I have found, as an Owner's Representative, that Ingenious is a great tool to manage design, permitting, bidding to general contractors, managing the project budget, schedule, contracts management and sharing files and all project information with my clients. It is easy to use and there are plenty of tutorials to guide you through anything that can't easily be figured out. The very best thing I love, though, is the customer service. As with any PMIS package, there is a learning curve and I've made a couple of mistakes when setting up my first projects. That said, the learning curve for Ingenious has been so much shorter than I have experienced in the past with eBuilder or Procore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I value most about Ingenious is the flexibility to tailor various tools and functions to meet specific client requirements. The Meetings tool has been particularly effective in project settings—intuitive, easy to set up, and straightforward to navigate.

Ingenious.Build is a very thorough and intuitive project management software. The platform is very user friendly and easy to navigate. Customer Support is very responsive to questions and does well to communicate the status of tickets as it moves through the process. The structure is fairly rigid so project/Client/personal preferences on how to analyze cost data is limited to the format in place. The other concern, which is also a benefit, is the constant evolution of the software. The team at Ingenious.Build really strives to be cutting edge and regularly updates the software to provide new portals and services, which is great, but it also takes a bit of time to keep up. What I like best about INGENIOUS.BUILD is the submittals module. It simplifies the entire workflow and makes tracking clear and organized. The system structures the submittal process from creation to review and final approval, which reduces manual follow up and email chains.

The tracking feature gives clear visibility of each submittal status, including who is reviewing it and where it sits in the approval process. This improves coordination between contractors, consultants, and internal teams. It also helps avoid delays because overdue items are easy to identify and follow up.

What I dislike about INGENIOUS.BUILD is that it does not provide a document register similar to the one available in Oracle Aconex. A structured document register would improve tracking, reporting, and overall document control across the project lifecycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Ingenious.Build is one of the few, if not the only, project management information systems that allows you to create, as well as import and export fully functional CPM schedules. The user interface is extremely intuitive if you are used to working with similar systems. My company purchased the custom reporting module that is actually a third party module. Unfortunately, that custom reporting module has not lived up to its promise and we have yet to find a good use for it. This custom reporting module was sold to us to be able to automate our manual weekly reporting. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate Ingenious.Build for its great onboarding process and its ability to tie everything together without allowing formula mistakes, which is especially helpful for financials. I enjoy using it specifically for overseeing overall project budgets as it helps ensure there are no formula errors like those that might occur with Excel plus you can upload your standard company phase code templates. Ingenious.Build is a little bit more clunky compared to previous platforms I've used when it comes to some of the PM items, like Procore. Poor scheduling exports, contacts tied to emails make it hard to add new users (this has gotten better but it is still a pain), more pdf exports on the budgeting, no mass import of excel accounting data, there needs to be portfilio exports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the reporting feature of Ingenious.Build, which is a huge part of our project managers' jobs to report out all their entries. It allows us to provide our clients with information about multiple budgets or project health simply and efficiently. I think the forms and the entries that come with it could be a bit more easier to understand, additionally we have PMs that still struggle with entering budgets. Making it simpler to understand could help, I think at first it can overwhelm our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Ingenious.Build for its organization, especially the features related to meeting minutes, invoicing, cover letters, drawing storage, budget input, and budget management. The organizational aspect is really easy for me to use when providing information to a client. I also appreciate the accuracy in budget reporting, and it makes communication a lot easier. There are often bugs in the system that I don't know about until I report them. So I spend quite a bit of time trying to fix things that I can't fix. The forms section is weak for what we do. They could be better titled and more specific. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ease of use of Ingenious.Build. It's very powerful with its tools for financial tracking and client reporting.
