**Describe the project or task iDSS helped with:**

I used iDSS at a Convention and Visitors Bureau for several years. I was in the marketing department, and we used it to track all of our advertising, tasks, spend, and member information. I know the sales team used it for much more. I felt like it was very clunky. I don't know if it could have been better had we had it programmed to fit the way we wanted to use it. We switched to a competitor when we decided to get a new website and branding - decided to replace the iDSS internal system as well, so the new systems were all through the same company and talked to each other. The new company informed us that the way iDSS was set up didn't make sense for how we should be tracking things - which caused a lot of trouble and confusion trying to get everything transferred to the new system correctly.
Bottom line, iDSS isn't terrible - we managed to make it work. However, I think there are easier platforms out there that are more intuitive.

**What do you like best about iDSS?**

I liked that I could tag Members/partners in our system to the artwork/projects I uploaded to allow me to run a report showing which Members were listed in advertising throughout the year. I believe many other similar systems do that too. I can't think of anything iDSS did that our new system didn't do as well.

**What do you dislike about iDSS?**

Running reports was extremely difficult. I'm very tech-savvy and it would take me a while to figure it out each time. Also, I was not too fond of the search function - it required you to put an asterisk in front of a word if you don't know the exact title you're looking for. I always forgot to use it and it'd tell me it didn't find anything - I'd have to re-do it, remembering to put the *.

Look into others first to see what best fits your specific needs.

**What problems is iDSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before iDSS we were doing everything manually for reporting in our marketing department. So iDSS allowed us to run reports that would have taken us hours or days to compile.

This was used for tracking room nights and managing all communications, reminders, calendar, etc.

**What do you like best about iDSS?**

I liked the various reports that you could run, as well as the way of managing tasks and alerts.

**What do you dislike about iDSS?**

There’s no stretching with this one. If you are trying to manage anything other than hotel bookings, such as condos or tracking of leisure sales, it really misses the mark.

**What problems is iDSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sales lead generation, prospecting, group sales. Groups are especially easy to track on this platform.

Account Management, Surveys, Organization, Contact Management and more 

**What do you like best about iDSS?**

We recently switch from Simpleview to IDSS and the transition has had some ups and downs. A few things I really like about IDSS is it's capability of creating surveys and events that can be sent directly out fo the program and tracked to the accounts. Its reporting capabilities are also impressive and we are still discovering new ways we can track the data. The IDSS team is also very responsive and helpful with any questions we may have. It also has a much more modern look than SimpleView. 

**What do you dislike about iDSS?**

A few things that we are missing or having a hard time getting used to is the lack of inventory tracking. We used to be able to pull orders and track multiple different types of inventory and have not been able to with this new system. The Survey programming is also very limited and is not very useful for what we need. We have heard from clients that the leads are a little more difficult to understand, but I'm they will become comfortable with the new system in time. 

**Recommendations to others considering iDSS:**

Take your time. They are very responsive and open to creating a custom system for our organization, but it takes time. 

**What problems is iDSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use IDSS for our CRM and are solving organization issues, reporting issues and tracking issues. We have had issues with cross-department communication and IDSS offers a way to track all activity with different accounts so that everyone on our team is always on the same page.

Idss has been a great company to work with. They always offer upgrades to the CRM to enhance our use and experience. 

**What do you like best about iDSS?**

Very easy to work with, always available to help when we have questions and continual upgrades to the system. 

**What do you dislike about iDSS?**

We honestly haven’t had any issues with this system. And if there was something that we didn’t like how it reported or needed more, they were able to offer a modification to meet our needs. 

**Recommendations to others considering iDSS:**

Do a tutorial and ask lots of questions. Their team is easy to work with and wants to answer all of your questions, take advantage of that opportunity to learn!
