One can accelerate and use available bandwidth over high latency WAN. "Why backing up all data again if the data has not been changed?" With Spictera SPFS solutions one can reduce data loss (RPO = Recovery Point Objective) to minimum using continous data protections. "Why wait scheduling backups when you can have it protected immediately?" - With SPFS one can mount the Spectrum Protect storage as a mount point or drive, and in this way protect almost any type of data, using your tool you prefer to use. - A flexible generic universal backup solution that provides agentless protection of data - https://www-356.ibm.com/partnerworld/gsd/solutiondetails.do?solution=56435&lc=en&stateCd=P&cd=BPAS&tab=2 With Spictera SPIR solution one can reduce the recovery time objective to only a few minutes regardless of size of data, this due to that the restoration is performed in background while data is fully operationable and useable. "Why wait for all data to be restored if you can access and use it immediately?" **What do you dislike about IBM Storage Protect?** Restore is complex for users as spectrum protect password is stored and restricted to root/ super user only **Recommendations to others considering IBM Storage Protect:** Very easy to setup new backups (we deploy everything using rest-API).
