When PDF documents of essays or long texts are provided to students, it's hard to ask them to show accountability for annotating these texts. Kami is the magic bullet to this problem! With the extension, students and teachers can easily annotate and edit the PDFs; this is truly, a Godsend! **What do you dislike about Kami?** Some misalignments with highlighting and some of the cool features are only available for pay (like voice commenting, video commenting or inserting images). **Recommendations to others considering Kami:** Be brave: pilot using Kami and I bet that you will not return to paper editing and annotating! You could always give the option to some students to paper edit, but most prefer Kami. **What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kami has helped me become a more paperless classroom. Instead of distributing short stories, essays, poems and other documents with traditional paper (and wasting ream after ream after ream for kids who lose everything), I can now provide the PDF and ask students to annotate the digital copy. Kami proves that tech over traditional saves time, money, headache and hassle! Digital doesn't disappear. ### 6. The UI of Kami is easy and intuitive, it feels very familiar to programs we are used to as Mac users (ex- preview). **What do you dislike about Kami?** I don't like that when you open the same document it will have the information in it from last time. I'm sure that is helpful for some instances but for me it can be confusing and may cause me to miss steps or leave the wrong information. Overall, that is a very small complaint I think this is the best program for pdf editing. **Recommendations to others considering Kami:** Try it out, it will work wonders! **What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy editing of documents for sending and signature. ### 8. It works great with projective and screen-cast technologies. ### 9. The ability to save the annotations directly to Google Drive is fantastic. I teach High School Math and I use this software to create my answer keys. Since I can share the keys easily through Google, Kami makes the grading process much more efficient. **What do you dislike about Kami?** My only complaint could be the same for all software. I wish there were more options for a free account. However, I understand this is a great product that people have spent time creating. Therefore I see why there are paid features. **What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used to have to create the answer keys by hand then scan them in to my Drive. Kami has taken out the scanning steps, and made the process more efficient. ### 10. Tom's of features include: highlighter, strikethrough and underline, add comments, text, paint features, shapes, and I'm really just getting started. I used this for school and currently use this for work, as well. After edits have been made, you can download as a PDF or upload to your Drive. I love it - it's really been a big help when working on PDFs. **What do you dislike about Kami?** It can be a bit confusing at first as you learn to use it as an app or extension, but don't stress. You get the hang of it quickly. There are locked, premium features that would be nice, bit I understand that it's a tech company. **What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?** Editing on PDFs. ### 11. Not all businesses have adobe writer, but Kami enables you to make and track changes on Pdfs. It also enables me to easily split apart the pages of a pdf. **What do you dislike about Kami?** It saves in two different formats and so the edited version is not available as easily in my google drive. **Recommendations to others considering Kami:** Give it a try! **What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?** It enables me to take notes on PDFs. Often we are given readings or articles and I need to write on them to better understand. This lets me and my coworkers take notes on the document thereby reducing the amount of paper waste - especially for an office that does not have paper recycling on-site. ### 12. It's so helpful when studying or analyzing data! **What do you dislike about Kami?** I appreciate that Kami needs to make money-its a business- but it is always a bummer learning that a favorite resource has a paid version that some people (some students) just can't swing. **Recommendations to others considering Kami:** Consider using this product particularly if you're already using Google Suites. HS and college students consider spluring on the paid version and guarantee you'll increase your engagement. **What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?** A huge benefit is being able to track edits and notes in shared documents, and being able to save color coded notes quickly and easily. ### 13.
