Personally, I really like the way the toolbox is arranged. I often use the fuzzy selection tool since from a color it selects a region of the image based on its color. It is ideal when we want to make silhouettes and then convert it into .png files. In the same way the color picker tool is also very useful pus allows us to emulate colors of an image that we are already working allowing the final work to be clean. Gimp offers a wide range of filters with which we can blur, enhance, distort, detect edges, among other functions, which are very useful when you want to improve the quality of an image. Really Gimp is a very complete tool. **What do you dislike about GIMP?** The work area of ​​the latest version of GIMP is very dark and not how to configure it to change the color. A great light, practical and efficient graphic design tool. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** David G. | Merchandise Presentation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2019 **What do you like best about GIMP?** Among the main advantages I could list about Gimp are: 1.- It is a free software which guarantees its gratuity. 2.- It has all the necessary tools to create, edit or modify images in different files. 3.- It has different filters that allow to do a quality work. 4.- Its user interface is friendly. 5.- Does not occupy much space on our hard drive. 6.- It allows to export projects in different formats. **What do you dislike about GIMP?** the most recent version has a very dark mask which does not allow me to appreciate the taskbar very well. Similarly, I think we should have more tutorials on the WEB because if we compare it with the information about Photoshop, there is very little that of GIMP. **Recommendations to others considering GIMP:** Gimp is so light you can carry it in a small storage unit everywhere. Updates to this software are always available. My biggest recommendation is to explore each of its functions very well and if there is a problem, consult the technical support team. I recommend Gimp 100%. **What problems is GIMP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Thanks to Gimp we now have a tool that allows us to develop the best and most professional designs. We learned to use it very fast. It is so light that we did not have to make a strong investment in computer equipment or hard drives. Our experience with Gimp has been very pleasant since it is a versatile software that allows us to make the best creations. ### 49. Gimp is very easy to install, without dependency complications and its installation and updates do not generate any economic license cost. I find it great that the tool provides many formats to export the images, so you can choose the format you prefer. It has a large community that provides many additional tools such as brushes, fonts, add-ons or templates. **What do you dislike about GIMP?** I do not bring good news to Windows consumers, but it's not so bad either. Because although it can operate on different operating system platforms, it performs better on Linux than on Windows. There are some limitations in their functions with respect to the competition. **Recommendations to others considering GIMP:** If you want to make edits of images or projects of this nature without spending on licenses or with a low budget without neglecting the quality, GIMP is ideal to cover this need. **What problems is GIMP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Gimp in the company as it is an option with which we save money with a great quality in its functions. In addition we have put it into practice for purely visual projects and great artistic sense with didactic, advertising and brand purposes. ### 50. It is a program that is fully trained by a large number of tools which allows you to work quickly, easily and professionally as it allows us to work with adjustment layers, vector selection and many more tools.
