GG is the best eQMS for traditional medical device design and development (can't speak for software dev). We looked at many systems but would have had to keep our design matrices and risk in excel. The design workspace is build to ISO 13485 and allows you to link your design items to relevant documents and related risk items. You can document design reviews in software and print a simple design file. Risk is built to ISO 14971 and doesn't trap you into just FMEA. It incorporates harmonized IMDRF terms for hazards and harms and includes various regulatory codes, which is great for regulatory reporting. You can review and lock your risk analysis in a way that makes it easy for risk to stay a living "document".

You can view documents in app, which is surprisingly not a feature for many systems and a must have for me. Attributes and tags make it easy to organize and find documents.

Change management is flexible and allows you to route multiple documents at a time. Training is great, I can automate SOP training so nothing gets missed. The quality events could be improved but are workable and you can link audits to CAPAs to risk to documents which is great. Admin has got to be the easiest of any out of the box software and the support is world class.

If you want a super custom system, this probably isn't for you. If you need a quick and straightforward implementation and are happy with a system built for ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 take a look! We were mostly implemented in 3 months and fully implemented by 5 with everyone trained! Almost all of the users find it intuitive to join, train, and sign off on change and documents. Users that use it for quality events, design, risk, and admin were able to feel comfortable very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quality events are inflexible but are at least built to include CAPA requirements for med dev. Analytics is limited, but still can provide some valuable data. It would be great if there was an easier way to get signatures from external users (like suppliers) without inviting them into you system, but it's not hard to work around.

Biggest complaint is pricing. It may not be competitive for many teams. It's annoying to pay for extra projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Greenlight Guru has proved to be easy to use, with top-tier support and great compliance features. The Quality Processes and Products modules have been especially useful during our project—it makes managing CAPAs, complaints, audits and trace matrices super streamlined and traceable. While it is not highly customizable, it’s a reliable system for staying compliant and organized. Yet, feedback for future features is always welcomed by the support team. It covers nearly the entirety of the QMS from document and change control, design controls, risk management, and monitoring and improvement processes. The interface is simple to learn and the automation function allow one to tailor the system to their own procedures. The GG team guided us in the implementation of the different modules and helped in providing work instructions that could be tailored to comply with internal requirements. It is often the first application I open every morning. The validation packages are simple to integrate into our own QMS requirements and the module training videos made it easy for the employees to learn to use the system. It would be very helpful if the system were available in other languages. At the moment it is English only which works for American customers, but becomes tricky for international companies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Greenlight Guru provides a simple and consistent approach to QMS. It is elegantly presented, simple to use and very intuitive. Also, the fact that Greenlight Guru has limited configuration makes it very easy to use - the important thing to remember is that YOU have to adapt YOUR practices to get the best out of Greenlight Guru.

Greenlight Guru is very simple to implement, but users have to commit to using Greenlight Guru.

There are some inconsistencies within Greenlight Guru workspaces. As an example, some field entries require the user to save, but others do not, some workspaces use RTF text boxes, but other workspaces do not (e.g. Risk Management vs Change Orders respectively). Very user friendly. Not much configuration and coded automations needed to setup and use. Aesthetically pleasing, nice built in analytics. The University, feedback, and support systems are amazing...especially the instant Chat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pro of not much configuration and coded automations is also a bit of a con, wish there were some things you could configure on your own or set up in the background like poke-yoked document numbering or different Risk configurations.
