"Forthcast’s Stock Health Dashboard Makes Inventory Forecasting Effortless"

What do you like best about Forthcast?

I work with Forthcast at my organisation which is an AI-based demand forecasting software that helps in retail & ecom supply chains. Before implementing the new optimized system, we used to rely on a spreadsheet system. Now, non Forthcast your stock count data from your Shopify, Amazon, and TikTok is one view.

Forthcast "Stock Health" dashboard is the most effective feature for me. This screen categorizes our entire catalog into useful groups like SKUs soon to stockout, SKUs in danger, slow-movers, etc. It's really easy for the tool to handle my SKU quantity. What do you dislike about Forthcast?

While this tool is nice, we would benefit from some more reporting export, When I have to report our inventory health to executive leadership, I need to export the data and build the charts and tables for them in Excel. What problems is Forthcast solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to Forthcast, every division compiled demand in isolation on different fractured spreadsheets. There were always bottlenecks there, with much human error arising. Forthcast has provided us with a single source of truth. During our first quarter of usage, we saw around a 40% reduction in stockouts, and around 25% less excess inventory, along with better overall cover. What do you like best about Forthcast?

We linked our Shopify business as well as launched machine learning predictions quickly. The price reflects an abundance of functionality that is particularly impressive. Demand tracking, suggestions for reordering, safety stocks, low stock alert, and purchase order generation are all going to work together quite well. What do you dislike about Forthcast?

When we onboarded the platform, we had changes done to the dashboard settings so the stock health reports would display in a way the team wanted it to be. The system here is capable of doing a lot of stuff. The SKU-drilldown view forecasts at the per-item level. Before Forthcast, our stock preparation was done manually a hundred percent. Constant VLOOKUPS in Excel was part of our daily routine as we replaced our old Shopify Stocky workflow. Our entire catalog now has automated demand forecasts, reorder points, and restocking recommendations. This is helping to reduce sizing stockouts; to avoid putting too much money into excess inventory in the warehouse; to spend much less time doing manual planning; and to improve daily ordering decisions. What do you like best about Forthcast?

Migration‍‌‍‍‌ of our historic numbers was done very fast just in a click. Automatically, the system not only generates draft purchase orders but also adheres to the MOQ of each supplier. Thanks to their use of machine learning algorithms, our optimal reorder points are not only accurately calculated but bundle decomposition is also well handled. According to the replenishment table layout that fits our daily routine, we can even customize it. What do you dislike about Forthcast?

Advanced‍‌‍‍‌ forecasting intelligence tools require a lot of time to familiarize the new operators. One has to learn a little how to tune the most complicated parameters of seasonal adjustment. The present system already generates a good return on investment, but we have to find and incorporate more native data connections with regional accounting platforms besides Xero. What problems is Forthcast solving and how is that benefiting you?

Since Shopify Stocky announced its approaching end-of-lifetime sunset, we have continually found ourselves out of stock on our top sizes due to messy manual spreadsheets and guesswork. Before, we considered Fabrikatör and Prediko but did not find them as user-friendly. Forthcast has a solution that solves this and automates our inventory tracking and gives clear visibility to our Revenue at Risk. This has led to the significant reduction of stockouts, a huge time doer for our small team with the elimination of manual entry and the maintenance of a perfectly balanced warehouse. Just a click and we’re connected to your Shopify store. My favorite feature is that it creates draft purchase orders automatically. It indeed takes our supplier’s minimum order quantities (MOQs) into account. The Stock Health dashboard gives us a visual overview of what needs to be re-ordered. In the past, we utilized large and complex Google Sheets. Assuming demand for apparel sizes resulted in constant stockouts on bestsellers. Simultaneously, our cash was tied up in dead stock.
