"Exceptional Support and Intuitive Platform for Scientific Conferences"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

Almost everything. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and very well-suited for managing a scientific conference. I appreciated the clear structure, smooth registration and abstract submission processes, and the flexibility in managing participants and content. Above all, customer support is exceptional — fast, helpful, and genuinely supportive throughout the whole process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

Some specific features were missing or limited at times (e.g. invoice editing, form flexibility), but in every case, the customer support team helped me find a workable solution. Moreover, I appreciated that some of these functions were gradually introduced during the course of organizing the event, which shows that the platform is actively evolving based on user feedback. "Super intuitive event platform with top support – exactly what you need!"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

What I like best about Fourwaves is that the platform is very easy and intuitive to use and offers all the necessary functions to organize an online event with a poster session. The simplicity of implementation makes the work particularly pleasant. Additionally, the platform can be seamlessly integrated with other tools like Zoom. It is also particularly convenient that with an annual license, the platform can be used for additional events. The support is extremely fast and friendly, and the price is very fair compared to other platforms. The collaboration was truly a pleasure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

Although some features are still missing, the platform is rapidly evolving and implementing customer suggestions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Indispensable for event organization, responsive support and practical tools"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

It is a really useful platform. I wouldn't organize any event without Fourwaves, because it is very easy to use and consult. I have always received quick responses to my questions, and the team is very available. Even after my event is over, I still use Fourwaves to contact recipients or create documents with participants. Their document transfer tool in Excel version is particularly handy and continues to serve me well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

I have been using this application since its inception, and I have noticed that it has evolved a lot and greatly improved over the years. The only aspect that bothers us is the evaluators section. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Platform, Thoughtfully Designed, Makes Conference Organizing a Breeze"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

Platform is very easy to use and intuitive. Has many great features that allow participants to interact with each other and make things so much easier from the organizer's standpoint. They seem to have thought of everything. I highly recommend this product for anyone that is hosting or organizing an academic (or indeed any other) conference. "Effortless Event Management with Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

My team and I truly enjoyed working with Fourwaves. The platform is user-friendly, and the customer service is outstanding. For event management involving calls for proposals and review committees, it greatly simplifies the process. It is also the ideal tool for handling schedules, payments, and all the logistics around an event, making everything smooth and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

For non-profit events like ours, the price is definitely something to consider. However, given the amount of time and effort it saves, we believe it’s worth the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Interface with Effortless Reporting"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

User friendly, fast updates in real time, easy reporting, customer support is great and quick to respond Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

Under the abstract management side, when authors/speakers are entered, they populate into a single cell in the report. We need all individuals names to populate in to separate cells (first name, last name, etc. for each), so we can filter.

It would be great if the schedule function on the event website could setup different types agendas. We do not Fourwaves for our event website, as a result. We would also prefer the event website to be more customizable, allow for more graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Made creating our confereence website easy"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

Builing the conference website was very intuitive and when we experienced any difficulties or had questions the Fourwaves team were very quick to respond and provide solutions. Abstract submissions and evaluations were all very smooth and registrations were processed easily. Creating the schedule and the conference booklet were also quick since everything is in one place. Our attendees also found the site easy to navigate and liked that the up-to-date conference schedule was always available on the website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

Since our conference was relatively small, the cost associated with using Fourwaves represented a significant part of our budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fourwaves makes running academic events simple, affordable, and stress-free"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

We are the Mississippi Academy of Sciences, a non-profit organization led by faculty volunteers that hosts 2–3 student-focused events each year. Our mission is to ensure these events remain affordable for the many students who attend to present their scientific research. In March 2026, we will proudly host our 90th annual meeting.

Over the years, we have used several abstract submission and registration platforms. Some required separate systems for abstracts and registration, which made cross-referencing time-consuming and difficult. Others offered both functions but lacked a central event landing page. Fourwaves has been exceptional in meeting all of these needs by combining abstract submission, registration, and an event landing page that links seamlessly to our organization’s website.

Equally important, the Fourwaves team is responsive, reliable, and proactive in providing guidance. Their narrated video tutorials are simple, clear, and invaluable in helping us optimize our platform. During contract renewal, we especially appreciated the CEO’s thoughtful review of the features we actually used, ensuring we selected the right plan without unnecessary added costs. This integrity and customer-first approach set them apart.

For the past three years, our partnership with Fourwaves has been outstanding. Their support team consistently provides quick, patient responses—something we value greatly as a group that is not especially tech-savvy. The platform itself is intuitive, rich in features, and offers excellent value for the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

Only one minor limitation we’ve encountered is that if someone registers with an invoice but later decides to pay by credit card, they must use a different email address. This can make it more difficult to track submissions, registrations, and the total number of participants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Support and Continuous Improvements"
What do you like best about Fourwaves?

Fourwaves has been quick to respond to any rare technical issues that have occurred and promptly investigate what went wrong to prevent a reoccurrence. They are happy to guide you through setup if needed, and they occasionally check in to make sure everything is running smoothly and to see if you have any questions.

They also make improvements and add new features on a regular basis. After each event I've provided feedback on my experience, and by the time I start my next event they've already implemented much of what I've suggested or are in the process of doing so. Each event gets better and easier thanks to their hard work and dedication to the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fourwaves?

For the cost of the lower tier events I think more submissions should be included without needing to purchase the "unlimited submissions" add-on. A compromise may be that more submissions are allowed, but the limit applies to how many submissions are actually accepted and included in the event.

If you have the top tier plan and want to run a second active event that is much smaller, you are forced to pay the full price of the top tier plan for each event even if you don't need all the bells and whistles. It should be an option to purchase the appropriate tier based on each individual event needs. This is not a big concern for many I am sure, but it is for a non-profit trying to use their funds wisely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
