Some of the most popular international platforms use their service to detect frauds and prevent bots into their system so It's not a poor service in my opinion, however they really need to work on the VPN detection feature. **What do you dislike about IPQS?** I actually used their VPN detection service for a while and it's not as accurate as it should be. It even couldn't analyze my own IP properly and the accuracy wasn't enough for me to only rely on it as my primary VPN and proxy detection tool. **Recommendations to others considering IPQS:** Before starting using the service ask the support team for more information because their service is very wide and you may get confused by their plans. They will also let you try some of the services for limited usage, which is why it drew a lot of attention. You can try the live IP lookup feature as well which was the main feature I was looking for. They also provide additional plans in case you need more advanced features or get a huge amount of traffic per month. **What problems is IPQS solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main usage is the VPN and proxy detection which is necessary for our service. I found the service beneficial to locate my users and find good information about my user IPs so that this information isn't available on other similar services. **Official Response from Dave Mackler:** > Hi Amir - thank you for the feedback! We do have over 50 settings to better optimize scoring for your audience. Since 2021, we've also released smarter scoring models to more intelligently analyze IPs with better accuracy. Our user dashboard automatically whitelists your own IP address during login, so that's likely why you noticed an issue with the results for your own IP when testing from a VPN. I would recommend retesting and please reach out to us so we can optimize your account's settings. ### 13. When you use mailing lists that have not been verified for a long time or that you have never verified, and you check them with this software, you will see that a large part of those emails are already useless (because they are temporary emails or because they are addresses that their owners no longer use or have disappeared), and it is a waste of time and money to try to interact with them.
