It has numerous features and extensive adaptability to assist with numerous collaborative tasks. **What do you dislike about GroupMap?** Overall costs are reasonable, but more flexibility would help in terms of dealing with larger meetings time to time, or the temporary need for additional facilitators, which can add costs quickly. **What problems is GroupMap solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a great tool particularly for brainstorming, evaluating ideas, and then moving from discussion to action. I particularly like how it can work both asynchronously and synchronously. Groups can work on maps individually between meetings, and then during meeting, interact with the maps with voting, ranking, commenting, etc. I like to use the valuable time together as efficiently as possible, and using GroupMap between meetings to collect individual perspectives allows us to use the joint time doing critical interactive tasks. ### 2. By putting in a bit of thought in to the templates before going in to your meeting it is made easy to capture and securely save the input of the participants. By going through the process of grouping, voting and rating topics provided as input an interactive meeting is created, where everyone feels their input is considered and heard. **What do you dislike about GroupMap?** The final report you can download after finishing your template is not as intuitive and formatted as I would like it to be. **What problems is GroupMap solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating alignment and buy in from the participant in the meeting by involving them all in the brainstorm and decisions process. ### 3. There are many ready to use templates that all internal/external consultants like to use e.g. SWOT, PEST, Operating Model Canvas and the like. You can also create your own maps/template quite quickly with a really easy to use interface. **What do you dislike about GroupMap?** Nothing really. I find it easy to use and can access support easily if required. **Recommendations to others considering GroupMap:** My clients loved using it so much I decided to resell it. But also excellent for use within a face to face workshop as you can quickly move to action planning after the brainstorming and grouping are completed. I can't **Recommendations to others considering GroupMap:** Initially, it might seem too simplistic - minimal features - very uncluttered screen. But then, after you've walked a group through a process, step by step, especially a virtual team of geographically dispersed participations spread across multiple time zones you will understand the magic of Groupmap. **What problems is GroupMap solving and how is that benefiting you?** As both a consultant and a workshop facilitator I've used Groupmap for various purposes. These range from Empathy Mapping, Lean Startup to Brainstorming and Swot Mapping. The ability to configure each individual canvas to meet the specific needs of each client or workshop - guiding the online collaborators through the collaboration process seamlessly is perhaps one of the major advantages Groupmap has over all its competitors! ### 6. The agile retrospective tool works brilliantly in a distributive environment and is also a great learning aid for teams that have less experience. The Brainstorming map is great for the other end of the planning process when collaborating with product teams outside the engineering function. **What do you dislike about GroupMap?** I think the pricing model could be tweaked. **What problems is GroupMap solving and how is that benefiting you?** Implementing agile/scrum ceremonies in a distributed environment can be difficult, GroupMap provides all the tools required to do this. ### 8. It appears you don't need any special skills to use it or to facilitate even the largest group. They seem to have every template I could ever want and the ability to customize the design and functionality of each. It has all the biggies like brainstorming, SWOT analysis, SOAR Analysis, Business Model Canvas, Urgent Important MAtrix etc. plus many industry-specific templates like Agile retrospective and KWHLAQ. Groups can attach files, make comments, vote on priorities and more. The anonymity function is excellent to prevent groupthink. **What do you dislike about GroupMap?** Nothing at the moment. But I've only used the basic functions at the moment. Maybe I need to use it a bit more to see. **Recommendations to others considering GroupMap:** It costs nothing to trial for 14 days **What problems is GroupMap solving and how is that benefiting you?** Capturing, collating and sorting ideas.
