Datapower has in the inbuilt ability to detect threat of various natures and treat them accordingly. It gives you the flexibility to scale or descale because it provides you with a parameter called threshold value where you can define how many transactions you want to allow per minute or second.

Datapower is the most secure device because it gives us with the options of integrating some of the most secure protocols into our service namely SSL, TLS, OAuth, SAML and even Kerboros too. Datapower doesn't have any flaws according to me. The only thing which I could suggest is that they need to come up with more detailed documentation because Datapower has a plethora of options but the audience isn't well aware of them because they have not documented them well use-case wise.
