Apple has many inbuilt applications which are yet to be fully utilized, iTunes U is one of them.
The users have access to useful and free information. It definitely helps in upscalling ones professional knowledge.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

There are many courses available in the app, you need to brain storm and find the perfect one.
Only available for apple users so non apple users are not able to benefit from it, leading to limitation of its usage.
Apple had this App shutdown in Dec 2021. They should restart it soon.

ITunes U can help in browising different categories and start learning by yourself. Also, having access to free information which equal to knowledge and this is cool to have in a platform.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

It is really irritating every time I need to search and click on something, it will open a new path and get out of the application. Sometimes it is slow, idk why. Moreover, you can't use it on older devices version.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeking for extra knowledge, browsing new stuff that may grab your attention. Also, you wont need to waste your time and money in order to understand a subject or have undergone any courses you like

I like that iTunes U allows its users to learn basically anything they'd like. As an educator, I like to browse the app for ideas to use in the classroom.

  ### 8. you can see classes from wherever you want

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** cain a. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

I have access to a lot of free information, that is, other platforms charge you for it, iTunes U no, it gives the opportunity to develop knowledge without worrying about how much you are spending, it helps you to improve in your studies, for me one of the advantages is not having to leave home to enjoy it

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Something to note is that despite the fact that the courses are taught by large institutions, sometimes you get low-quality courses, which can not be fully used for the same reason, it is only available on the same Apple devices, but a serious advance that Apple allowed downloading on other OS

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

Keep in mind that when you have a question or point that you feel is not well explained, you have the opportunity to ask the relevant questions of the course to the teacher.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently I am taking courses to advance my professional career, iTunes U has helped me a lot in this process, since it has allowed me to make the most of time, while I carry out other activities, work or I am going to buy groceries, I can listen to podcasts. ### 9. ITUNES U is one of the best buffets of free education you can get

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan D. | Founder, CEO and Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

What I like best that i can find any lessons in education from over 500 universities and download almost any free pdf files from those class!
its like having a classroom/ digital schooling in your own home or coffee shop!
i was read lectures and watch classes from anywhere in the world and its free!
lets say you want to learn about Apps and biology, well ITunes U allows you to find whatever
school or university you want to learn from and download free classes all by using the search engine!

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

In the search engine, and the bottom of the search bar, there should be like the top 5 classes you can choose from. Also there should be a "news" feature on the app to help you keep up to date what new classes / lessons are available, as well as a email subscription.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

maybe partner with Udemy to optimize video lessons

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem Solutions:
The major problem i am solving with Itunes U, is that I am able to make up for graphic design classes ( I.E app design and UX design) that most in person universities don't. My old university didn't teach me UX and web design classes, I had to go to ITunes U as an alternative to learn instead.

Benefits: One of the major benefits I have found is that I don't have to choose just one university to learn specific classes on a specific subject. I can choose over 100 universities with different classes to choose from. There is an old saying, do not put all your eggs in one
basket. This is true esp. when i am learning about Iphone app software and life hacks!

  ### 10. learn what you want

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy A. | Social Media Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

It is a platform part of the itunes store with a large amount of knowledge, it offers countless free courses that we have access to wherever we go from our iPhone or Mac. These are downloadable and endorsed by recognized institutions, this shows its quality. The lessons are at the own pace of each user, stop to take notes, repeat the lesson, among others; This allows for better learning and better retention of knowledge. The courses come at all times in formats such as video, reading, audio, even direct. It allows us to subscribe to courses to stay tuned for updates. You can make discussion groups with other students, comment, rate; creating a pleasant atmosphere and good feedback. There are all kinds of content that adapts to the needs of each user, from the most practical to the theoretical. It adapts very well to University students and their teachers, thanks to the fact that with this tool, any teacher, previously placing their institutional data to support it, can use this platform as a perfect complement to their student's classes, making it more interactive, dynamic and comfortable.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Low-quality courses are often found, which do not allude to the entities that claim to be endorsed. I consider that they should regulate a little more, the veracity of the content that is uploaded to the platform. It is only available for Apple devices like Iphone, Ipad or Ipod touch; This limits users who have other types of devices.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

If you have any questions, this platform has the possibility to ask all the questions you need regarding the teacher's courses. This helps a lot with the practical exercises, thus having a constant guide that what has been learned is paying off correctly.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am constantly increasing my knowledge, in this ITunes U has given me a lot, with its practical courses in photography and even management of social networks, this has helped me significantly to improve professionally and personally. It has allowed me to take advantage of downtime and even listen to podcasts in the car when I go shopping.

