The free version offers just enough for most students and teachers to get by. If you have access to the paid version you get additional features that add to the application in ways that almost any class can utilize. **What do you dislike about Kami for G Suite?** It can be a bit complicated and confusing to link certain features with a Google account. Not only that, but if you uncheck one box or update one little thing you'll need to go back into the software and make setting changes that can be hidden. **What problems is Kami for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mainly during the middle of the pandemic we purchased Kami so that our teachers could have students complete handouts or other work and submit what they did through Google Classroom. As a teacher, it organizes the students' work into folders for me. Amazing! As a math teacher, I had tried many different avenues for going paperless, and none were as seamless as Kami. You should definitely get the whole organization to sign on, as it is a huge saving in cost. There is an amazing program for certification that teaches you the many different features and how to best use the program. It takes about an hour, and I find that I use it much more efficiently now than before. My students love using Kami as it allows them to zoom in, show more work in a small space, then zoom out and move forward. I would highly suggest using it with a touch screen, as it is easier to use than with just a mouse. Grading completed student work with Kami is a breeze. The downside is that it has been difficult, if not impossible, to edit pdf files. Kami makes pdf files user-friendly. You can add information, write notes, and even pull specific pages for use. When only 3 pages of 125 are needed, it takes only seconds to save the new file. When preparing for a presentation or reviewing for future use, it is simple to note, edit, or erase information. Now pdfs can be even more user-friendly...actually be used! **What do you dislike about Kami for G Suite?** I dislike the lack of training available; however, it takes only minutes to figure it out. **What problems is Kami for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?** In education, pdf's had to be printed for students to write on paper. Even those who had access to a device typically had to submit notes on a Google Doc or Word. I also wish that when you annotated or changed a document, there was some way for your device to then automatically pull up or show you where it has been saved to within your Google Docs. **Recommendations to others considering Kami for G Suite:** Consider that only some amount of time is free - then it is a paid subscription. When using this with students, be sure you include a "how to" video as it is user friendly, but needs to properly be installed on Chrome. Also be sure that the users understand where the files are stored within their Google Drive. The X button is very small so sometimes kids by accidentally click that when they are editing their work and then they have to rewrite all that they wrote. Kami almost always detects the stylus that kids are using but sometimes it does not. This then is hard for kids to use their stylus if Kami does not work. It also can be very slow sometimes but when we have kids close kami and then reopen, it usually will work **Recommendations to others considering Kami for G Suite:** Definitely use Kami for Remote Learning! Kami is easier to work with for me than Adobe because options are easily available from the sidebar and I can save to Google Drive right away or print. We are all cloud-based, so I never have to leave the browser. I also use Split and Merge a lot to combine documents. **What do you dislike about Kami for G Suite?** I do not have any complaints really. Occasionally it asks to upgrade to paid version, but not too often. Also, you can't have two versions of the same document marked up, it merges to the latest version seeing it as one document. The free version works quite flawlessly allowing you to edit on .PDFs in your Chrome browser. Kami offers the user the ability to highlight, add shapes or lines, add comments or notes. Advanced editing tools are also available. It docks quietly to the right of the browser when PDF links are opened and starts up without prompt. My favorite feature may be the ability to seamlessly share/upload content to Drive. **What do you dislike about Kami for G Suite?** No major concerns, but they have made some features "premium," which means they cost. This is not uncommon with edtech companies and happens all to often. But it is annoying that some features I once had access to are not available for free anymore. Another common first-time user frustration I hear about is learning the difference between the app and the extension.
