## iDonate Reviews
  ### 1. Quick, Intuitive Donations with Transparent Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

Simplicity for donors – The donation flow is usually quick and intuitive, which matters a lot. When giving is easy, people are far more likely to complete a donation instead of dropping off midway.
Transparency and trust – Clear tracking of where donations go and how they’re used helps build confidence, especially for first‑time donors.
Accessibility – Being mobile‑friendly and digital-first means people can donate anytime, anywhere—no paperwork, no hassle.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

Transaction or platform fees – Even small fees can feel frustrating to donors, especially when they want their full amount to go to the cause.
Limited customization – Campaign pages can sometimes look generic, making it harder for organizations to tell a unique, compelling story.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iDonate is solving some fundamental problems in the way donations and social impact initiatives are traditionally managed—namely lack of transparency, inefficiency, limited reach, and poor donor engagement.
First, transparency and trust.
One of the biggest challenges in fundraising is that donors often don’t know where their money goes or what impact it creates. iDonate addresses this by making donations trackable and impact measurable. This builds credibility and trust, which directly benefits me because it reduces friction when convincing people to donate and increases repeat contributions.
Second, operational inefficiencies.
Many NGOs and social causes rely on manual processes—offline collections, spreadsheets, and delayed reporting—which slows everything down. iDonate digitizes the entire flow: donation collection, reporting, and communication. This saves time and administrative effort, allowing me to focus more on actual impact rather than operational overhead.

  ### 2. Exceptional Support and Expert Guidance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2025

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

Rob Dupree is very knowledgeable, quick to resolve my issues and patient while teaching me how to accomplish what I need.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

Response time when our representative is on vacation.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating new, streamlined campaigns in that make promoting our events and accepting payments easier for our church members.

  ### 3. Fantastic 1:1 Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsey N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2024

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

The 1:1 customer support is the best in the business. Having a dedicated staff person we can turn to has made the biggest difference in getting our peer-to-peer Giving Day webpage running and I'm excited to see where all of these new changes takes us. I also really apperciate the easy to follow step by step guides that iDonate has on their customer support portal.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

If you don't have a dedicated iDonate staff member assigned to you, it can be really difficult to get support from the customer support team. I think in the past I've had to wait a week before I received any response to a question I had, which can be very frustrating. I see they have made changes to ther support portal and I have not had a chance to look at those changes, but I'm hoping they're usualful and helpful!

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use iDonate to capture online donations, event registrations, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.

  ### 4. iDonate helps support the world's fastest growing Gen Z led missions and evangelism organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rick W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2024

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

I have used iDonate for two organizations I represent: Hutchraft Ministires is a $5 million veteran evangelism organization. And then I've helped launch HowToLife Movement, a fast-growing upstart ministry reaching Gen Z youth. Overall, iDonate is a very friendly interface. It has been helpful on the back end for me as I have set up a lot, even though my main job is more executive leadership than web design. It has served us well in many capacities, with many, many giving pages we have needed to develop for HowToLife Movement. I use it every day, as we constantly receive gifts. Customer support shows up pretty consistently when I need help (for the most part). I have deep familiarity with both iDonate LEGACY platform, and the newer 2.0. I like to think I have had extensive experience on both platforms. I have loved the EVENT PLATFORM. I have used that for a few very strategic events, including our global Z Conference, which hosted about 1,000 young people who paid to attend. It was a fantastic integration for us. I love the Christian leadership and community of iDonate. Very friendly turf. That's huge.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

The team knows I have had deep frustration over GRAPHIC IMAGES integration into my pages and giving forms. This should be far more intutitive, but it isn't. And the result is often a very distroted and stretched image in the mobile version of my forms. I have pleaded, begged, and nicely expressed how this just isn't ready for prime time. PLEASE FIX (even now!).
There are a few other design elements that I think could be much improved.
I wish I had an easier way to CLEAN UP pages that I'm not using. Each page to delete requires some series of multiple things. I can't just delete a campaign, if it still has active parts somewhere. I haven't figured that out yet, and it jus should be easier.
on the events: I need to be able to have a way to do two events, at two different times. That is very clunky.
We have donors from all over the world, and I wish we had a few more ways to be more sensitive to other currencies, etc. This is a very US Centric platform.
Not a big fan of the TRIBUTE feature. That was not well conceived. Needs a separate review to explailn, but it doesn't work well at all.
The confirmation default page is a joke. Please delete that stupid clip art piece, so I don't have to every time.
Hosted pages are somewhat problematic. So much has to do with sizing.
GOAL METERS: This is a big one. That should be able to be inserted into a FORM, not just a hosted page. What a miss! Please fix.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a good platform to invite folks to generously give to support us.

