**What do you like best about HelpStudio Suite?**

The combination of HelpStudio with Document X! allows you to combine generated documentation with hand-written html-pages.

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

I would like to split the documentation into manuals. Each manual should be generated into a separate target directory. However, several manuals should have cross references between and a common table of contents. Helpstudio only allows you to have everything into one giant huge project. With this feature we could move more of our documentation to HelpStudio.

**What problems is HelpStudio Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide online documentation for the Mimer SQL Data Provider.

**What do you like best about HelpStudio Suite?**

This is why I use this Document! X text editor as my on-day companion, because it assists in plugins installation and usage. Furthermore it provides me many plugins that enhances efficiency and lean the time and effort consumption. Our colleagues will also, like the rest of the tools that may be a technical tool, take advantage of coding potentials.

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

Sometimes, while opening a text or a code file there may by some misalignment in indentation that can be quite a problem. So, the working is what is necessary for having it.

**What problems is HelpStudio Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in the fulfillment of tasks with ease as it comes with recording macros capabilities. This freesoftware is primitive, simplicity as well as free: It is unparalleled in text editing and provides functions too. Programmers can utilize easily modifiable themes with more formatting preferences, which enable users to correctly indent their code, structure their code, and build main, forked, forest, and focussed styles. In addition, it allows to build up a crisp code structure that helps understating.

**What do you like best about HelpStudio Suite?**

I like a lot because it is easy to use, I can see all the details about the evaluations made during the week, month and days. Also can socialize with the team in groups.

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

I can say that I do not see specific things that I don't particularly appreciate because all the tools on it are friendly. Everything is good, and I know that anyone would like it.  So I feel ok with it.

**What problems is HelpStudio Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using this tool, I can appreciate the benefit of being aware of how my process is doing during the service I do because I can verify scores of everyday evaluations.

**What do you like best about HelpStudio Suite?**

The good thing about document x is it provides the consistent customizable solutions for all our technical documentation.
It has wide varieties of solutions.
It is fast and professional.

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

There is not as much disadvantage of using document x but sometime it behaves unusual that someone get confused.
It takes a lil time to understand how to use the app.

**What problems is HelpStudio Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As of now i have used document x for preparing my development documents . Whenever i am switching to new projects i prepare my developments documents very easily and acuurately with document x.

**What do you like best about HelpStudio Suite?**

The best part is that it is a saas-based service so that we can use to create automated docs for libraries, Databases, etc. on-line.
It has some good features like generating an accurate and professional Doc automatically.

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

I don't see any major issues with it. It has great training material which is really helpful.
I would recommend them to give more frequent updates.

**Recommendations to others considering HelpStudio Suite:**

I would say go for it as it saves a lot of time and video training are really helpful in onboarding to Document X.

We are using it on the daily basis for generating professional Docs automatically for web services, Databases,Libraries.

Help to relieve from the manual documentation production and automates all the contents in a very structured manner.

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

Always faced issues regarding the storage capacity and editing issues also exists.

I increased customisation of problems and customized my data books in my day to dy role of work

I like that it is all html based and online. Easy template  based design, so I can change my project around easily

Not insanely well designed site. Other than that it’s great

**What do you like best about HelpStudio Suite?**

The software is good at building API documentation. I was using it to document C# projects. Once you grab all the .dll files and the accompanying XML documentation output, it will build the help project from these files. You can see what the developers entered as documentation with the option to overwrite their comments with your own without changing it in code. That said, there will be frustrations as you try to find the one DLL not included in your assemblies folder using the often cryptic error messages.  

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

The most glaring shortcoming of this software is the poor documentation. If you want to customize the output of your deliverables, there is little to no help. Their documentation seems to be focused on videos that are rarely helpful and that do not have a table of contents or other mechanism to scan the content. You end up spending several minutes to confirm the video is only helpful for the most basic of tasks.

Customization of output is very difficult for the reason just mentioned. I was able to extend the functionality of the webhelp projects it creates, but did so only by fumbling around in the dark.

PDF output is not very good, although it's improving. Styling the output of PDFs is quite a nightmare.

The files are not saved as native XML. If you plan to move to another authoring system later, I imagine there will be a large conversion effort required.



**Recommendations to others considering HelpStudio Suite:**

Look elsewhere if you need easily configurable output and XML files. Support is often very responsive with feature requests and bugs. Of course, you will have to pay for the support to keep getting these features. 

**What problems is HelpStudio Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have many complex software solutions that require documentation for different user types (developer, user, administrator). As with most single-source authoring software, this one delivers webhelp projects and .chm files from the same source material, but the end result is adequate at best and downright poor if you need PDF.

**What do you like best about HelpStudio Suite?**

Even with the trial version, I was able to build a good looking FAQ for the API we were working on.
Easy to pick on, although a bit more complicated to become an expert.

**What do you dislike about HelpStudio Suite?**

Could use some HTML-like code to build page templates.
Tutorials were not covering functionalities very well.
The community around this product is still very small, so it is hard to find help when we get into a problem.

**Recommendations to others considering HelpStudio Suite:**

It takes some time to get a good idea how it all works. Be patient and try functionalities. Sometimes you will be surprise how that thing give you good results you were not even expecting.

The project was to document an in-house API used on every new web application developed by the organization.
