"Review engineering team productivity in an effective and smart way"

What do you like best about Hivel?

Hivel provide perfect insights about team productivity. When you are handling large engineering team it will always a tedious task to understand the work load and tickets individual team members handling. However, integrating Hivel with GitHub has made this task much more manageable by providing seamless insights into the work being handled by different teams. I find the D3 graph charts generated by Hivel to represent the data in a very intuitive and visually appealing manner, which makes it easier for me to understand the productivity of the team. What do you dislike about Hivel?

Nothing as of now. But, I would like to have a feature that will send productivity reports to your inbox on a weekly basis. This will allow you to easily view high level insights into the work being handled by your team. The reports to include information such as the number of tickets closed, the number of pull requests merged, and any other metrics that you would like to track. "Hivel to review Engineering Productivity and Insights of Quality"
4/5
What do you like best about Hivel?

Hivel is a good tool for measuring Engineering productivity data for your teams. As the team size grows in organizations it becomes challenging to understand how many developers do not have a coding task or how is quality of coding done and how frequently do we have emergency releases. Hivel has a clean mechanism to address all these challenges that any Engineering team has when they are in high growth mode. They care for the clients and try to add value to the client goals. Given there are not many leaders in this category Hivel has a good potential to grow big in this space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hivel?

Hivel needs a better fault tolerance model to identify gaps in the data capture. They should find the issues through internal engineering methods rather than client reporting them. Some of the features can be improved by understanding the business use case of the clients which could be different for every business stream. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hivel provides detailed insights to engineering leaders and helps make data-driven decisions, identify potential bottlenecks or performance issues, drive process improvements, and coach teams better.

Some of the insights like cycle times, deployment frequency, pull request review/merge times, breakdown of work by user stories, tasks, bugs, etc are very powerful.
