Findlaw has never found me a suitable attorney. AND it is grossly inaccurate in its reporting. I would not recommend Findlaw. I would go straight to County, State, and Federal Records systems **What do you dislike about FindLaw?** As stated previously, most everything. Quite honestly, this a private, profiteering organization with little regard for accuracy and service. One is better off to complete their own research through court records. **What problems is FindLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Findlaw is irresponsible and inaccurate. They refuse to rectify their erroneous reporting, although they have been repeatedly made aware of their mistakes regarding my case. ### 2. It is a recognized name that Law Firms can trust and have trusted for a long time. For FindLaw specifically, we have degreed lawyers on the editorial and marketing staff that understand how law firms work and how they need to present themselves. And they help provide content for the websites. **What do you dislike about FindLaw?** Not much to dislike except that there are competitors out there that know nothing of the Legal field, but present themselves as being able to help a business without any actual experience in their workforce. They were sometimes cheaper and it was an effort to convince the client that actual expertise is their friend. **What problems is FindLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Findlaw is putting the Law Firm client in front of the audience they serve. It helps the Law Firm speak to the Client's problems that they need solved and acts as a bridge between the client and the Law Firm that they are seeking. ### 3. I have had that email since 1999. I have done much research on this site and never been disappointed. I have several contacts who also use the site for research and development. **What do you like best about FindLaw?** The site is easy to maneuver and has so many areas of interest that you can get caught up just reviewing the options **What do you dislike about FindLaw?** The email is no longer secure which is a bummer. **What problems is FindLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have had no problems and really just wish the email was secure. I have utilized this site for 21 years so obviously, they are doing something right! ### 5. I see that it is really a reliable platform for legal matters. ### 6. This is a great section for reference and to get short summaries of legal concepts to help explain them to clients and other laypeople. Also the cases and code section is useful for personal reference either when doing legal research or looking for specific statutes. **What do you dislike about FindLaw?** The code section isn't as detailed as I would like it. Annotations would also be helpful. **What problems is FindLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solving problems with quick research, specifically finding statutes that I need for drafting legal documents, in motion practice and memos. Most recently, I used FindLaw when drafting a motion to recuse a judge in a civil district court in Texas. Today, that motion was granted! ### 9. They can list all of their contact information as well as the reason they are seeking legal advise so that our office can somewhat determine if the case is something we can take on. **What do you dislike about FindLaw?** The biggest issue is the amount of inquiries that come in that do not pertain to our legal filed. This becomes a bit annoying to deal with as we are having to take time to read each legal issue that is submitted and about 60% of them do not fall into our field. This is something that should be looked into to improve. **What problems is FindLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simply is another way our office can receive more hot leads. It has not improved our business by to much but has trickled in some smaller cases that help the office. ### 10. Find Law also offers e-filing and e-signing services which can be very useful for a small office or nonprofit. Find Law is a great way to navigate the complex legal world when you do not have a substantial legal background. **What do you dislike about FindLaw?** I don't love the way it looks. It's very basic but it gets the job done. I think if it was a little more minimalist it would definitely look a little more appealing. The style, color and fonts are very dated in my opinion. **Recommendations to others considering FindLaw:** Explore the software to really understand the ins and outs of the features FindLaw offers. Since it it not an extremely minimal software, you really need to play around with and explore everything it can offer. Ultimately it's a pretty powerful tool to explore case law needed to make business decisions, e-file documents and complete e-signatures. **What problems is FindLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a good substitute for business who do not have or may not be able to afford an in house attorney. ### 11. I attest to the level of accuracy in the attorney's ratings. **What do you dislike about FindLaw?** Would like more attorneys to show up in the searches, sometimes a well know firm doesn't appear in results. **What problems is FindLaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Able to find attorney/law firm which specialize in certain areas of law. ### 12.
