**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2022

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

IBM Open Pages is a well designed tool where they tried to add a lot of things to make risk management and our life easy. UI can be improved a little more but overall its a good risk management tool. You dont need to keep everything documented at multiple places and can be called a one stop solution to multiple tools.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

A lot of options makes it a little difficult for new users to adopt it easily. Need more trainings or simplified application tours as if a user adopts this tool he has to use it for a longer period and cannot replace it easily.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this a tracking and reporting tool for multiple clients and it helps to generate wuick reports.

  ### 4. All project management from one platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal G. | Senior System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2022

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

It shows Risk Events, performs risk assessments, and manages testing control. Helps to communicate with other stakeholders and customers with addressing the issues. It's the best GRC(Governance, Risk and Compliance) tool.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

Integration with other software and reports format, not providing data analytics. Co-relation of risk events and detections.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides risk events that prevent future business losses. Provide continuity in operations, so employees are engaged and learn new skills. It helps us to pass a service improvement plan to customers/stakeholders.

  ### 5. Great tool for Operational Risk Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2022

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

IBM OpenPages can be utilized as a consolidated risk management tool that brings most aspects of risk management to a central point where the respective stakeholders, such as risk owners, can view the big picture throughout the entity at a glance.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

It is hard to master, and rigorous training is required for people who do not have computer literacy. Implementation of the solution is also a hassle, especially if the organization migrates from an already established integrated ERM framework.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The solution to the traditional bookkeeping of risk management with separate documents and records scattered among the business units is the main benefit for me.

  ### 6. AI is future, so there will be False positives in beginning as you feed machine learns& gets better.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhagath Singh G. | Senior Cyber Security Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2022

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

Risk and Compliance are made easy, and the graphical view looks appealing.
Audit planning is good if we know how to immerse ourselves in daily work.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

Sometimes the page hangs or takes long intervals to load.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They combined a lot of securities pieces to track better. Issue tracking is what I liked most

  ### 7. OpenPages Tfui needs improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lakshmisha S. | GRC Consultant | Senior Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2022

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

Tfui changes are best. Workflows need more customisation for emails in product. Calculations are good.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

Calculations doesn't allow same field update on 2 calculations which makes sense but doesn't specify which calculationbot is present. Although Tfui is done with react, certain update to field doesn't reflect immediately until you refresh.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ORm implementation and incident management.

  ### 8. Integration, Intelligence, User Friendly and Robust

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2022

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

User-Friendly interface of the platform. There has been focus on ease of customization in the recent releases which have been helpful for the developers as well.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

Data integration needs to be improved. Scheduling import of excels/data is required by several clients. Though the workflows and calculations are easy to develop they still have a scope of improvement.
Additionally, cognos reporting can be improved

**Recommendations to others considering IBM OpenPages:**

Installation and Upgrades are the hardest part.
Once the organization has the vision, OpenPages will help you achieve it.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using OpenPages for several of our clients. The team has implemented Audit, ORM, TPRM, MRM within OpenPages. The reporting though having limitations has still been the key problem solving solution.

  ### 9. Productive ORM Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

IBM OpenPages with Watson is a productive solution to house ORM Business Units, Process, Risk, Control, and Events. It has internal tabs that makes it user friendly.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

IBM OpenPages with Watson is a bit complicated for first time users and requires a learning curve. Also, there are many tabs and drop downs that need to be collapsed to see information.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM OpenPages:**

IBM OpenPages with Watson is a good viable option amongst others.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IBM OpenPages with Watson is used in my organization for Operational Risk Management with the internal application being called the Global Risk Oversight Tool (GoRo).

  ### 10. Great GRC application which has most of the modules and wide range of reports

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

It helps to consolidate all GRC tools in one area. You can manage tasks, customise your own dashboard and the reports are also good

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

NOthing as such nothing to complaint all good

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Risk and control assurance, internal audit modules and the benifits are to have a structural management of the same.

  ### 11. Strong contender from IBM for Governance, Risk & Control Platform for Enterprises

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manan T. | Consulting Practice Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2021

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

Very detailed options to manage and monitor operational risks for the organization. The way OpenPages manages KPIs and workflows, it becomes very efficient for Operational risk team to manage their day to day operations and audits without much of a hassle.

