When we originally signed up with Insperity, our account was established with two companies under the same relationship. Since the companies have separated, we've had difficulty getting the separation fully completed in your system. I use Insperity as our HR and payroll partner, and I appreciate their generally efficient payroll process. The employee self-service tools let employees access payroll and benefits information without needing HR intervention, which is really helpful. Having access to knowledgeable HR and compliance resources when questions arise is something I value a lot. Their guidance on employment-related matters, benefits administration, and state-specific compliance requirements is excellent. I also find their videos, training, and guidance beneficial. Insperity combines technology with access to HR professionals, managing payroll, benefits administration, and compliance tasks all in one place, saving a significant amount of administrative time. One area that would continue to improve is responsiveness for certain support requests, as some issues may require coordination across multiple teams before resolution. Navigating the full suite of services can have a learning curve because of the breadth of features available. Additionally, if I could change one thing about the service approach, it would be to further improve response times and coordination when requests involve multiple departments. Most issues are resolved successfully, but occasionally a question may need input from the payroll, benefit, HR, or compliance team, which can extend the time needed to reach a final resolution. Straightforward tasks—like pulling up reports, checking time off, or making edits—end up buried under multiple menus, which causes frustration and wasted time. The biggest benefit is that they handle all the stressful HR back-end work—paychecks, taxes, workers’ comp, and staying compliant with the law—which really helps take the weight off our shoulders. They also provide a wide range of HR resources on the topics we need, including onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, and safety materials. I also appreciate the ability to customize training modules for specific staff, and the fact that consulting with an HR specialist is easy to access and consistently helpful. I really appreciate our payroll administrator, Maggie, and our HR specialist, Katharine. What do you dislike about Insperity? When our contacts are not available, it is difficult to navigate the portal and phone tree to get an answer. For example, I spent a long time to do something as simple as wanting to update our Holiday calendar. When I enter holiday into the search function, none of the links were correct. Recommendations to others considering Insperity: If you have employees that are in multiple states and want to offer a competitive benefits package, it is hard to beat Insperity's offering. Their payroll and benefits administration has been proven reliable from Day 1, and I never have to worry about being out of compliance with the various regulatory guidelines that may differ from state-to-state. Also, we have really appreciated that they have kept our annual increases manageable, even with skyrocketing health insurance costs...this is so critical, and can make or break smaller sized organizations! I find Insperity easier to use and they provide more help when I have questions. The employees respond very quickly and are very helpful, especially when I need answers to payroll questions to finish entering payroll data. I also enjoy the time and attendance feature, and the quick and easy access to the information I need. Their support is quick to reply and very helpful, which has been a big help since I'm not very comfortable with computers and their staff's patience has made a huge difference. What I like best about Insperity is that I can manage all HR-related needs and activities in one place. Also, as a small company, it's difficult to find benefits for our employees. Insperity allows us to access benefits only a much larger company would normally be able to access. Also, our HR Specialist is fantastic. Occasionally, the system doesn't always talk with itself. For a while, I was having issues with the Leave of Absence system as well as the Time and Attendance system. It took more work than it should have to resolve issues. Fortunately, we now have a dedicated Time and Attendance specialist who is able to quickly resolve issues with Time and Attendance, so any issues I've had with Insperity have largely been reduced. Recommendations to others considering Insperity: I did a lot of research looking into PEOs and other options when looking to provide benefits for our employees. The options out there are limited and Insperity seemed like the best option. I still feel that it's the best option. There were a few bumps in the road, but Insperity has improved in the areas in which I was experiencing issues in the short time (around nine months) since we started working with them. My advice is to utilize your internal Insperity team members and ask for help. I've had good experiences with most Insperity team members and have found the ones I can most rely on. We use Insperity for all HR-related activities - payroll, timesheet management, 401(k), medical, dental and vision benefits as well as other benefits. I appreciate using Insperity for outsourcing both HR processes and payroll because it has been very helpful for our organization. Our HR representative is fantastic; she's very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to ensure we have the information we need while limiting risks, especially in handling delicate situations. The payroll follow-up to make changes specific to our organization has also run smoothly. We've had to follow up with multiple individuals for payroll services with intermittent leave to ensure we've done everything needed for our employees.
