This add-on can be useful for small and large businesses and it will save time for SharePoint users.
Flyview History is another feature which is worth mentioning. If you navigate to a SharePoint site, the site address is stored in the history and can be accessed easily. Technically, if we need to access already visited sites, we can use the browser history, but the good thing about Flyview, is that it focuses solemnly on SharePoint, but not any other site types.
Instant search is a great feature too. It is faster than regular search and a user can search any library instantly.
Document pinning can be quite useful feature too. It allows users to pin multiple documents in preview mode on the screen and to compare those if necessary.
I can give one specific example. Not long ago, I have completed a migration from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013 and the main question most users had – where is the breadcrumb? In many enterprises, when SharePoint 2013 version is used, Flyview is a very useful add-on.
In general, I would like to give some positive and a little neutral feedback.
Neutral: The plugin is quite new, from what I understood it was developed about a year ago, extensive knowledge base is not available, the price for the server version is not known.
Positive: Client version is available, it quite useful and works fast, very easy to install, Chrome browser is supported, document previews are available, SharePoint site history is available, no known compatibility issues, instant search and document pinning. Server version is quite easy to install also, it’s only a matter of uploading and activating the solution at the site collection level.
In conclusion, I would like to state and I will be using this add-on for business projects in SharePoint 2013. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
