I transfered my domain from another company (Hostgator). What I like the most about IONOS is that I get privacy by default (and at no extra cost), so my personal details are not exposed to the public. Using IONOS' certificate, my site always shows as secure (plus, I'm saving 70 USD/year). Managing my domain works like every other provider (I can create subdomains, buy new domains at discount prices for the first year, and manage DNS records), the only real advantage I see with my previous provider is that I get domain privacy for free.
