Also, it's highly useful that both A-G and Non A-G versions can be offered for the classes, which really helps the lower achieving students who only really want to get their diploma. Lastly, I find it extremely useful that I can modify classes, which works really well if I have a student who gets accommodations from an IEP or a 504. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** I honestly don't have really much of anything that I necessarily dislike about the platform. One element I would like added, and I might even be able to figure this out in the Settings, is to have an email sent when a student completes a class. I know that the student can email me themselves, but it would be nice to have an email from Edgenuity right when a student completes their Final Exam. The reason being is there are times when I unlock a test, the student doesn't finish it in time, then they end up logging back on and finishing the test two weeks later. If I had all of my students in a classroom with me every day, this wouldn't be a problem, but the majority of my students are working Independently, so I don't always know where they're at, and when they've completed a class. **What problems is Imagine Edgenuity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Edgenuity gives our students a Second Chance to make up classes that they have failed previously. I know that this has been around for a while, but I think it's a big deal because I didn't have an opportunity like this when I was in high school. We had to take the exact class over again, during the school year, or take it during the summer somehow. The reality is that before we were offering Credit Recovery at our school, a lot more students were being sent to Alternative Education to 'catch up' on any classes that he or she failed. The problem is that the students often just stayed there, at the Alternative school, rather than transferring back once they've made up the work. ### 2. It allows these students to go more deeply on what they need to review but quickly move past they don't The Pre-test features are idea for them. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** When signing up students for classes there isn't a search for class function. Often I am given a sticky note with the following: "Jane Doe needs 1 semester of Biology," I have to click on sign student up for class and can limit it by grade and type but I still have to scroll through pages until I find Biology CR A. IF I could do a simple text search that would be great. **What problems is Imagine Edgenuity solving and how is that benefiting you?** In stead of me having to teach a dozen or so different courses I can instead have a dozen student in the same classroom working on their dozen different classes online through Edgenutiy ### 3. Dynamic environment **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Arturo O. | classroom teacher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2025 **What do you like best about Imagine Edgenuity?** I have been working for a disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) for over 4 years in USA, and even though my formation as a mathematician allows me to explain any concept of high school math, the dynamic nature of a DAEP (a "revolving" door of students being exited from or entered into the program), plus the fact that in a single classroom I can have a mixture of students from any grade (9-12), would make very impractical to try to make a proper lesson plan for everyone. Thus, Edgenuity has been a good auxiliary for me. Also, Edgenuity offers differentiation, because quizzes and tests can be tweaked to show more or less questions. Some activities can be bypassed, too . So, in sum, what I like best of Edgenuity is it's versatility and adaptability for complex classroom environments. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** Personally I wish I could see organize and see when and what quizzes have been answered, and also if I could see all my students (say) in algebra 2, without going one by one (as I said, being in a DAEP entails having a complex mixture, which I need to figure out in different ways for proper supervision). So, Edgenuity is versatile, but it seems optimized for single classroom/topic. Anytime I have a problem, I am talking to a real person in minutes. Setting up courses is easy and they can be modified to add additional assignments or off computer work to supplement the Edgenuity course. I like to add an orientation video to my courses outside of Edgenuity explaining my expectations for participation and work quality. I work in an alternative school setting daily. I love that if a student is motivated, they set the pace for the class and if they work ahead, we can assign them additional courses. This year alone, I have had a number of students work ahead and they have graduated at least a semester early. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** My only wish is that Edgenuity had a feature that automatically detected AI in students assignments and would automatically reject the work with an error message. Otherwise, students turn in work completly done by AI and keep working ahead. Our students get confused between complete count and relative grade. Finishing is the goal as opposed to learning. Practices can be a bit more "prove understanding" before moving to assignments. More of a thorough walk through hiding through the process. Asking them leading question so they can work through the logic. Its comprehensive, standards-aligned courses make the ease of implementation and integration seemless and easy for teachers and students. It offers real-time data tracking which we are able to use to personalize learning, support diverse student needs, and use as motivation for high school students to effectively and efficiently complete their courses. We receive great support from our Customer Success Manager in terms of timeliness, creativity, and problem-solving. Our Professional Learning Specialist has given us what feels like individualized attention, providing useful and targeted staff development on topics we request with the ability to grow this information in our team throughout the school year. