I'm excited about the new AI features that are rolling out to automate my workload; We're playing around with Engagements right now, which should save us money on e-signatures, speed up our process of writing agreements, and make our admin work for onboarding take less time. As the leader of a lean team, I'm especially excited to see how agentic AI speeds up our delivery of services and reduces unprofitable admin time, and how native meeting transcription can create more visibility in my Karbon. There's SO MUCH coming out in terms of new platform capabilities, that knowing what to implement first can feel a little overwhelming. I earned a Karbon Expert Certification in 2020 or 2021, and it was a great way to learn the system. I'd love to see some more robust tutorial info for these new features. Some of the integrations are lite and I wish they were full integrations. It's frustrating to hear they have new integrations with certain other applications, and it really doesn't talk back and forth. What I like best about Karbon is the improved workflow, it’s much more streamlined and efficient. Planning and managing the team’s workload has become significantly easier, which helps us stay organised and on track. Communication between team members has also improved a lot, making collaboration smoother. We have individual work related to company directors that sits on each person’s individual timeline, but it is ultimately billed to the organisation. The search function is challenging. Lots of time I have to go to Gmail to find things. Also would like if the sent items retained everything sent that day even if there are replies back and forth over several days. Also would help to see comments made by date somehow.

Would also like to be able to get more practice management out of it including Engagement letter contract management and billing, especially recurring maintenance billing which is most of what we do. I know this is underway though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This software is very user friendly, making it easy on the eyes and not overwhelming. I have used other platforms (Practice Ignition, Asana, etc.) and those tools required more steps and time. I currently still bill my clients outside of Karbon. They have added payment processing in 2024 which is great. However, I do not see a control over managing fees, as I prefer to pass these to my clients. I like how you can attach emails to a work item and keep all related communication in one central place. It’s also helpful that I can see other messages and updates from team members tied to that same work, so everything stays together and easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It isn’t very customisable. I’d like to be able to tailor the product more and add practice-specific information, for example. The API could also work better, and it’s not as open as the documentation suggests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Karbon is how it brings everything into one place. Managing emails, tasks, workflows, and client communication from a single platform makes it much easier to stay organized and keep track of work. The collaboration features are excellent, and the visibility across projects helps our team stay aligned and meet deadlines more consistently. One area I'd like to see improved is the template reset functionality. When work templates are reset or updated, comments and certain contextual information don't always carry over or remain easily accessible. It would be incredibly helpful if Karbon could preserve these notes or allow users to overlay stored information onto the new template. I appreciate Karbon's feature called Triage because it's a game changer for me. It really helps by preventing me from getting sucked into dealing with items as soon as they land in my inbox.