Overall user experience and visual reporting of the tool makes it very intuitive to use for not only Operational team but also for management team who are owning those risks.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

Long and tedious implementation cycle could be frustrating at times. However, well defined processes and implementation strategy would take away lot of these hassles.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM OpenPages:**

OpenPages has been great GRC platform and IBM has continuously invested in this product over a period of time.

You should definitely consider evaluating OpenPages if you are in search of a GRC platform. Though there are other good competitor products available in market, this one is strong contender too.

implementation turns out to be on a higher side if not managed effectively. I would strongly recommend to get help from IBM or Partner consultant for implementation of the tool.

As far as overall coverage is concerned, it will be difficult if you plan to do a big bang roll out of the system considering complexity involved for different departments and geographies. Instead, evaluate phased approach for implementation which will help in not only fortifying key business areas first but it will also help in increased adoption of the tool.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool has enabled complete coverage of managing all sorts of operational risk from different departments of the organization.

No more spreadsheet based risk management since OpenPages has enabled access to the end user directly and it has helped in ensuring overall effectiveness of the controls.

  ### 12. I've implemeneted OpenPages many times & I've seen its customization potential & comprehensiveness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Junaid S. | GRC Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2021

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

The tool out-of-box is very comprehensive. With minimal config it delivers any clients requirements. The upgrades to task-forced UI, workflow engine & calculations has made life easier

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

Many pain points but at top 2 things, no bulk user creation option & profiles cant be exported & imported with UI. There is aura tool which runs on Java 1.5 but has never worked for us. Other paint points are: The out-of-box TaskForced UI does not carry full range of associations like Standard UI. Links on Cognos still direct to Standard UI. No duplication feature for views, workflows etc. Not all admin features are on TaskForced UI.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many silo systems do what OpenPages does but where OpenPages stands out is centralized & shared Risk, Control & Process registers and a holistic picture for each artifact.

Not as user friendly the layout of the platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricio S. | Governance, Risk & Compliance Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2016

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

This product is a very powerful tool to monitor and control the operational risk at your organization. You can setup from scratch a work flow to automate the management or operational risk by setting up different phases, automating somehow the process.
This tool has several modules that include analytics and metrics related to risks, it also allows to capture data from other sources and integrate them.
One feature I really liked about the tool is that you can handle all your operational risks using this product. In my organization, it was a cloud based solution so the tool was always available.
With this tool I was able to develop a Dashboard with thresholds and KPIs as part of a Management System to ensure that all risks were treated and covered at their correspondent moment. It is really visual and makes Upper Management Reporting really simple.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

The only topic I could say i did not like was the complexity to implement the solution. It took more time than expected but in the end, it was very valuable, so was just a matter of really dedicating time to think the work flows and risk management activities from the very beginning.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM OpenPages:**

The initial analysis you need to do to make this happen is really important. If you want to implement the tool successfully, dedicate enough time to design the process and finding ways to remove non-value added activities and automate as much as possible.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were a lot of unmanaged risks in my organization or risks that were not being managed based on the global process, so mapping the global process in the tool was the key challenge we had. After this, we were able to capture all ad-hoc tools or spreadsheets that were handling risks and on board them into this product.

  ### 26. Risk Assessment User

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2016

**What do you like best about IBM OpenPages?**

It's visually appealing. That's about it. There are a lot of features, but the way that they implement it makes it impossible to use.

**What do you dislike about IBM OpenPages?**

-It takes 60 minutes to create an issue with a few associated action plans.
-The application is slow and the amount of manual input required is nauseating.
-The automation is awful. I should be able to assign one owner, contributor, and assessment owner for multiple action plans within an issue, but that functionality is not available,
-When errors are generated due to incomplete form items, it does not identify all of the missing items - it just identifies the next missing item.
-This product forces me (and many of my colleagues) to take a serious hit in our billability or to put in extra hours. I don't mind working extra hours when it's for a legitimate reason, but its unacceptable that it's because IBM is unable to make this technology usable.

**Recommendations to others considering IBM OpenPages:**

Don't buy it and avoid using it. Find solutions elsewhere.

**What problems is IBM OpenPages solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Risk Assessment reviews, Risk Management, Governance, SOX/GLBA/ISO compliance, etc. Large-scale enterprise organization.
