I love the app and how easy it is for me to add and track receipts for tax time. As a new business owner, I originally kept my paper receipts in an envelope in a filing cabinet. They would fade and not be legible come tax time. I would often lose receipts before they made it to the filing cabinet which meant I would lose expense write offs. This app allows me to quickly photo and track my expenses. I no longer need to worry about lost paper receipts and I have the confidence that everything is properly and safely recorded. As a business owner and landlord, I love how I can create categories for my expenses and sort them easily so that when tax time comes around, I can easily create a spreadsheet automatically based on the categories. It makes tax time a breeze for write-offs and expenses. I also love how Foreceipt can scan a receipt and accurately input all of the required information so I don't have to do it manually. The only thing I dislike is that when I upload a picture of a receipt or scan it, ever so often the data that is automatically input (often the date) is not correct, so I just have to verify that the data was uploaded correctly. But even then, the amount of time saved is well worth it. Some receipts have the date in different formats (12/11/2025 or 11/12/2025) so I can understand why it might be incorrect, and am not upset about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a realty agent, I used to keep all my receipts in a box, then manually enter them into an excel file for my yearend tax return. It's tedious and time consuming. After I started to use Foreceipt, such pain is gone. I just use my phone to scan it whenever I have a receipt. It automatically extracts all information accurately. At yearend, I go to the web portal to generate a report and forward to my accountant, I am ready for my tax-return. I am not a technical guy, I like their quick response whenever I have questions. For my small business, I don't need complicated function. The receipt scanning, email receipt processing, manual receipt entry, plus reporting are good enough for me. There’s not much to dislike. Occasionally, syncing between devices takes a few seconds longer than I’d like when I switch to another device, but most of time it is almost instantly, so it’s minor compared to the overall convenience the app provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Whenever I get a paper receipt, I just scan it with my phone — Foreceipt extracts all the details and even categorizes it automatically. For email receipts, I simply forward them to my dedicated Foreceipt email, and they’re processed for me. For other expenses without receipts, I can easily upload them from my bank statement or a CSV file.

With everything tracked in one place, managing my expenses has never been easier. At year-end, I just generate a PDF or Excel report and send it to my accountant — done! Because people record expenses at the moment of purchase, the backlog disappeared and “missing receipt” issues fell by about 80%. Submissions now arrive coded correctly, so the finance–field ping-pong basically vanished. Our accountant gets one clean packet, HST prep is same-day, and audit questions take minutes instead of hours. Affordable Price and receipt scanning. Just scan every receipt as soon as you get it. Or forward the email to your Foreceipt email. It makes it possible for a one-man-business to keep track of expenses. That's all I need. I don't want to pay over $5 per month just to do that. Receipt scanning is not always accurate. Reports have a bad UI. A simple chronological timeline of all expenses and the ability to sort by category with better UI and UX would be a welcome upgrade. I've been using Foreceipt for a while now. I use it all the time. I love being able to track all of my receipts. Prior to using the app I had no way to track my receipts.
