The most helpful aspect about Edgenuity is the most obvious: it offers students a second chance to recover credits if they failed a class the first time around. Also, it's highly useful that both A-G and Non A-G versions can be offered for the classes, which really helps the lower achieving students who only really want to get their diploma. What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity? I honestly don't have really much of anything that I necessarily dislike about the platform. One element I would like added, and I might even be able to figure this out in the Settings, is to have an email sent when a student completes a class. I know that the student can email me themselves, but it would be nice to have an email from Edgenuity right when a student completes their Final Exam. The reason being is there are times when I unlock a test, the student doesn't finish it in time, then they end up logging back on and finishing the test two weeks later. If I had all of my students in a classroom with me every day, this wouldn't be a problem, but the majority of my students are working Independently, so I don't always know where they're at, and when they've completed a class. Edgenuity gives our students a Second Chance to make up classes that they have failed previously. I know that this has been around for a while, but I think it's a big deal because I didn't have an opportunity like this when I was in high school. We had to take the exact class over again, during the school year, or take it during the summer somehow. The reality is that before we were offering Credit Recovery at our school, a lot more students were being sent to Alternative Education to 'catch up' on any classes that he or she failed. Often I am given a sticky note with the following: "Jane Doe needs 1 semester of Biology," I have to click on sign student up for class and can limit it by grade and type but I still have to scroll through pages until I find Biology CR A. I have been working for a disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) for over 4 years in USA, and even though my formation as a mathematician allows me to explain any concept of high school math, the dynamic nature of a DAEP (a "revolving" door of students being exited from or entered into the program), plus the fact that in a single classroom I can have a mixture of students from any grade (9-12), would make very impractical to try to make a proper lesson plan for everyone. Thus, Edgenuity has been a good auxiliary for me. Also, Edgenuity offers differentiation, because quizzes and tests can be tweaked to show more or less questions. Some activities can be bypassed, too . So, in sum, what I like best of Edgenuity is it's versatility and adaptability for complex classroom environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I like to add an orientation video to my courses outside of Edgenuity explaining my expectations for participation and work quality. I work in an alternative school setting daily. I love that if a student is motivated, they set the pace for the class and if they work ahead, we can assign them additional courses. It truly has all the bells and whistles to support students across the entire academic spectrum ranging from Advanced Placement learners to those with 504 plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and everyone in between. One of the features I appreciate most is how well Edgenuity blends rigor with flexibility. The platform is thoughtfully built to meet students where they are while still maintaining high academic standards. For educators, once you've received proper training, it’s incredibly intuitive and fully equipped to handle everything from parent communication to state-mandated attendance tracking. Even better, much of it is electronically transferable, streamlining processes that used to require hours of manual documentation. Customer support is another area where Edgenuity shines. Their live support options are excellent, whether it’s a quick 15-minute Q&A session or a more in-depth, pre-scheduled 90-minute session. Every interaction I’ve had with the support team was met with professionalism, friendliness, and timely responsiveness. In today’s evolving educational landscape, where traditional classroom settings are being reimagined, Edgenuity offers a future-forward solution. Our district has implemented Edgenuity in all of our online programs for the past 6 years. This includes offering initial credit courses, credit recovery courses, summer school, and numerous intervention programs. We have been very satisfied with the learning platform, the ability for customization, the data available, and the course options. The customer service is also very responsive and dedicated. Edgenuity has launched a new platform called EdgeEX, which has a more modern feel and is very promising for the future; it will just need some more development time. Imagine Edgenuity is a flexible and easily attainable online program that helps students to gain the skills they need for college and/or a career. Also, I enjoy Imagine Edgenuity because it also supports to catch up, keep up, or get ahead with credits that are needed for graduation. This reduces the drop-out rates, increase student self-esteem, and curtail other chronic behavior problems. The Imagine Edgenuity program is very easy to implement and will support student use daily for at home and on campus. The program supports intervention and there is an ease of integrating the students with technology tools and orienting the students using a number of built-in resources. FInally, I will say customer support enhances the program by offering multiple ways of communication via email or their online chat platform.
