We are happy with it. (1 ) iDempiere is a serious enterprise software suitable for medium and larger businesses. (2) we have 500+ active users daily, 100-400 mln calls to DB daily. You can have multiple application servers and load balancing between them, again all with the use of open source solutions that are well documented by iDempiere community. (3) iDempiere has 2 distinct engines for business process automation: Workflow and Requests. They are truly build-in and they allow us to formalize every workflow we want, spanning from our vendor, to our employee to our customer. (4) It is RPA (Robotic Processes Automation) ready. We use more than 100 of Robotic processes that do a lot of job for us - with the help of a standard functionality in iDempiere named Schedulers. (5) In terms of technology iDempiere has a modern structure - a core surrounded by number of plugins orchestrated one with each other. In real life this means that often we can modify the behavior of our enterprise system with no need to stop and restart it. In other words, we can modify our system on a fly. If your business is working 24/7/365 it is important. (6) iDempiere is true open source. No part of our system is locked, we have access to all the functionalities developed within community. All code is open and this code is no mystery for middle or even junior java developer. (7) Traceability capabilities of iDempiere are robust, that is good for food and beverage business. (8) of course no licensing burden. We are happy to free our mind to think of improvement, of best practices, not of licensing costs. **What do you dislike about iDempiere?** iDempiere ERP is a big and complex system suited for businesses that can afford competent in house team or capable service provider. **What problems is iDempiere solving and how is that benefiting you?** Besides standard ERP functionality in the last 2 years we were able to successfully implement 2 very important projects, both greatly facilitated by our iDempiere installation: - Getting ISO 22000 standards implemented in our Food manufacturing and getting certified for ISO 22000 by a well known international body. - Powering Loyalty program for 600'000+ our retail customers. ### 4. Comprehensive software which supports all technical business based tact and strategies, like MOQ Cycle, P & Q based replenishments MRP, DRP, Warehousing and sales networking, Production planning, demand control and demand forecasting based production plans. User’s roles and their authorizations. Approvals based manufacturing, purchase, sale orders, whole financial statement is on1 click by customized report, beside it is open to customize with open support. **What do you dislike about iDempiere?** Mobile application based support/navigation is not available, when we use it shows poor navigation. Installation is not easier, requires some steps like set variable, sql and other coding to install idempire sql/oracle server, some forms, menus or Windows’s size is not as per desktop browser screen. **What problems is iDempiere solving and how is that benefiting you?** Smooth and aligned business to ensure its meeting to our requirements, achieved best ever support in business by recording, analyzing, controlling and automated business process by idempire. Balanced payable and receivables by changing cash back terms, Overcome and determined the best way in tradeoff between shortages and excessive inventory in a random demand which was quite larger portion of business, and also was critical. Defined cycle time, lead time and throughput time to get the optimum figures of produce-able and saleable items, hence the tracing of bottle necks and improve them for capacity planning. ### 5. Oracle database server is compatible which is reliable, fast and conveient for massive transaction. We can use it for business where multi companies, multi plant and organizations are established. **What do you dislike about iDempiere?** Very hard to install, some programmjng type script is required to configure database, some dissorder in some forums are found while defining any new material. Poor graphics, menus are complexive to use. **What problems is iDempiere solving and how is that benefiting you?** Used for two companies on 1 database, while transactions between each other can be performed. Used to manage recieveable, payable, finance planning, costing, budgeting, accounts and profitibility, every defined report and transaction was perfect and meets business scenarios. Dashboard for top management userd was specially configured to take business insights on a few clicks, some BI and graphics too assembled in dashboard. ### 6. Best ever dashboard based graphics gauges etc. to monitor and control a specific values/parameters like payable,receivable,profitability and expenses etc. Easy access and documentation availability, support forum is less active but a good platform to be helped so customization is easier. Web based GUI, to run it on a cloud i.e specific domain, as well a local customized server can too be configured and accessed over internet. Roles,users, approvals authorizations and security is much effective to control the business and specific jobs assigned to persons. **What do you dislike about iDempiere?** Installation is not easier, import and export of data for shifting to or shifting from another ERP is complicated. Backup module is too complicated and malfunctioning, support forum is not so active and wide. Limited with Oracle/Mysql database. **What problems is iDempiere solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managing business supply chain, Purchasing, Set and defined parameters MOQ, Replenishment Qty,Safety stock,MRP controlling with the help of logic defined in IDempire. Sales, Demand forecast, sale order, optimise stock level to avod shortages aswell over stock.
