## About Iamresponding
Iamresponding is a web based emergency Responder Tracking System that lets you know immediately who is responding to your calls and dispatches, where they are responding, and when they will be responding. This saves critical time, and reduces response times, for fire departments, EMS agencies, SAR and technical rescue teams, and any other incident response teams when responding to emergencies.

## Iamresponding Reviews
  ### 1. Require an additional sign in step

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Project Coordinator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

Iamresponding does have a drawbacks like any tech platform. Nothing too significant. The process of signing in for training webinars takes a bit of time.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

The pricing is not off putting. The web user interface uses some modernization, the Android and iOS versions of the NFIRS module have a sleek and user friendly design. It would be better if the main UI matched that style and if the calendar integrated with Google Calendar.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Iamresponding sometimes feels overwhelming due, to its message distribution. Keeping up with notifications is difficult, especially if you already use pagers. The recurring training webinars provide information.

  ### 2. Solid Platform for your responding needs.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven R W. | Director of Business Engagement, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

Phone app, integration with department tech, helps when you dont have your pager handy.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

Not too many downsides other than typical tech issues that may be the user or internal tech at times.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting a message out fast to all our crew members. Having the ability to notify them via phone or watch when pager not around.

  ### 3. NFIRS module is fantastic

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kauan C. | Software Developer, Biotechnology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

The modern user interface, on both Android and iOS. The mapping functionality is not flawless its not an issue since I rely on my GPS app. This app has proven to be an asset to our fire department.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

The sign in process for training webinars is time consuming.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problems associated with coordinating emergency responses. This is ensuring communication and rapid mobilization of resources for us.

  ### 4. Day with Iamresponding

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Animesh R. | Founder, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

Ease of setting up multiple type of 'alert' deliverable options,

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

Nothing is particularly, pricing is reasonably okish too

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Setting up alerts and getting estimated ETA for help resources to arrive in location

  ### 5. Simple solution with under appreciated potential

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew C. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

We first obtained the I Am Responding platform several years ago as a means to document continuing education and be notified of requests for service. Due to our own internal barriers, we were unable to implement the alerting feature and the other features were partially duplicated by other services and procedures. In the last few weeks we've taken a fresh look at this platform and realize the potential of tracking meetings and public events in addition to response records.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

The web user interface feels very dated. Their Android and iOS have a modern UI, as does the NFIRS module, so we hope the main UI is going the same direction. Also, the calendar is a standalone tool--it would be spectacular if it had a feed consumable by Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook.

**Recommendations to others considering Iamresponding:**

Sign-in to the recurring training/demonstration webinars. They are very informative.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation of event and training attendance, apparatus (vehicle) deployment, and shared calendar access.

  ### 6. Easy to understand and navigate; it allows us to respond quickly and effectively.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

I like that I can view my schedule far in advance, as well as the schedules of the duty crew. It allows myself to plan ahead and it lets me know who I am relieving or who is coming in to relieve me.

I also love the pill identifier. But I wish it were more apparent that it existed as most people don’t know it does.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

I dislike the mapping. Maybe it is just my phone being difficult, but it always takes forever to load so I just use my own GPS app. Not a big deal but since most people have smart phones I don’t think this feature is as necessary.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By knowing who is on duty and responding, you can infer which crews have been responsible of which calls.

  ### 7. user friendly and great with multi agency dispatch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Enforcement | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

Very easy to view what crews are on duty and available for calls. Also user friendly for a dispatch center that provides services for many towns and agencies.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

users have to check in in order for it to be utilized properly

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to know if a crew is available and responding to a medical and the ETA. It also helps track time since dispatched to follow protocols for re-dispatch or call for mutual aid.

  ### 8. IAMResponding app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John J. | Officer, Public Safety, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

You can receive multiple notifications: app, text and message notification. Map of incident location and the added futures they have are very useful.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

I have no dislikes with the app. It's been a great asset to the fire dept. And shows command staff who is responding.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dispatch enters the call into I am Responding prior to dispatching/toning the call, so you get notified prior to the tones dropping and you can look the address up without asking dispatch for it.

  ### 9. Decent. Middle of the road.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | District Manager, Public Safety, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

Community aspect and ability to quickly determine staff/response.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

Seems a bit outdated and needing an overhaul. Responsiveness could help.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staffing for volunteer firefighters is number one problem and solution. Benefits help reduce guessing and digitize the age old mystery of volunteer fire responses.

  ### 10. Solid app for fire departments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Troy S. | Loss Control Field Representative, Insurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

Being able to see who is responding, how far out they may be, and then being able to establish crews accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

Sometimes the app doesn’t refresh fast enough.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attendance to calls and keeping updated on arrival times to the station

  ### 11. Great for small departments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Iamresponding?**

Love that it gives our memers the ability to check er from their phone and allows our officers to see who they have responding,

**What do you dislike about Iamresponding?**

Wish we had the ability to customize the app a little more to fit our individual departmental needs

**Recommendations to others considering Iamresponding:**

Great product for smaller departments, recommend checking out several different products to see what ones would best meet the needs of your departments however. Not every app is best for each department. Only you know what will work for you.

**What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a volunteer department, it's hard to know who is available at any given point during the day. This app allows us to see real time response from our members which gives our officers the ability to make on the fly decisions based on who is responding rather than sitting back waiting to see what you get.
