Also, the support service is excellent and fixes issues very quickly. I think the service is very adaptive and can cater to each client's needs, which we like a lot. **What do you dislike about Imagen?** When you start on the platform, it can be a bit overwhelming for someone not used to the site, and the inbuilt user guide is not the most helpful. Imagen is fixing this by adding an extra tab where we can add our user guides, so the problem is resolved now. **What problems is Imagen solving and how is that benefiting you?** As stated above, they are changing the platform to fit our needs. They have changed the layout so it is more relevant to our needs and keep informing us of new updates to the site that might best suit us. ### 2. The user-friendly platform has taken a load off of our production departments which in the past would send files to our schools manually. Account Managers and Support Teams are always available. **What do you dislike about Imagen?** It would be beneficial to be able to migrate media logs to Imagen from 3rd party MAM systems. **What problems is Imagen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Files are downloaded and accessible to us much quicker. The flexibility of the software and the inbuilt functionality makes it a "one-stop-shop" for us, we no longer require different software packages to produce the final product, it's all integrated into the one reliable, secure platform. **What do you dislike about Imagen?** Imagen allows you a great deal of administrative access into the back areas of the platform, we worry that we will mess something up! The platform is continually evolving, if there's a feature you want, or changes to be made, they will add, take away or invent them to improve their product. **Recommendations to others considering Imagen:** Imagen thrives on detail, tell them everything including future aspirations and current requirements. Don't be afraid to ask question after question or for further detail on their responses. **What problems is Imagen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using Imagen allows us to protect and subsequently share regimental museum archive collections with the public in one place. It provides the museum staff with tools to engage with and improve their catalogues, educate and share with the public and produce a revenue stream to improve their long term sustainability. 20,000 online visitors in less than 6 months have generated income, interest, publicity and pride in those collections. The museums state they've received more media attention and have seen visitor numbers increase as awareness of their holdings increases. ### 4. After extensive research we began our discussions with Imagen and found the personnel to be very helpful in understanding our aims. The software is a game changer in the way that we store and search for content across the whole force. The ongoing support from the simplest of questions to some specific needs have all been responded to quickly and professionally. **What do you dislike about Imagen?** Not much. Some of the back end Admin areas could do with review to make it more user-friendly for admins. Perhaps some more support videos around various features would be useful too. **What problems is Imagen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Three problems: 1. Content stored on multiple devices across the RAF 2. Content not catalogued and not accessible (no easy way to find / not accessible outside of military systems) 3. Same content recreated by disparate groups as they were not aware it was already available All three problems have now been resolved, with a much larger user base interacting with content on a daily basis. ### 17. We feel that in a short space of time we have created with Imagen's help a video archive capable of providing all our stakeholders with a smart, reliable and quick product. The turnaround time on extractions to downloads is very impressive and we feel that the look and feel of the site is very high end. We've also had a great customer experience working with our account managers who are always there whenever we have any urgent requirements or need to make any large amendments to the system. **What do you dislike about Imagen?** At this current stage not having the search function to look through the entire archive and for the results to be combined is what we feel is missing. We'd like the ability to search all matches for specific filters and have the results return to us in a unique list. Currently if we were looking for every specific instance of something happening to appear in one search return we would have to go through them one by one. I do however believe with the great support we receive from the Imagen team we will eventually get there. **Recommendations to others considering Imagen:** Imagen provides fantastic service and has really taken our product to the next level. **What problems is Imagen solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a vast amount of footage dating back decades and to have it in such an organized, easy to use and intuitive system is really important to us. In such a fast paced environment such as video production it is crucial the platform allows us to access the required footage quickly and painlessly. In the short time we've been working with Imagen we've definitely found that the platform is capable of meeting these requirements. We are also trying to combine all our video platforms in to one product that can serve our requirements out in the field on a daily basis. Regular updates, weekly calls and prompt responses to queries has enabled us to utilize the platform to it's full capabilities and create solutions to our problems as they arise. We have also requested several integrations with 3rd party platforms outside the scope of our agreement, which have all been achieved successfully. **What do you dislike about Imagen?** We are somewhat limited by what the product allows us to do. For example, we would like to filter records by multiple different annotations in the search results window but this is not currently possible. The user organization/department/group structure is somewhat fragmented, which has taken considerable effort to fully understand. **Recommendations to others considering Imagen:** I would highly recommend the platform to any federation or body with vast quantities of media requiring organisation. I would recommend others that require complex tiers of user access and permissions to fully understand the capabilities and administration of the platform prior to onboarding users. **What problems is Imagen solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to house all ICC media assets within a single location for the first time, with the ability to limit user access and permissions to any required level of detail. ### 19. At this moment, Imagen's capabilities far exceed our need, and we look forward to growing into the robust media management and delivery capabilities. Additionally, we've asked a number of times for feature requests and customizations, and the Imagen staff has been wonderful; many of these requests were handled quickly, and a few are on the docket for later implementation. **What do you dislike about Imagen?** Imagen is designed for businesses that deal in tremendous amounts of media. We're a smaller organization with less intricate sharing and distribution needs. We're still in our first year of using Imagen, and it's got more bells and whistles than we need. This can can make it complicated for those who aren't in the interface regularly. Additionally, most of our users simply need to upload media and quickly grab an embed code to place media on a website. The smart--though not terribly intuitive--privacy settings will require some extra assistance as we work with our less-frequent staff/students/users. **Recommendations to others considering Imagen:** Imagen is a bit more expensive than others products, but it's focus on serving businesses effectively help us skew toward it. It has capabilities that other designed-for-higher ed products don't, and we look forward to tapping into those tools as well. **What problems is Imagen solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our home grown MAM was showing its age. Some of the competitors have very functional storage and distribution capability, but often those interfaces and capabilities are also built on older concepts. Imagen is forward thinking and gives us more capability than limitations. We'll continue to move our existing media assets into Imagen . . . while also uploading and working with the new ones that pour in weekly. ### 29.
