What do you like best about Google App Maker?

With the Google app maker platform we can build customized applications as our requirements.Also we can use templates for that to make more easy for the development process.Drag-and-Drop function is the best feature which I have found very useful for us.Also we can maintain the deployment of the application very smoothly.Also we can have the application preview before the deployment. With the Google app maker platform, we can manage and configure very reliable data models which will effect to our business requirements.Completed applications will be fully responsive to access over via mobile or any other smart devices. What problems is Google App Maker solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is a low coding application platform which will make the development process easy and efficiently.With the Google App Maker we can easily integrate with the other Google products which will be time saving feature for us. If we are less knowledge with the coding but with the drag and drop feature, we can easily manage to build an app.We do not want to think about server resources configuring or managing. What do you like best about Google App Maker?

The UI and UX of the development console and the finals apps are great. It is based on Material Design and looks familiar to final users. The integration with Googles apps and APIs is another important feature.

Once you get familiar with development principles, you can start building enterprise apps quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google App Maker?

Apps created with Google App Maker are acessible only by the organization, that is, external users can't interact with it. This is a limitation factor if you want to develop an app to be used by anyone.

Another problem is that Google Drive Tables (database) used by Google App Maker is deprecated. Google is forcing developers to use Google Cloud SQL, which is a paid solution. So, now organizations will have additional costs to deploy applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Google App Maker:

Google App Maker deserves a try. It is an interesting tool to quickly develop enterprise apps. However, you should now consider that you will have costs with Google Cloud SQL to deploy a MySQL database for your apps (mandatory).

Initially, using App Maker is not a straightforward process. You will have to expend sometime to understand how it works. Templates can help you get through that.

Also, App Maker is only available for G Suite users (Business, Enterprise and Education versions). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google App Maker?

They guide you step by step to creating and generating an app. We have some on our team who have never thought about wanting to creating an APP. Having Google App maker be as simple as it is makes it easier for our team members to utilize the app. Making edits, and updates can use a little tweaking but otherwise We will continue to use the app maker Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google App Maker?

There are too many small steps that you can't skip. Like mentioned above about the edits and updates once created. There should be an easier alternative for editing an App already developed. We've looking for a better answer or I should say solution around this but still haven't found one yet. Other than that, everything is is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google App Maker solving and how is that benefiting you?

It allows us to create an app for each event we execute, which then allows our attendees to easily navigate day to day. We create the App per event specifically for each location, city, venue ect... Once created and submitted to the cloud, our team can have our attendees download the app so they have an overview of the event. The App Maker allows us to insert photos, and links to other sites which is very helpful. We've been looking at other app generators, but nothing is out there as simple as this one. What do you like best about Google App Maker?

The thing I like most is that it is VERY user friendly, and enables practically anyone to make a app without prior knowledge or training. I don't have to be an expert computer scientist or app developer, and the price is very worth it (only if you have GSuite) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google App Maker?

I dislike that there is a low variety of templates, and it won't yet allow me to input my own, or design a custom one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For the first few months of usage, the program costs about $10 per month, so it's a great investment only if you will use it frequently. Otherwise, it is a bit expensive to pay so much for a single app. Also, it is good to do a trial before purchasing to make sure you know exactly what you should expect to be able to do on the software. Also, this is the only App Make I have personally used, and I would recommend it to anyone who is new to app development and maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