  ### 11. I don't understand the point.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gia M. | Manager of Education and STEAM Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

I like that I can use it across multiple apple devices and have it sync up to my APPLE ID. I also like the interface, as always it's very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

I can't have it on older devices which makes it a bit expensive to have to get new apple devices. You have to pay for most things which makes it expensive again. I'm not sure what the point is outside of the app store and books because I haven't spent a lot of money on "courses."

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

none

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tried using it with some of the clubs I run with the Boys & Girls Club. I use iMovie, Pages, iTunes and now iTunesU and it's nice to keep things consistent across all of the Club's apple devices... but it's hard to get kids to understand how to use it so we stopped.

  ### 12. AMAZING

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria G. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

I love the fact that it is like a real classroom. You have comments and the professor can add videos and you can watch them at your own pace. It is very good and helpful for all the parents or the people that are working because you can study at random times during your day. You can stop your lesson anytime you want and continue it later, or the next time.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

I think I would prefer having more live video conferences. It would feel more like classroom. Now, even though I think that the material is efficient and everything is designed so well, still you do not really have the motivation to study. The truth is that on line education will never be able to replace face to face education.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

Find something that interests you.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can take as many courses as you want and you can try different subjects for free until you find what you are really interested in. Something that you would not have been able to do in real classroom, because you can not just take courses and then leave. Also, you do not waste time to drive to the university or waste money for the transportation to go there. You can educate yourself at the comfort of your own house.

  ### 13. A great way to learn on the go

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron S. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

I like how easy it is to access and find topics of interest. They make it easy to get connected into the class and you are off!

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

I wish it was accredited, while I love learning, getting credit for my classes would be nice!

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

Remember that these courses are lectures and can be lengthy. Give yourself time when wanting to listen or implement iTunes U into your classroom.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to dig deeper into subjects I have learned about in the past but would like more nuance on. I have been able to use the resources connected to the classes to further my learning, give to students for deeper learning, and I realized that iTunes U is an incredibly good deal considering the fact that you can listen to a Harvard or Berkley lecture on law for FREE!

  ### 14. Solid free resource for learning new skills and reviewing old ones

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

It's great for reviewing something for free. I also love that I can use it on my Mac and my iPhone wherever I may be.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Very clunky and I wish it would remember where you were when your device went to sleep.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

Recognize that you get what you pay for--it's free, so don't have extremely high expectations.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There's so many resources for free that can help you learn/review so much information. It's a great refresher both for educational courses and courses on how to use technology.

  ### 15. Easy to follow course learning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tushar A. | Teaching Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

Keep a collection of all the courses taking or save them for future. Simple interface

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Often gets slow while browsing, lag between tapping and opening. Sometimes gets clumpy and confusing

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

While many schools manages courses over blackboard learning. iTunes U is more simple and less complex for self paced learning

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Been taking French and Autocad courses over iTunes U, self paced and are very helpful especially when individuals can’t keep up with time

  ### 16. Learn more

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

I like the topics that are covered and the fact that I can access it on my ipad for free.

I have learned a lot of basic things like philisophy.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amrut B. | General Surgeon, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

The quality of learning provided by various books and courses are now available handy in your apple device. University courses at our finger tips.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Sometimes the lack of understanding over a subject creates a the need of an actual guide or teacher who makes us understand in a better way.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

Search for a desired learning course and get it done effectively.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning new topics. It is beneficial in gaining more knowledge.

  ### 18. iTunes U review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2020

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

Good and intuitive resources for online learning. Specifically, I want software that works well with Apple devices.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Not sufficiently extensive content and integration with other resources.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

There are many interesting courses available at iTunes U and the app works pretty well with Apple devices. However, there is limited availability of really good, highly rated courses, that make course searching a bit hard for new users.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learning from an app that works well with Apple devices. Yes, iTunes U is designed for Apple.

  ### 19. Great Teaching Tool for Online learning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

Great collection of courses and content.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to learn new skills and make myself more knowledgeable. It’s been quite helpful

  ### 21. Another way to take advantage of time

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruth H. | Associate Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

iTunes U offers me the opportunity to use the platform to listen to very didactic audios about different topics that interest me in universities and schools. The courses have high quality and are quite profitable. I like to navigate and explore courses that could be useful, there is a lot of content within the platform. The possibility of obtaining additional material to the course seems an excellent idea.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Many features can still be improved. The free courses are very inferior in quality to those paid and many are not worth it. There should be some quality control, especially with the free content offered.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

Currently there are other alternatives where quality over quantity is valued much more. However, there is a very important content that is only offered under this application and that deserves to be taken into consideration. For these reasons, I recommend the use of this software.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iTunes U has allowed me to be aware of different interesting topics and I have learned a lot about them. The amount of information you can find is extensive and very valuable.