  ### 5. Outstanding customer service!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fund-Raising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2024

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

Our main contact, Geoff Giauque, has been an outstanding resource. If he doen's know an anwer right away he finds it. He has helped take our giving day platform to a new level. Couldn't be happeir with the customer service. It is also very user friednly and easy to use. We use I donate daily.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

It would be nice if, on giving day, our sports could auto-populate when someone is donating. Currently they have to pick from a drop down menu.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Last year there were a lot of steps for someone to donate to athletics on giving day. With the help of donate we have gotten that down to 1-2 clicks. AWESOME!

  ### 6. Beautiful forms and user friendly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayci R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2024

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

The interface is easy to use and update. The forms are beautiful and clear.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

The upgrade to version 2 took longer than expected due to integration with Salesforce, but the integration team was outstanding and patient to walk me through the process every step of the way.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping create online giving forms for our small nonprofit.

  ### 7. iDonate has upgraded our donation process!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bethany W. | Program Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2023

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

The implementation support was incredible and thorough. We also like the user interface for our donors and the recurring donation features to help donors consider repeat gifts. The salesforce integration is great as well.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

I have no current concerns with our account. One area of improvement is more options regarding the emailed receipt regarding creativity.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Modernizing our donation experience and providing a more personalized experience.

  ### 8. iDonate has been key in moving our fundraising to the next level!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt W. | Creative Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

They way that their systems directly integrate into our website and events has been a massive help in acquiring funds for both our staff as well as for the events that we run.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

Honestly, there isn't a ton to dislike. If I had a complaint, it would be that the system does take a little bit to get used to. This "problem" is easily rectified, though, as the customer service team is top notch!

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

Don't hesitate to reach out to Customer Service! They're the best!

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had consistently had problems in tracking all of the funds for events, and we were having to go through additional third parties to create event reminders. iDonate gave us an easy way to keep track of these funds, as well as gave us a way to create events! Also, having control over fundraiser pages's content while allowing individuals to create the pages themselves has been a huge help.

  ### 9. iDonate has made my job significantly easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin W. | Operations Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

iDonate's customer support is incredible. They're very timely in helping solve issues and they have listened to my feedback on P2P and implemented new features that I have requested.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

There truly isn't much to say here. There are some limits to their event feature that make it harder for me to use. I think it has a great foundation and if some integration and automation with Google Sheets were possible it would be very useful.

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

iDonate is an excellent organization. Their software is high quality and they are always wanting to hear from us on how they can make their product meet our needs better. It's not just lip service. I have personally provided feedback on their P2P program and they have worked with me to implement the changes I requested.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They help make it an easy and seamless experience in donating to events which makes it easier for our people to raise the funds necessary. Our staff and students are more confident in raising funds because of how easy iDonate makes it to give online.

  ### 10. Working with iDonate has made my job much easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josie M. | Financial Operations Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

iDonate has made processing our online donations so much easier and allows me to quickly and confidently answer donor questions on their giving as I am able to locate their giving information easily in the customer portal along with making any requested changes more quickly for our donors

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

I wish our CRM integrated more easily with iDonate. Many times I wish our CRM operated like the iDonate platform where it was easy to retrieve the data I need in formats that work for our organization.

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

I suggest giving it a try. Our previous online giving platform was pitiful compared to idonate.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iDonate has helped make raising money for our summer projects through the peer to peer system. Before we switched to iDonate, we were collecting tens of thousands of dollars through checks and cash which was all hard to track and took so much time to process. Now with the peer to peer program, our students are raising money more quickly, the data entry portion of our processing has virtually been eliminated and we can give close to real-time fundraising goals to our students where that used to take us weeks to give updated information and by the time we were able to give updated numbers, the numbers would be outdated.

  ### 11. Great Service for Any Online Payment/Donation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

My absolute favorite thing about iDonate is their ability to complete secure Vault to Vault Data transfers. This allows anyone who has previously been using a different online service to securely transfer over all online donors very easily. Our previous system was far too outdated for this, but we can use it for any future staff person transferring to another region, and that's cut our work on the transferring of all donors to the new system down immensely.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

The only thing I wish we could do is to customize the embed payment forms more. We use specific branding for each event, but the embeds for each event looks the same. When we embed them onto our website's event page, we're also unable to center them. However, it still functions perfectly and we love being able to embed any form we need onto our website.

