we were offered a lower price to stay instead, despite making it clear that our decision to leave was final. Our subsequent emails explaining our concerns and requesting a senior review have gone unanswered despite follow-ups.

Katana keeps our whole manufacturing operation in one place — materials, BOMs, production orders, and inventory across multiple SKUs and clients — so we're not stitching together spreadsheets to know what we can actually produce. The biggest standout recently for us has been its ability to connect directly with Claude. We use that integration to pull live inventory data, run reports, and automate parts of our workflow that used to be manual — which have improved our workflow dramatically in just a few weeks.
