What do you like best about Figma?

Figma has a really good cross-section featureset for a piece of prototyping software. Its strengths lie in its easy-to-use interface (similar to Adobe products!), great file structure and organization, and powerful handoff tools for communicating and delivering to development teams. Honestly, in the intervening years, Figma has only gotten more powerful. The Sites functionality and the Slides functionality have replaced other tools I've been using in the past. What do you dislike about Figma?

Figma lacks some animation compatibility. I often rely on Adobe After Effects and custom CSS to relay my animation requirements to the dev teams I work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Figma:

I definitely prefer Figma to most prototyping software as a service offerings. If you value things other than Animation, it's probably the best offering on the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Figma solving and how is that benefiting you?

Figma has solved the file structure issues we previously experienced while using Adobe Xd. The robust folder system and easy link sharing have made communicating with dev teams easier and faster. Figma is also just a really robust family of tools that considers so many different user profiles (designer, developer, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Software with intentional design flaws"

What do you like best about Figma?

What do you dislike about Figma?

It has intentional design flaws to encourage the end user to purchase higher cost licenses. For example, SCIM provisioning on the organization tier does not work properly. When a user account is created in Figma, via SCIM, the account is locked until the user logs in for the first time. This prevents admins from assigning licenses or making any other changes. Basically, it is JIT provisioning! They do this to try an attract you to their highest payment plan where License, team, and role management via SCIM is enabled. I'm sure there's a lawsuit in here somewhere.

Another design flaw is that, unless you are on the enterprise tier, it's very hard to manage seat allocation. End users seem to spontaneously receive the most expensive seat and we have to constantly review this to keep costs down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
