Horovod was originally developed by Uber to make distributed deep learning fast and easy to use, bringing model training time down from days and weeks to hours and minutes. With Horovod, an existing training script can be scaled up to run on hundreds of GPUs in just a few lines of Python code. Horovod can be installed on-premise or run out-of-the-box in cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Databricks. Horovod can additionally run on top of Apache Spark, making it possible to unify data processing and model training into a single pipeline. Once Horovod has been configured, the same infrastructure can be used to train models with any framework, making it easy to switch between TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, and future frameworks as machine learning tech stacks continue to evolve. ## Horovod Reviews ### 1. Unlike other public blockchain platforms, this platform provides permission networks, strong identity management, privacy controls, and modular architecture, which are very well-suited for our business application. Their ecosystem also includes multiple frameworks such as Fabric and sawtooth allowing our organisation to use the technology which best fit our requirements. Then open source community on strong backing from the Linux foundation also gives more credibility to this platform. **What do you dislike about Horovod?** The learning curve was the initial stage its very steep for organization who are very new to blockchain technology, and so their onboarding process as well, which should be eased off for the new adopters. Also along with their initial setup and governance design, network configuration and Smart contract development often need specialised expertise in-house. Their implementation project can also become complex when integrating a blockchain solution with the existing enterprise system and process. **What problems is Horovod solving and how is that benefiting you?** This platform helps us in solving trust, transparency and data sharing challenges across our multiple organisations. It also enables secure and auditable transaction records even without relying much on a central authority. This is particularly useful for supply chains, trade finance, healthcare and identity management for asset tracking. By providing a shade source of truth, this platform reconciliation effort improves traceability and increases the overall operational efficiency. ### 2.