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

I'd of course recommend making a list of all features you'd like and comparing any similar service providers. If you're a church or college ministry, I'd 100% recommend iDonate to you because of the ease of use and how much it has served us and all of our staff members who raise support. It's not just for staff support raising though, it's enabled us to create excellent registration forms and easily sort out donations based on certain categories.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iDonate allows us to easily manage and track all online donations to our ministry and for specifically designated funds. We're also able to easily create forms for event registration and other specific event donation forms. This year was the first time we used the Peer to Peer fundraising tool, which allowed all of our participants of our 8-week program to fundraise easily and track their progress in real time.

  ### 12. iDonate is a feature rich donation platform that has great customization & an API that's accessible

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt J. | Resource Staff, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

iDonate allows us to set up things to fit our situation. They have responsive support. And they even have an integration that allows us to connect other online services

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

It's hard to search for specific donors. You can't search by first and last name. Some of the settings options don't stay selected. Also, while their support is responsive, I've never talked to anyone over the phone or video chat if I have a hard-to-solve problem.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us connect financial partners to our ministry. It allows us to connect each of our staff to the people that partner specifically with their individual ministries. It also connects to Salesforce.

  ### 13. Great donation software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chandler M. | Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

I think the ease of use and the flexibility it provides our organization. My main responsibility is updating various landing pages; I love that you can easily and quickly update pages.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

I currently have no complaints about iDonate - it has worked well for me.

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

It's a great tool that is certainly worth checking out.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Receiving donations from a diverse donor base and applying those funds to multiple different areas.

  ### 14. The platform gets the job done, albeit without bells and whistles.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

The ability to customize the embeds, emails, landing pages, etc. helps our organization make it feel more branded and less like an extension of iDonate. We want the integration to be seamless for the user.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

iDonate's events functionality is lacking: the FMV does not carry over into emailed receipts, silent/live auctions cannot be done through the platform, it doesn't offer integrated swipe devices for on-location use.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iDonate's dashboard is being redesigned to be more efficient and user-friendly, which helps us train across our organization. This increases its usability and allows us to bring consistency across our divisions.

  ### 15. iDonate has been amazing and the customer support team we've worked with has been highly responsive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor D. | Resource Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

The Customer support team has been amazing

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

It took a while for us to get our CRM integrated with iDonate

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

It has been fantastic for our organization, especially for the price.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iDonate gave us the ability to offer online donations to our donors

  ### 16. iDonate is abundantly better than our previous online giving platform. Many great features!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

The interface is very user-friendly, for our donors especially, but also for our staff working on the back end. Having multiple ways to give is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

The regular importing of data to our database (Raiser's Edge) has not been the cleanest. Making corrections is now somewhat more involved.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old online giving platform was not meeting our donor and office needs. The whole process is now improved and getting better. Online giving continues to grow.

  ### 17. User-friendly and amazing customer support!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

I like their customer support and client services. They take our concerns seriously and work hard to address any problems we run into.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

The platform itself has some feature limitations.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

iDonate has helped us tremendously with customizing our donor experience and having greater visibility and transparency into what is coming in.

  ### 18. Good program but not for complex situations

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

Easy for the donors to give, potential for non-cash gifts

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

Website link issues, spinning death spiral when nothing happens, iDonate tried to cancel donations and never told us, problems getting the data we needed

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

Do your due diligence.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increase online donations, address non-cash giving opportunities

  ### 19. Everything has been great and easy.

Event setup. Easy to post events and keep all the details.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

Search options aren't great you have to scroll a lot to find certain things

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fundraising been better

  ### 20. It just works!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

I like its simplicity in taking donations over the web

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

API intergration is lacking. would like to see more options

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 21. Decent payment experience, significantly lacking on the backend

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Senior Digital Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2020

**What do you like best about iDonate?**

The embed and campaign setup features work well.

**What do you dislike about iDonate?**

The dashboard and almost the entire back end. In order to get any real usable data you'll have to pull a full results files and slice the data in excel (or other spreadsheet style program).

**Recommendations to others considering iDonate:**

Make sure you fully vet the back end data/capabilities to make sure it provides the information and accessibility that you need before purchasing.

**What problems is iDonate solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payment processing and revenue tracking. The platform was obviously designed with the payer in mind vs. the marketer trying to use the payment data.
