Grooper Reviews & Product Details

I've worked with Grooper for the last 3-4 years and is used every day to pull information from several different locations with ease. I am happy with what it has done to keep us efficient in a diminishing workforce environment. When trained right, Grooper can do a lot of the heavy lifting and get documents to in cold storage with points of validations that ensures it's getting to the right spot. There is a learning curve, as with any software, that is pretty step and the way to extract or process data through its data models isn't always intuitive, but with a talented enough architect, you can pull any information. I do not care that they paywall training for a software which is invaluable and necessary for new users. Grooper is a subscription-based model where you pay for access to the cloud-based system, which I am never a fan of. I prefer the thick-client program. but these are the times we live in. Grooper is very user friendly. I like the simple and quick processes through the batches, and I like the fact it reads the cover sheets, and I don't have to key which file to put the scan to for each scan. The only complaint I have about Grooper is that on larger scans, it sometimes gets hung up between processes, and I have to pause the scan and restart it, and sometimes it works, and sometimes I have to delete the batch and start over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Grooper data processing platform has been invaluable to our organization through our transition to a paperless environment. Instead of manually scanning/batching hundreds of contract documents each week, we email .pdf sets of documents to a designated emailbox. The system identifies, separates, and indexes the various documents with incredible speed, security, and, most importantly, increased accuracy. The Grooper system was difficult to set up for our particular organization. The transition was both time-consuming and labor-intensive due to the specific complexities of our internal IT structure. During the initial sale, we were also not advised that costly periodic upgrades are necessary approximately every 3 years.
