I really like how easy it is to create a program using the existing library or by adding exercises, which makes structuring routines simple. Administering these programs to athletes is straightforward, and I appreciate that athletes can ask questions or make comments on their programs. The chat function makes communication smooth. I would like to use a team function where I can communicate with all members of a team for common goals. It would also be good to use the Coach App to administer programs, whereas currently it is set up more so for performing the workout with the athlete and administration has to be done more so on the web version. Not able to comment privately directly on the submitted workout (the chat feature is nice) but been able to leave comments on a workout/exercise would be great.

Basic macro implementation/tracking would also be nice

The only reason I’d change app would be the price, whilst it’s not unfair by any means, in comparison to other apps with more features it would be nice to see a slightly more competitive offering for the mid tiers to ensure long term affordability. I really like how easy Hevy Coach is to use and all it has to offer. My clients love the workout movement visuals, which help them understand how to do the movements and know where they should be feeling it. It's awesome to have everything in one app, from making programs and tracking weight/progress photos to communication, and it's all easy for my clients to understand. I do wish calorie tracking/macros were in the app but that is my ONLY complaint. It would just be nice to have a one stop shop even if it was an extra charge! I also wish on the Hevy Coach mobile version I was able to have more access like how I have on a laptop/desktop version. I don’t always have my laptop on me and if I need to fix something for a client fast it’s hard. I find it quite time-consuming to update the client's workout manually. I work with maximum repetition percentages, so weekly updates for each client's reps or weight are necessary. When managing a few clients, this task seems manageable, but as the number of clients grows, it becomes daunting and inefficient. I believe a feature that automatically increases reps or weight over time would resolve this issue, significantly saving time and making the process more efficient. The only downside is the lack of cardio options such as circuits, EMOMs etc but the app is tailored more towards strength so this isn’t a real downside. Also you can create custom exercises in this case which works fine! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