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** The biggest drawback of Imagine Learning Edgenuity is its limited interactivity and engagement tools, which can lead to student disengagement and contributes to a lack of student desire to work in the course. We are looking to move into EdgeEX courses to improve this aspect of usage. Another significant drawback of Imagine Learning Edgenuity is its customer service from the support desk. Their responses are often delayed, citing the need to escalate our request to senior team members. We may have reolution within 1 to 2 weeks of a request. When a answer is received, it can neglect information we citing in our request, it can be inaccurate or unhelpful, making basic suggestions that do not help us resolve our issue. This creates frustration for both teachers and administrators trying to resolve technical or content-related issues. **What problems is Imagine Edgenuity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Imagine Edgenuity provides courses aligned to our state's standards that focuses on personalized learning through interactive, engaging content. The solution of providing a quality curriculum in a virtual format give sus course variety, including core courses, electives, AP courses, and credit recovery options. This variety help our district meet the diverse needs of our student population while staying aligned with the TEKS. It incorporates multimedia elements, interactive tools, and gamified features to make learning more engaging helping to increase motivation and retention for the students who use thees courses. ### 21. The administrative backend of the product has excellent report capabilities allowing teachers, administrators and students to understand their progress and achievement within the course. The platform has multiple assessment types, including essays and multiple choice. The platform can also auto-grade essay questions through an artificial intelligence engine. The platform can be set up to be interoperable with a school district's single sign-on solution, student information system or another platform that allows student accounts to be automatically set up. If a community did not wish to do this, they also had the option of manually enrolling students. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** The courses are contained within a proprietary platform, and you cannot export the course material into another learning management system that you may be more familiar with. While the reporting is good, it can't be linked with other success factors like attendance, discipline, etc. Initial set-up can be tricky and does require some training. I would not say that it is intuitive, but an individual can pick up on the set-up with help from the company. Edgenuity uses different metrics to determine success which can be confusing for a teacher or administrator looking at a scale of red, orange and green. Some of these metrics are time spent in the product, grades and whether the student is on pace or not. **What problems is Imagine Edgenuity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our school district has been able to deliver online courses to students who may be required to complete coursework in an at-home learning situation. We also have allowed students to recover failed credits using the credit recovery courses that Edgenuity offers within their platform. Sometimes we have students too young to attend our high school alternative school, and we serve them through Edgenuity in an at-home learning environment with teacher supervision. ### 29. Edgenuity makes it easy for me as a "domain administrator" to create courses and enrollments. Then, using the platform's Reports feature, I can find out where my students are at a glance, or by doing a deep dive into their progress. Edgenuity allows me to check student progress across multiple metrics: I can see how a student is doing based on what they've completed, or based on time elapsed in a course, or as a mix of both metrics. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** My only critique of Edgenuity is in regard to its grading and feedback engine, especially for English/Language Arts Teachers, or anyone who needs to give feedback on student writing. The process for getting to student work is laborious (requiring multiple clicks to get to the actual student submission), and a significant number of these clicks must be repeated superfluously if you are grading multiple students' submissions in a single sitting. As for grading student writing, Edgenuity's feedback engine doesn't allow me to comment on specific aspects of a written submission; instead, it gives a general comments box at the end. I'd like to see this updated to allow for comments, highlights, etc. **What problems is Imagine Edgenuity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Edgenuity has been instrumental in our virtual school program's success. It gets high marks from our teachers, both for ease of use, and for alignment to our standards. It is also beneficial to give classes that we do not administer in person - this way; our students can learn the content independently. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** We like the feature where we can enter parents' information - this way, they can track their own child's progress. This platform makes you waste a lot of time. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** This platform asks me as a teacher to unlock to materials that are outdated and outright obsolete. The platform does not present grammar pretty well either, they show what is right and what it wrong but do not "explain" it to meet the needs of the learners who need interactivity and actual instruction with engagement. When presenting Grammar Edgenuity falls behind behind it does not have an explainer video about it. The platform also has ludicrous activities that have nothing to do with instruction such as in World Language Spanish the Queen's ball activities, or the formulate grammar rule based on essays' long texts explainers, or the Culture Gram activities. This platform is outdated and it glitches at times. I also do not like how busy it is with all sorts of random data floating all over the place. Lots of control and monitoring applications in program. I work with middle and high school students so the monitoring tools come in super handy. Students find this system easy to navigate and easy to understand. There are clear and concise monitoring tools for students! They know exactly what their grade is as well as what percent complete. **What do you dislike about Imagine Edgenuity?** While using this program there have been some glitches for students when they are working. They may not be allowed to move on to the next lesson so some students can become irritated. Simple remedy to back and log back in but it can be frustrating.
