What do you like best about GFI LanGuard?

The issues of network configurations and system patches upgrading will no longer bother me as GFI LanGuard helps with it. It has the ability to scan for vulnerabilities and identify patches that are missing which help me give up the task that requires I go through logs to do the same. What do you dislike about GFI LanGuard?

The vulnerability scanning findings do not tick a full assessment according to the reports from the LanGuard, and sometimes the reports can be conflicting. Finding which devices to patch and prioritizing them appropriately is sometimes a challenging task, especially when there are a lot of cables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GFI LanGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?

GFI LanGuard has made me feel safer with the help of it having my network safe and sound. What I like about it is that patch management can be automated and the IT manager has time to focus on other IT tasks, that is why in case of using outdated software the probability of security breaches can be reduced. What do you like best about GFI LanGuard?

GFI LanGuard is an ultimate solution for network security which relieved you of a lot of manual tasks. I have use it to scan my network for vulnerabilities and automates the patch deployment which saves me much, probably because I don’t need to do that manually. What do you dislike about GFI LanGuard?

LanGuard is not very good in discovering vulnerabilities and deploying patches, it takes some time to make all reports properly, the reports are not great. Creating reports that reflect the presentable in a simple form of network security protection calls for extra work. I believe, more user-friendly reporting tools will be a great addition. What problems is GFI LanGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Languard is kind of an antivirus for the network as it does not let my network get infected. Automated patches not only liberates my time to perform other IT duties but also helps me to become more efficient as I know where to focus first. The interface of the product needs to be upgraded. It has a very basic feel to it without any of the visual aspects which could make navigation and understanding easier. There also tends to be problems with the service unless the server is restarted often Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GFI LanGuard?

I liked the vulnerability scanning and patch management feature of GFI Languard. It is a must-have tool for patch management.

Scanning is fast and accurate. The vulnerability list is comprehensive. The software is easy to install and configure. Report generated is good and very illustrative. Over all it is a powerful tool for system and network management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GFI LanGuard?

The trial version of the software is only for 30 days. No free version available at the time I used the software. It has a dependency on MS sql. Rather than being dependant on MS sql, GFI Languard may move to some open source alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GFI LanGuard?

Simple to use and once you have it setup the way you like it you do not have to check it all the time. I put computers in different groups and I have different scan and or patching schedules setup differently depending on the group I have them in. I also like that each group can have its own relay so all the computers do not have to all hit the same server to get their updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GFI LanGuard?

The interface can use updating, seems to be the same for years now, make make it more modern looking or more inline with MS 365 look? No real complaints for the actual software or its functions that I can say. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GFI LanGuard reports can drive through a never ending combination, this can easily drive with a lack of response or confidence to the scanning results of your company assets, I don't like to spend long hours setting out templates to automate reports that can trigger false positive alarms or skip important threats. I would recommend GFI LanGuard to those companies that are seeking to build a solid IT Secure environment, with early threat and patching detection and with a smooth agent supervision over IT assets, also taking care of your business continuity performance and being effective with an IT security compliance policy backed by an a recognized Network security software such as GFI LanGuard. With GFI LanGuard we had the chance to consolidate and confirm our network and system vulnerabilities some of those that we've only took a light scan and our patching policies were not solid, so with continuos utilization GFI LanGuard allowed to tag those security concerns and have a better response time and preventive actions against software threats.
