The part of the program that really works well for me is that I can get both an email check and an IP check done using the same keystroke as opposed to having to pay for two different services and input two different API keys (as I was doing prior) and I simply enter the list of clients and it will tell me what addresses are good, what are disposable, what are spam traps, what has abuse reports filed against them within the last few days, etc., and the score will be directly adjacent to each address so I won’t have to spend all day guessing which addresses need to be removed. My bounce rate on our outreach efforts fell from around 10% to less than 1%, which is the sole reason I continue to purchase this service. It has also identified numerous Gmail addresses that have experienced abuse recently – and Gmail generally appears to look clean – therefore I probably wouldn’t have found these myself. I buy blocks of credits – and they’re gone in two weeks – because every single “lookup” consumes one of them – and if you’re checking both email and phone along with the IP on the same individual – that’s three of them – so regardless of how the pricing page may read, it is not one “check” per contact. The score is also merely a number — i.e., it says 93 and provides absolutely no additional information — therefore when someone contacts me asking why their address was blocked — I honestly don’t know and therefore I simply shrug and take back the refund. Additionally, it flags everyone who uses a VPN — I had a man on a company laptop at a hotel who spent forty minutes unable to complete his checkout — while I was talking to him during that time. I like that it removes these bad accounts prior to sending out emails. My deliverability has gone from about 89% to nearly 99%. I was getting suspended by my isp due to excessive bounces but Ipqs filters the dead emails first. It hasn't disrupted my workflow since my staff began using it. I don't like that even though I'm buying credits I use them all up very quickly because of how large my database is. Even small uploads take several minutes to produce a report. Sometimes the tool identifies certain emails as risky however it does not provide the reasons why therefore I am required to make an educated decision whether I want to remove those emails. I only really care about the fraud score line in the API call. I take the users' IP address and their Email (at checkout) and receive a number back along with some True/False Flags. Then I simply use a 90% cut-off to make my decision. This took less than an hour to write in and since I am not a real developer, I simply copied and pasted until it worked. I also liked how it replaced two Paid Subscriptions for me, I was paying One company to validate Emails and Another company to determine the Reputation of IPs. Now, I have one key, one price and that saved me a lot of money as a business. When I lost my test key due to a mistake I got a reply from Support within hours. It is completely opaque. I get "Score 93", but no explanation of why or what criteria caused the number to pass. So, when I do have to issue a refund because someone passed through fraud detection without knowing why I don't know how to answer the question so I just shrug and pay the refund. The second complaint is related to this; it torches everyone using VPNs. We had a customer on a work laptop in a Hotel who could not complete checkout for Forty Minutes while my phone would keep changing his name into something else every time I tried to enter the notes in the ticket. The only reason I even somewhat care about using ipqs is because of the quality of support from Shabtay and his team. The tool simply checks IP addresses and emails for fraud and it works well. Having all the fraud checks in one place keeps me from having to open 50 different windows and when a Proxy Score appears to be suspicious, I can quickly contact the Support Team and he responds. The Dashboard looks like it was made in 2002. Loading the Data in order to receive an immediate response takes far too long. They place restrictions on the amount of Data that may be exported at one time. Exporting the Publisher Data in Bulk is a huge hassle. I have to complete a Security Check each Time I sign into the Login Screen. Staring at multiple computer screens throughout my day causes eye fatigue and I am extremely frustrated with being forced to prove I am a human being each Morning. Creating Custom Fraud Rules seems to be very difficult. Generally, I will provide up the fight to create these and ask my Account Manager to handle them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

IPQS is one of the best services I've tried for detecting VPNs and residential proxies, especially since it provides FS, allowing me to determine the extent of the damage caused by the IP address. IPQualityScore has been the most helpful tool in my nine years of experience fighting fraud in online transactions and since we can perform deep analyses using it, we can eliminate almost any possibility of fake chargebacks and increase our authorization rates with their chargeback guarantee system. While IPQualityScore is a great fraud prevention tool, the web portal is rather slow and it would also be great if they could support the Asian market further, in particular and update me when the algorithm is changed as I would greatly appreciate it and this would greatly help me enhance my strategies of fraud prevention. I value IPQS very much as it offers much higher speed, dependability and accuracy than my previous vendor and fast reaction times and excellent dependability make us much more suited to quickly screen prospective clients. While it’s a great service, IPQS is quite expensive when put against other IP lookup companies out there and for small tasks, it gets pretty hard to rationalize even if those other options aren’t as exact since the cost variance is fairly hefty. The manual email check feature found in IPQS is actually one that I like best that it enables me to thoroughly verify email accounts associated with transactions and I also find the fraud scoring, web profiling and data breach options extremely useful for daily operations. Also, I just like the general interaction of IPQS with our systems; it brings strong fraud detection without really forcing more systems to be that much more complicated, which is very good. IPQS may be deceptively slow as processes tend to take far too many change approvals. Opening too many panels at once may slow down the platform, decreasing its efficiency and I also need external tools for better data analysis because it doesn't provide such complex tools. With IPQS we were able to upgrade our security systems and the appeal of IPQS is very great to me because it enables us to validate user digital identities without going through the manual or kyc verification process.
