I feel confident with the quality of the courses and great material I am learning. **What do you dislike about HarvardX?** I wish there were a few more courses geared towards lower elementary teachers like myself. However there a great deal of general education and higher education courses as well as some for special education. **What problems is HarvardX solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't have time to go to in person classes while working a full time job so I love that I'm able to grow professionally on my own time through these online courses. ### 2. The amount of information available is incredible, and the professors/instructors are really top notch as well. There are courses covering so many sectors: from health, wellness, business, social impact, and more! You can also obtain verified certificates, professional certificates, executive education, and even go through their trademarked "micro-masters programs -- it's an insane amount of value! Big brands like Hilton and Goldman Sachs are using this platform for training their employees as well, which means that certificates earned will likely be looked upon even more favorably over time. Beyond practical courses (like business or coding), you can also explore hobbies and passion interests -- something I think we don't do enough of anymore! **What do you dislike about HarvardX?** You do need to be sure to verify the access/cost of the course vs. what the cost for the certificate is -- often taking it is free/low cost but you pay additional for the certificate. Courses do expire after a certain time, so be aware of that as well. Unlike taking a class with other students, you also have to remember that you are doing this alone -- no one is "checking in" and it's easy to quit part way through due to lack of time and connection. **What problems is HarvardX solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to learn more in-depth information about areas of interest to me personally, and to learn from reputable, top-of-their field instructors and professionals. I recently took a class on story telling and social change that I found beneficial both personally and as part of my copywriting business. I think many business owners would be well served by taking a look and seeing how they might benefit as well! ### 3. I am in the process of taking the Humanitarian Response course and I like the way the course is organized, how informative it is, and how the material is presented through the case studies. **What do you dislike about HarvardX?** I wish there was still an opportunity to receive credit for the course or a certificate without having to pay for tuition. I wish there was an option for the first course through Harvard X to allow you to receive a certificate for free in order to try out how effective the courses are. **Recommendations to others considering HarvardX:** Harvard X is a great platform to gain technical knowledge and skills about a certain topic. We have really enjoyed using it through my organization and have gained necessary skills on specialized topics we would not have found elsewhere. **What problems is HarvardX solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am learning highly technical knowledge through HarvardX courses that is relevant to my master's degree as well as my career. I greatly appreciate how it is self-paced and I can learn this information through experts outside of paying for a university degree, even though it resembles a university course. ### 5. These are short courses and the ease of access is the most reliable part. **What do you dislike about HarvardX?** There is not a lot of multimedia tools that connect student to faculty. There is a student and faculty relationship that is lost. **Recommendations to others considering HarvardX:** Anyone with a bachelors degree. **What problems is HarvardX solving and how is that benefiting you?** The short course access and the faculty instruction. ### 7. I know that some people have no much money to study in real Harvard. But why not to take courses from learning system?I hope all people who want to receive education but have no chance to move to USA to study in this world known University would have a great opportunity to download interesting courses that triggers insight and intellect. I think people do not see riches that this HarvardX is presenting.