  ### 22. Great for internal learning in your workplace

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lawrence L. | Marketing Coordinator , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

The best part of using iTunes U is the ability to work across multiple apple devices. We mostly work on MacBooks and iPads. The transition is usually pretty seamless. There are also some great free learning materials to learn about different apple products. This is also an amazing way to teach your self about coding. I think it is a smart option to further your education.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

We are still at the beginning of implementing employee learning, but so far we haven't seen a lot of limitations. We do have one employee who doesn't have an apple ID. We had to get him set up on his laptop. This wasn't too bad though. Another downside is that there can be an often saturated marketplace in the store section of the app. If you suffer from choice amnesia you could find yourself stressed about all of the options within the app.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

Take some time and find some free trainings. This can be great for businesses to use. This app is not just for classroom learning. This app is also free so you know that there is very minimal risk other than your time. I recommend finding a couple great books and courses.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using this for internal learning. When we are ready to implement a new apple applications across all our workflows, we will use this to take a quick learning seminar. Employees can then work on their assignments in their own time.

  ### 23. Great learning tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael J. | Mr, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

UI is simple. I truly like having the capacity to approach instructive recordings and sound.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

I abhor that you need an Apple ID to utilize it, is now and again a burden for non-apple clients.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

On the off chance that you are hunting down item with a huge client base and built up notoriety in training network. Profoundly suggested.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am ready to learn diverse errands that I can utilize everyday in my very own work. Having a devoted spot to go rather than unendingly scanning for various instructional exercises online is incredible and you can take courses and coursework from different establishments.

  ### 24. Best software ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy W. | Program Monitor, Individual & Family Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

What isn’t there to like about iTunes U? You can take almost any college course online for free! I have had the chance to explore different things I have been interested in without struggling to pay for it.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Pretty much the only down fall to this software is of course you can’t earn any credits or degrees but it’s free so you still can’t beat it.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This provides us to allow some additional training to employees who are moving into higher up positions without them having to spend the additional money for just one course.

  ### 25. I mean, what's not to like?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

I love that courses are affordable. Being able to take extra college classes without the pressure of paying thousands of dollars opens so many new doors. iTunes U offers new learning experiences and knowledge I never would have been able to have before.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Managing the software for the first time can be a bit tricky. I originally disliked how hard it was to navigate and find certain courses and textbooks. However, after working in the software for a bit longer, I found it easier. I also dislike the prices for some courses that I would really enjoy. A trial period for courses would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering iTunes U:**

I would recommend ensuring that your company's electronics are compatible with iTunes U. I would recommend using iTunes U on an iPad because the ease of use increases exponentially on a bigger screen. I would also recommend keeping assignments organized outside of iTunes U in case there is an error uploading/sharing documents.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employees are able to take courses without having to go out of their way. Often times, companies want their employees well-versed in one certain area, but have a hard time doing so without boring trainings or day-long sessions. iTunes U offers a happy medium.

  ### 26. Great Resource for Learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmin B. | Senior SEO Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

Using iTunes U for learning different workplace tasks has been a great experience. I was able to learn more about digital marketing and SEO through several courses, and there are free courses available. If you want to learn more about something, check out iTunes U for different course topics.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

There isn't really anything to dislike. The user interface is simple enough to navigate, and works well for many different styles of learners.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to learn different tasks that I can use day-to-day in my own work. Having a dedicated place to go instead of endlessly searching for different tutorials online is great.

  ### 27. ITunesU - Nice for a quick brush-up on forgotten topics

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

I found iTunesU on a whim when i was looking for something to help me get back into college-level calculus. They have full textbook-like courses available that I could read through and swiftly get myself reacquainted.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

I found the process to actually get subscribed to the course confusing and cumbersome, so I ended up just downloaded individual chapters of the textbook, which seemed easiest.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can quickly do a search on iTunesU is there is a topic that someone needs to know, but that I am not well-verses in. As long as they have a device that supports the app, they can subscribe to the course and begin learning.

  ### 28. iTunes U on the Move

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathy D. | BA/Residential Counselor, Individual & Family Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2019

**What do you like best about iTunes U?**

I really like being able to have access to educational videos and audio. While there are many other websites that also offer this feature, itunesU is more enjoyable because not only is it free, but can be accessed from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about iTunes U?**

Dislikes are not being able to view things from the teacher side only from the student side. Also the fact that you need to have an appleID to use it, is sometimes an inconvenience for non-apple users.

**What problems is iTunes U solving and how is that benefiting you?**

t has served as a great communicator between teachers and students.

  ### 29. On the go education

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)
