In my opinion, the lack of vendor backing and limited documentation can be challenging for businesses, leading to struggles in troubleshooting and implementation. Additionally, the complex setup and customization processes may result in higher maintenance costs and longer deployment times. We use iDempiere for several years now. We are happy with it.

(1 ) iDempiere is a serious enterprise software suitable for medium and larger businesses.

(2) we have 500+ active users daily, 100-400 mln calls to DB daily. You can have multiple application servers and load balancing between them, again all with the use of open source solutions that are well documented by iDempiere community.

(3) iDempiere has 2 distinct engines for business process automation: Workflow and Requests. They are truly build-in and they allow us to formalize every workflow we want, spanning from our vendor, to our employee to our customer.

(4) It is RPA (Robotic Processes Automation) ready. We use more than 100 of Robotic processes that do a lot of job for us - with the help of a standard functionality in iDempiere named Schedulers.

(5) In terms of technology iDempiere has a modern structure - a core surrounded by number of plugins orchestrated one with each other. In real life this means that often we can modify the behavior of our enterprise system with no need to stop and restart it. In other words, we can modify our system on a fly. If your business is working 24/7/365 it is important.

(6) iDempiere is true open source. No part of our system is locked, we have access to all the functionalities developed within community. All code is open and this code is no mystery for middle or even junior java developer.

(7) Traceability capabilities of iDempiere are robust, that is good for food and beverage business.

Mobile application based support/navigation is not available, when we use it shows poor navigation. Installation is not easier, requires some steps like set variable, sql and other coding to install idempire sql/oracle server, some forms, menus or Windows’s size is not as per desktop browser screen. Oracle database server is compatible which is reliable, fast and conveient for massive transaction.

Very hard to install, some programmjng type script is required to configure database, some dissorder in some forums are found while defining any new material.

Best ever dashboard based graphics gauges etc. to monitor and control a specific values/parameters like payable,receivable,profitability and expenses etc.

Easy access and documentation availability, support forum is less active but a good platform to be helped so customization is easier.

Web based GUI, to run it on a cloud i.e specific domain, as well a local customized server can too be configured and accessed over internet.

Installation is not easier, import and export of data for shifting to or shifting from another ERP is complicated.

Backup module is too complicated and malfunctioning, support forum is not so active and wide.
