I am happy with what it has done to keep us efficient in a diminishing workforce environment. When trained right, Grooper can do a lot of the heavy lifting and get documents to in cold storage with points of validations that ensures it's getting to the right spot. Customer support has help with major problems and bugs that arise and are very knowledgeable. **What do you dislike about Grooper?** There is a learning curve, as with any software, that is pretty step and the way to extract or process data through its data models isn't always intuitive, but with a talented enough architect, you can pull any information. I do not care that they paywall training for a software which is invaluable and necessary for new users. Grooper is a subscription-based model where you pay for access to the cloud-based system, which I am never a fan of. I prefer the thick-client program. but these are the times we live in. **What problems is Grooper solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping our Records team effective with less people. It takes our documents and saves us many steps of validation and data entry. ### 2. I like the simple and quick processes through the batches, and I like the fact it reads the cover sheets, and I don't have to key which file to put the scan to for each scan. Being a law office, we have used several platforms for scanning, and Grooper, by far, has been my favorite. **What do you dislike about Grooper?** The only complaint I have about Grooper is that on larger scans, it sometimes gets hung up between processes, and I have to pause the scan and restart it, and sometimes it works, and sometimes I have to delete the batch and start over. **What problems is Grooper solving and how is that benefiting you?** Because it is simple and quick and we are a busy office, it helps with time management in our office with being a digital office. ### 4. It does a great job at scanning my files, I rarely have any issues with Grooper. **What do you dislike about Grooper?** There are times when Grooper does not respond when using it which slows down my scanning. i also do not really like tht you can not go back to a previous step if you get an error so you can fix it **What problems is Grooper solving and how is that benefiting you?** It makes it where i can get my files online and save them as PDF's later instead of having to go dig them out of storage, scanning them to myself and then saving as a PDF. ### 5. For me, it would be much more effective if the application didn't split my scan into separate invoice payments. Instead of manually scanning/batching hundreds of contract documents each week, we email .pdf sets of documents to a designated emailbox. The system identifies, separates, and indexes the various documents with incredible speed, security, and, most importantly, increased accuracy. The automation and OCR technology is state of the art and has saved us hours of labor. **What do you dislike about Grooper?** The Grooper system was difficult to set up for our particular organization. The transition was both time-consuming and labor-intensive due to the specific complexities of our internal IT structure. During the initial sale, we were also not advised that costly periodic upgrades are necessary approximately every 3 years. Additionally, it is important to note that paid participation in classes will be required in order to write future scripts/document recognition programming. **What problems is Grooper solving and how is that benefiting you?** Grooper is saving time and labor, and increasing accuracy. In one case we use Grooper to watch for incoming applications submitted via email, once the applications arrive Grooper reviews them for accuracy if there is any missing information, Grooper sends back an email to the sender requesting a correction, and if all information is good it will extract the information and process the application saving weeks of delays! ### 13. Others claim they can and have many similar tools, but Grooper has the best image processing we have found and with their multiple OCR engines and layering, they really figured it out. They really understand that unless you have a squeaky clean image to read, you won't get the accuracy. **What do you dislike about Grooper?** I wish they were cloud native and had a better GUI. **What problems is Grooper solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are focused in Healthcare. Accounts Payable and EOB coordination. It is complex area with lots of extractions, but the Grooper team is second to none. We rely on them and they are always there for us. No longer are we limited to an application's canned reporting output. We the users can update and create any modifications ourselves!
