I did like the idea of an AI and easy to sync bookeeping system

I had a very disappointing experience with Finaloop. I was charged around $4,000 with the promise of having access to a human bookkeeper for support, but that never materialized.

Within just a few weeks, I couldn’t reliably log in or get my accounts to sync, which made the service essentially unusable. When I reached out for help, instead of resolving the issues, I was told I would need to pay even more to get proper support. That was extremely frustrating and felt unreasonable.

Ultimately, I switched back to a traditional bookkeeping service and found it to be more reliable, and actually more affordable than this AI-based option.

Also, instead of refunding me for the remaining subscription they said they have a no return policy.

Solves a lot of ecom specific challenges with bookkeeping. Specifically, I appreciate how it manages our pre-orders by using deferred revenue for pre-orders that are unfulfilled. I also appreciate that is connects with so many of our sales channels, like Shopify and Amazon, to give us up-to-the-day accuracy. They way they are managing Shopify Collective and dropship vendors is a huge improvement over QBO and even their own previous methods. They are constantly innovating to improve features, and customer service always replies quickly. We have a quarterly call to make sure everything is working properly. I've had issues over time, but most of them have been solved. My only current complaint is loans are not automatically expenses and amortizes on a monthly basis. I really enjoy their direct integration with the selling platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, and so on. Everything gets updated very quickly!

For what you get the price is really good. If I used basic QuickBooks it would cost me about the same (can't remember the QuickBooks price), but I would still have to do so much work to do my books and actually figure out our numbers. If I used the QuickBooks bookkeeping service, I would be paying out the wazoo. Everything is so easy with Finaloop. The transactions get categorized correctly the vast majority of the time, the integrations are super helpful and easy, I can see our P&L and Balance Sheet in real-time, and their support is very good - I almost always get a detailed response via email within 24 hours. I'd like to upload invoices and have them automatically read and input. Bank account updates do not go into Finaloop instantaneously. Might be if the transaction is still processing it doesnt show up till its completed but it causes some backlog for me. I would also like it if I could import past transactions. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be automation. Over the years, I’ve tested five different accounting software options to manage my e-commerce business, but none have matched the efficiency of Finaloop. After completing our first full year with it, I can confidently say I’ve spent less time on accounting tasks than ever before. Now that year-end 2025 comes around, I expect to finish everything in a matter of hours instead of the weeks it used to take.

When I made the rash decision of Integrating Finaloop in Oct of 2024 the support team made it take less time then working through my current books. All Shopify and Amazon sales were instantly logged, all old CC transactions categorized in a few hours work.

Finaloop is Amazing for Ecom. However that comes with a less then robust system for B2B sales. However with constant updates and a truly dedicated support team a workaround or new way to do things can be found relatively quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love using Finaloop for accounting as it has significantly changed my experience by providing real-time, clear financial statements. I find it easy to track vendor expenses and inventory purchases because all my business accounts are linked, including e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Shopify. Most importantly, the 3 Financial Statements are almost real-time! Their team is very responsive, and even if they don't have an immediate answer, they let me know they're working on it. Since last year, their integration with Amazon has been changed. Or rather, they said Amazon changed how the sales and expense data flow into Finaloop, which causes delays in sales and expenses, meaning my P&L is not really real-time now. They said they are working with Amazon to solve this. I'm looking forward to that. Other than that, if anything to complain is that most of their service team is based somewhere else which sometimes has delays in replies. I use Finaloop for e-commerce accounting and tax reporting, and what I love most about it is the ease of use and onboarding. The support team is fabulous, always helping out when needed. It's built specifically for e-commerce sellers, addressing our unique challenges. The seamless connectivity to financial institutions saves me hours every month by syncing and importing transactions automatically. I also love the homepage for providing a quick summary of our business, and the graphs and charts are great for gauging our performance.
