What do you like best about JumpStory?

I was lucky enough to get a lifetime deal which means I get away from the hooks of their competitors. It’s vast array of photos that just don’t look like stock pictures is probably one of the biggest selling points. I also really like the AI that they are incorporating, which really helps them stand out from the crowd. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpStory?

I will say that I’ve been in touch with the site about this and was promptly and effectively dealt with, but I wanted to see what I’d already downloaded and discovered I can’t. I was advised (and semi-discovered this myself), that by archiving and then downloading, you can replicate a download history. A prefect fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about JumpStory?

When searching for a graphic to use in a blog, social media, or other project, I always go to JumpStory first. While some of the choices are the same that you'll find on other photo download sites, many are unique to JumpStory. To avoid using the same graphics seen everywhere on the internet, JumpStory is the first option for me.

Jumpstory also includes a facility to erase backgrounds, which I have used a few times. It's handy to have it right there on the site instead of downloading a photo and then using another program to erase the background. Obviously background erasing works best when there's a clear difference between what is to be kept and what is not, so the quality of the results depends on the original picture.

I have not used the other editing tools, though I suppose in some cases they could be convenient. I've tried the crop tool, but it only allows cropping according to the aspect ratio. No way to trim the left side from a photo, for instance, without also trimming the top or bottom.

One thing unique about Jumpstory is the personal assistant. I have not used this feature, but according to the site, you can describe what you're seeking or provide and example and then ask the JumpStory staff to find the image for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpStory?

The indexing on JumpStory could be better. The site sometimes offers irrelevant graphics, that don't really apply to the query. Sometimes, if JumpStory can't find a good match, they seem to fill the results with random photos. Since the photos don't seem to be sorted by match relevance, you must scroll down quite a way to find an image that matches the query.

They have added a text match screen that uses AI to improve the matching. I have used it a few times, without much success.

Unlike some of the other online photo repositories, JumpStory seems to have a lower inventory. That means you won't always find what you need. Unless your image requirements are very common and generic, JumpStory can't be your only source, in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about JumpStory?

- Long trial period.

- It was interesting to find out about their unique features that I didn't find on any other website, and that is their promoted personal assistant or search assistant that helps you find the material you need according to your description that you send. They should reply within 24 hrs I think. I don't understand the need for this service as there are keywords for that. So basically it means describing what you need and waiting for another day for someone to search for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpStory?

- Poor customer support. Only polite until trial period is over and also after a bad review.

- Irrelevant search results (need to improve on the search engine).

- Lack of very artistic photos at least within my search results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Same photos as every free service, but they charge you"
What do you like best about JumpStory?

It’s easy to use and find the photos you’re looking for. Their selection is ok, but the same photos can be found in all other stock photo marketplaces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpStory?

Their photos selection is small, generic, and low quality. You can find the same photos for a cheaper price on other sites like Envato Elements.

Their customer service is the worst I have experienced in a while. I eventually cancelled which looked confirmed on the website, but then I was charged again. I received no cancellation email and when I went back to the website my account was still active. I went through this process again and experienced the same result. I finally reached out to Jumpstory customer support to explain the situation and they told me I should have received a cancellation email and needed that as proof that I had cancelled. Direct quote from their customer service rep, “I am sorry to inform you that If you didn't receive the confirmation email, it is your responsibility to reach out to us about it.”...that is what I was doing yet when I explained that I had not received a cancellation email they said there was nothing they could do and would not issue a refund. So they need a cancellation email as proof that the account was a cancelled, but I was never sent a cancellation email and the account remained active, so I cannot prove the account was cancelled. Long story short, stay away from Jumpstory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about JumpStory?

The AI-engine running the algorithms is very adept at finding what I want very fast. Impressed to see such variety and ease of use in this type of stock footage site. Good variety and a very warm and familiar feeling to all of the content.

The support team is absolutely amazing. They create a value that you just cannot put a prize on qs a company. Very responsive and listening in on the needs of the customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpStory?

In the start the engine did not really find images that well but it had learned and not it's working fine. They could brush up the UX a bit.

I am not a big fan of the yellow on black palette but I guess that is just taste. The content can sometimes be a bit bland in certain smaller niches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about JumpStory?

There are several things that set Jumpstory apart from the competition. One of them that happens to be my favorite is the "assistant" feature in which you can get folks to help you find appropriate photos. Combined with their AI recommendations engine that tells you what photos would return great results and their ability to match an image based on content you copy/paste into the appropriate field, it's a product that really is tough to beat.
