What do you dislike about Ideagen Machine Safety?

I believe the Asset plant assessments could be improved by including questions that cover all details of a plants risks and then reference the associated standards which will (in the case of my company's machines, highlight non compliances and drive actions (AS5327:2022 is a good example where there is an Australia only appendix) there is not a single question on the survey that refers to this area of a machine. and i believe a proactive approach should be taken by the software designers to source info applicable to AS and then include it in the surveys ( my current belief is that plant assessor want users to add the questions themselves, which i dont believe works Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like how its all in the one place. It makes it easy to find plant from multiple companies all on the one program. I use Plant Assessor almost daily as part of my compliance audit checks, therefore it really helps that all plant is in the one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ideagen Machine Safety?

Some companies on plant assessor do not record their 'rego number' but rather 'serial number' which makes it very hard to identify the plant being used. So, some more consistancy with how they are recording their plant. Making it mandatory to record a rego number as well as the other aspects of the plant material would make the software more user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As part of my role i complete weekly compliance audits on all workers and plant on-site. Part of this audit makes sure that plant is registered on Plant Assessor and have the required documentation. Plant Assessor helps by providing me with the neccessary documentation for each plant, these include 'Plant in use assessment', 'Operator manuels', 'Service Manuel' and 'Service/maintenance record' Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ideagen Machine Safety?

The idea behind having plant documentation readily accessible on line to check and verify everything is in place before machines come to site is a big plus. Knowing plant is subject to regular servicing and has current Plant Risk Assessments and service history goes along way in ensuring we are compliant as a business. What do you dislike about Ideagen Machine Safety?

The costs associated with Sub-Contractor's using the system, alot of feedback is they dont feel they get value for money and do it purely because we mandate it unless dispensation is given i.e. the Sub-Contractor uses as an alternate system that works the same way.

Being able to find machines in the system can be difficult and frustrating, especially when they are not using the Registration number or plant ID number which is easy to obtain.

Sub-Contractors can sometimes struggle to share and make machines visible to us, especially when hiring machines in from another party. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
